DMC5 at PSX with Dante, Vergil and Nero apparently playable.
In Tekken?
No, I mean, In DMC. LolIn Tekken?
I mean, it would be cool to see some gun-kata in there I guess.
I know, right?I been cracking into DMC4:SE again recently because reasons. Got a warm-up with the missions, and then decided to try out some Lady in the BP. I didn't spend much time with her before, but gatdam her combos are fun. Raw power incarnate right there.
Her lack of mobility does make up for some of that.I need Lady to get her own set of enemies. Fun as hell to play, but makes most encounters a cakewalk.
Not enough imo.
True.
If there's one thing I hope is in DMC5 (other than a big roster), it's elemental affinities and weaknesses. I always dug that system.
Think he's referring more to the system that was in DMC3 with Devil Arms having certain elements attached to it, like Cerberus being ice and vulnerable to Agni & Rudra since it's wind and fire. It was neat, but it felt largely negligible after a point not unlike Vergil's Concentration Meter in DMC4 SEYou mean like the ones in DmC? Not much love for those gimmicks in character action.

Yup. The three affinities were light (Beowulf), ice (Cerberus), and fire (Agni & Rudra). Lightning (Nevan) and dark (Rebellion/Yamato/Force Edge) technically exist, but they're just neutral so they don't mean anything. Some enemies (not all) were weak to and/or strong against particular elements. Some elements destroyed certain bosses/enemies more than others (Beowulf could total Doppelgänger). It gets more negligible in high level play since your combos are probably insane anyways (similar to Concentration), but it's still a factor that either kills enemies quicker or lets them live longer. Though, if we stick to the playable systems in DMC5 that we have in DMC4:SE, then some characters would have an inherent advantage. Assuming the same elements would stick as in DMC3, then Vergil and Nero would have inherent advantages that none of the others have (Vergil's Beowulf and Nero's Red Queen Exceed).Cool thanks for clearing that up. I honestly had no idea that was even a system.

Not a necessary mechanic by any means, but it'd be a fun one to see return. Adds a very small amount of depth, but depth none the less.
Also, I've been putting some time into Trish...Jesus christ. I love how every character is OP.
As far as I know it was the only in DMC3, though it may have been in DMC2, given the amulet stuff. Was this system in 1? I have to try Beowulf out against Doppelganger when i finally get the style switcher mod working again.
That list will keep growing. SC6 up next!!!We can now include Valkyria Chronicles 4 existing and being a full fledged console game in the list of improbable announcement that happened before DMC 5.

If I'm being real, I wouldn't mind a full and complete remake of DMC2 with modern systems. If we don't get a DMC5, I'll take that as substitute.
I'm pretty sure Rebellion's affinity is Magic, and Yamato does a lot of damage to Fallen and Beowulf.Lightning (Nevan) and dark (Rebellion/Yamato/Force Edge) technically exist, but they're just neutral so they don't mean anything
This would be amazing. I really hope they do it one day, but it's most likely a pipe dream.
