Already finished Kiwami and didnt enjoy Bulletstorm on Ps3, so nothing for me. But no big deal, Red Dead will keep me busy for a while.

Guess I can start getting into Yakuza. Should I play this one first or Zero? I think it will be simpler if I just go by order of release starting with Zero.

kiwami first.

basically play them in order of release (substituting the original releases for the kiwami games) you'll see a more natural development and improvement as the series progresses, and Zero actually ends up making more sense since you have the context of the mainline series to compare it to. a bit like watching better call saul after breaking bad. sometimes prequels are better watched after so you have the reference point of the original.

playing zero first (essentially the best game in the series mechanically and visually) and then moving onto what is essentially a 12 year old game is going to be rough and you'll struggle with it i guarantee you.

I played Zero and right away after started with Kiwami and honestly it was kind of struggle to get through it some ways, the boss fights ( and lot of other fights ) just felt cheap and not as finely tuned as some encounters in Zero was.

Seriously, i have no idea what they were thinking with bosses like Jingu. Once his back up dudes resurrected i was like ''no fucking way'' and focused just on the bastard first.

I only rushed through the story. No way i'm doing all side content. It's fun to do in other Yakuza games, but here nope.

Nice bargain bin games. Too bad Bulletstorm won't include the Duke Nukem stuff.

I say bargain bin not because of their quality but because I've seen both of these games for $10 new multiple times.

Already played both original games.
Will gladly replay Kiwami, maybe also Bulletstorm if I have time.
Both are really great though!

7 year old game and Yakuza that people are saying is worse than Zero which would have actually interested me? Now I can't even hope for decent Plus November, thanks Sony

Decent games, which of course means that I already own them! Strange to see the early announcement - I have to wonder whether this was actually intentional...

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't even care that i already own Yakuza Kiwami, just the fact that it's going reach an even larger audience is incredibly exciting!

I just hope the difficulty spike compared to starting with 0 doesn't turn people off.

Finished Yakuza 0 last week.

Getting Kiwami "for free" is awesome.
As for Bulletstorm - I got it already on PS3, played a little bit of it but I didn't like it.

Starting with 0 or Kiwami is whatever.

Kiwami has early game pacing issues, boss fights are meh, the story isn't as good and the Majima Everywhere system can become overbearing in the endgame. 0 is arguably the better game, and going back to Kiwami definitely feels like a step back.

That said, Kiwami is still a good game and I feel they did enough to bring the gameplay to modern standards.

However, I think it's worth playing 0 first, if only for the better set up of Nishiki's story.

They've already given away Bulletstorm before, though it was on PS3. Love that game, already played through it twice, but might give it another go

LOL I bought Bulletstorm for a huge discount from the closing Toys R Us store near me and I still haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Guess I'll sell both it and Yakuza Kiwami for something cheap and download the PS Plus versions.

Yeah I would advice you to take a lil break after Yakuza 0 to fully enjoy Kiwami. Finish Yakuza 0, play something different and come back to enjoy Kiwami.
Yeah I was thinking the same. I'm on chapter 7, and considering how long this game is, with the main story, mini games, substories, etc... I don't wanna get burned out.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will take care of that.

I don't have PS+ so this kinda sucks. Like, I could pay for it for 3 months and play Kiwami...but that's $20. And you can find Kiwami used for roughly the same price.

Excellent month! I'll probably have fun with Bulletstorm (never played, heard good things), and more people being exposed to Yakuza is never a bad thing.

I won Y0 in a giveaway on the old site and now I am getting Kiwami through Plus. I'll eventually have the entire series without having to pay anything. :P

But yeah, I am in the middle of Y0 right now and it is great. I was looking forward to Kiwami, so this is a really good month for me if it happens.

Great month!

Finally get to try Yakuza out. I feel bad for not doing so sooner!

Good choices, I own kiwami already but I'd happily replay Bulletstorm given I haven't played it since the originals launch.

Damn I bought Kiwami on sale last month :/

It would have been the first game to interest me since I subbed early this year.

This is actually a good month for me. I don't own either of these games, I have never played either of these games, and I have been thinking about giving Yakuza a try lately.

Oh nice, not played the Yakuza series since the second game on PS2 but have been meaning to revisit it.

And Bulletstorm is a great shooter. I hope PCF manage to release a sequel one day.
