I'm more worried that you're gonna be soloing most the combat and that there won't really be a party. That being said, the first half of the trailer didn't show combat stuff much. I just assume the non-combat stuff is in a rougher state, since good looking cutscenes take a pretty long time to make.

It certainly looks like how a current-gen Harry Potter game would look, but the footage kinda bummed me out honestly. Wasn't quite RPG, wasn't quite action-adventure, just kinda bland... And the art style was pretty boring... Fighting ugly trolls is like the least appealing thing you could ask me to do, there are so many more interesting creatures and animals... Left me pretty lukewarm (and I'm big on Harry Potter)

Eeh. I liked the three books that I read when I was young but haven't watched the movies or given the IP much thought since then. But it looks cool so if it turns out to be a great game I might give it a chance.

Damn looks pretty fun. Would be cool to have a good wizarding world game where you can be sorted and choose a bit of your path.

"Freely explore the wizarding world" also sounds exciting, wonder if we can just go to Hogsmeade, Forbidden Forest and such whenever we want, of if it's just restricted to exploring Hogwarts School itself.

Wonder what it means by "8 different Wizard types" though.

Focus groups are generally very lax and show lots of "what could be / could have been". I was a part of several focus groups in my teens and I had my phone. I even recorded one of the unaired ads of a local telco for one of the assignments in high-school.

It's QA where you have to sit through confidential stuff, focus groups are generally very open and not many companies put you under an NDA.

This gives me hope that one day maybe we'll get a AAA Pirates of the Caribbean game but I'll settle for KH3 for now.

We've already been told this game is still early in development and it'll be awhile before it's released, at least 2 years or so away. We're not seeing it in November. This footage wasn't meant to be shown to anyone, it's internal development footage.

Never say never. Disney still finds it a lucrative franchise. But at least KH3 is giving it justice. Pirates world looks great and just what I'd imagine it would look like including ship battles.

The guy on Reddit says NDA's were being filled out but he didn't sign one.

"They forgot to have me sign the paper work to be honest. The guy even filled out all the survery stuff for the videos for me. All I physically did was watch the video and that was it. If anything, i'm not even sure if they used my name. For real this was super sketchy. I have never done surverys for random people who walk up to you but I don't regret it now"
