There is no way they will announce it today for today. Either Monday or no announcement today.
We dont know, if it has crucial online info and it launches in 2 weeks then they want that info out asap. Normally i would agree with you, but with what happened in japan its a special circumstance and not the first time a direct airs on a friday
Just don't get your hopes up for today, that's all I'm saying.

Why do I get the feeling they are going to announce the ND day on the weekend and then have the Direct on Monday/Tuesday
Yoshi is 2019 and now seems pretty certain that they would have shown an update on that.
Nintendo UK just posted this YO-KAI WATCH BLASTERS launch trailer, probably something else that was planned for the direct.
Yeah it's kind of weird that Nintendo delayed the direct, but some of the companies involved are still going about it business as usual. It kind of softens the intent of the delay.
I'm guessing when they reannounce the direct the length will be closer to 30 minutes rather than 35.
If the Animal Crossing game has city building features I'm going to scream.
Not a leak but if a Pokemon trailer is shown during the weekend there go five minutes of the Direct that will basically be duplicate information

Looks unlikely to be Cities, sadly. But her tweet, plus the rumour about the city builder coming, did have me thinking that.
Edit: Civ VI! Yeah, that'd sort of cover the rumour of the city builder style of game I guess. Not sure it accounts for LKB's tweet though?
It won't be today. The delay announcement even said that "this week's" Direct will be delayed, implying that it won't happen this week.
Or it will stay 35 minutes and they will add an official apology about the delay.

Didn't the 4chan leak have a game like Animal Crossing Town Founder?
Is this a confirmed legit site? They don't seem to have a source on their post and are the only ones who've said it.

First party stuff won't be revealed early. The most we'll probably get is title leaks like Yoshi.
It is a problematic game, it's going to end all of your free time =D.
The tweet is about Surviving Mars, it doesn't say anything about Cities.
