Hello friends, I just started the game. Made it outside of the lab and I was wondering what the fastest way to gain XP is? I wanna upgraded the web slinging skills ASAP.

There's a suit mod that will allow you gain more exp from combat, that's what I have equipped and it's has been tremendous.

Plus later in the game you can grind in base fighting goons over and over and over. But really if you do all the side quest before doing the main mission you will finish it up pretty quickly.

Any idea when new game plus is coming? I basically did everything in this game and got gold in it all. I was trying to start a new game, but not being able to carry over at least your suits sucks, any way to do that?

Electro/Vulture was great, really liked the use of vertical space. It was fun trying to stay airborne to fight them. Also really liked the last Negative fight and Doc Ock, of course.

Doesn't game help you stay airborne? It does require constant movement to stay at same height but you cannot land on ground in that fight.

Agreed on fight though. All boss fights are fun.

Oh come on they really left his suit on when,

He gets injured and they're treating him at feast. I woulda even preferred if they used his shirtless model.

Its the first thing in this game that's turned me off. Liked everything so far.

I hope there's a bit more to NG+ than just carrying over your progression and slightly tougher enemies, but I understand if that's all it ends up being. I haven't played it but God of War's seemed pretty substantive.

At the same time I suppose God of War isn't really having any DLC though, so maybe it's unrealistic to expect some minor new content from MSM's NG+.

At the very least I want another suit to unlock for doing it

I have an extra pre-order code if anyone wants it. I think it comes with talent points, suits, ps4 avatar and a theme? First to PM gets it.

I'm about 5 hours ins. Do they incentivize exploring the world? Beyond the fun of swinging of course. I feel like everything is pointed out to me on the map so nothing is missable. Without getting into spoilers, I was wondering if there are some surprise quests you can stumble upon.

What am I missing with the combat challenges. Like I'm giving a 100 hit combo and still not 65k points... What?
Look at the time bonus at the end of each round. If you do it fast enough you will get 70k from the time bonus alone. You won't even need the other bonuses.

Equip all Focus recharge perks and make sure you have the ability that lets you do a second takedown.

Finished the game.

Truly can't believe how good the story was. FANTASTIC. I love this world, this tone, this Spider-Man, this MJ, this Miles, etc. It's all wonderful.

Finished this

'The Pretty Good Spider Man'

Most of the main missions are great, the abilities and graphics are fucking great. The side content is a bit weak and unimaginative. I think they should ditch alternate characters for the sequel unless you only play as different Spider Men or
symbiotes

What are your hopes for a sequel?

I think for me more story based side missions like Arkham has. I honestly wouldn't care if they completely ripped off the Riddler concept (Black cat was only half the way there) and filled the world with puzzle based collectables, that slowly unraveled this larger narrative

- Comprehensive story based side missions (including optional/missable ones) with entirely unique locations, characters, plot, lore, cutscenes, mini bosses, rewards etc.

- Multiple cities, dynamic time of day and a dynamic weather system. Give me full on lightning storms, heavy rain, snow storms, deep winter snow, cloudy days, sunsets, heat waves, autumn leaves et all. Hell have the game transition over seasons, so we get to experience NY during Christmas as well as during summer.

Just finished it and am completely and utterly floored at the quality of this game.

From the traversal and combat (and how seamlessly they blend together) to the story and characters and music, it's just pure class and quality all around.

I did not expect the story to be this good.

This is basically the best Spider-Man game and the best Spider-Man movie in one.

This is the first PS4 game I have ever played. I only recently got a PS4 and it was mostly for the media functions... saw a good deal and I took it.

As someone who is primarily a PC gamer I'm really impressed with the visual quality. Like... I was dreading even trying the game out. I actually started capping my FPS and lowering my graphic quality (I was playing The Witcher 3 which is still a fantastic looking game) in preparations. Don't think it runs at 1080p... but it still looks fairly crisp and 30 FPS cap always feel a bit better on a TV to me. Starting the game I was almost positive it was a CG cutscene... that transition was pretty wild. Amazing work.

Sony exclusives usually draw more out of the PS4 than what its numbers would suggest. Wait till you see games like Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Detroit... You are very lucky you got all these amazing games waiting for you now. :)

Rented this and have been playing for a while, boy it sure is fun. I think I'm gonna wait until they do a gold edition or whatever and pick it up.

One thing that's pretty interesting is how seemingly accurate of a NYC they have created. It's not 1:1 I'm sure, I'm not from there only visited, but I was really surprised that they got the location of the last hotel I stayed at dead on. It's just listed as "NYC Hotel" in game (I think it was called Hotel Edison), but it's exactly where it should be. Very cool.

I wasted a lot of challenge tokens on upgrades, now I need 10 more tokens for the suits
Goddammit, I hate those fricking challenges

I finally finished the game... Holy cow. I can say, without a doubt, that that was the best Spider-Man experience ever for me. No movie or game even comes close. It's the closest we've gotten to the comics and how they make me feel, and that just makes me so damn happy! Having read Hostile Takeover makes it even better, so I'm glad I did that. It's not perfect, mind you, but it's the closest we've ever gotten with a superhero game. I am incredibly excited for the sequel, but I want Insomniac to take all the time they need to make it even better than this, improve on their shortcomings and truly perfect it.

Will post story impressions later, but suffice to say, Marvel's Spider-Man is going down as one of the best Spider-Man stories out there. It's one of my favorites for sure.

I finished at 94% with about 40 secret photos left, a few challenges, bases, and a handful of collectibles left.

Asking again cause I'm worried, lol, but there'll still be random crimes happening even after I clear all the crimes in districts, right...?

This. So much this!

I hated collecta-thons in open world games. I'd do a bunch when I'm nearby or come across it but not everything. This time around is like "what would Spidey do?". When it ramped up in Act 3, i have the "responsibility" to take on the random spawns of dudes every block. Can't have them goons with rocket launchers litter in NYC.

My feelings exactly.

And yes, random crimes still happen once you have 100% the game, while waiting for New Game + all I'm doing is swinging around, solving crimes and taking pictures.

Am I the only one finding the sable agents annoying. Snipers and rocket launchers seem to overwhelm you after the raft stuff
