This is amazing, especially given how well the game.

Sure, the platinum is very easy to obtain but a fair amount of the trophies are tied to side content, probably a good 15 hours of the 25 hours required isn't story related.

I've never seen a game which requires a fair amount of work outside the main path have such a high percentage. Achieving 100% in all districts also requires 145 repetitive random crimes being completed and even over 15% of people have done that. Guess it just shows how many people loved the gameplay and wanted to do all they could.

The DLC for this is going to be very popular, as is New Game + and the Ultimate difficulty incoming.

Spectacular game.

That's incredibly high for an open world PS4 game a month post release. This will bode well for the DLC sales.

This is a higher rate than campaign completion for many games.

That's double the usual percentage. Not having a difficulty related trophy helps a lot.

I've seen a LOT of people who got the Platinum despite not being trophy hunters, including myself. It helps that it's somewhat easy.

I'm not one to care about trophies much, but it feels a bit stupid how easy some games are to platinum.

Went for the platinum myself. Just wasn't ready to be done with the game and the fantastic swinging even made that bit of busy-work fun.

Well deserved for Insomniac!

Surprised that many people grinded through all the district crimes. I mean, I did it, but it was the last thing I did and it felt like it too forever.

I never completed an open world game ( 100% ). I did it for Spidey. Moving around NY is just too much fun and the combat is amazing as well.

I usually don't get platinum, but Spider-Man was one of the few I did. Pretty easy to get, but also pretty fun. Most of what was required didn't feel like a chore to attempt/complete.

It helps that it doesn't have stupid annoying trophies like most games. I plan on getting it eventually.

This makes me excited to play the game eventually. I am not really a trophy hunter but if side content is fun and accessible I normally try it out and continue on as long as I'm having fun with it.

I got the platinum, yeah. It's not a difficult one, it just gets boring when you have to clear out all the repetitive street crimes in the postgame.

That just means it's a braindead easy game for trash casuals. They should play a real game like Dark Souls.

Dark Souls isn't even hard to plat considering you can have people carry you and soul packet drop/power level. But I guess I'm just a trash casual because I also like a relaxed fun game, so what would I know.

I know Bloodborne is an easier plat than Dark Souls, but I was always surprised to see the PLAT rate on it to be near 8% before it finally went up as the free PSN game of the month, and has now fallen to about 5-6%.

Great so many have got the most out of it. Story completion will be even higher which is also great. From a dev prospective it must be really cool to see people completing the game they put years into making.

It's probably the easiest and one of the fastest to complete games I've 100%'d in my entire life (in the world of AAA games anyways).

It's the first game I've actually put effort in to Plat after years. And I did it in a very short amount of time. Game was just that fun.

I tend to collect "easy platinums" and they have recently become pretty rare, unless its a Telltale game (rip) or an indie who somehow managed to get platinum trophy. Spidey is just a shock because AAA games, let alone open world games tend to be a bit more harder or take longer to get the platinum. I just got the AC Origins Platinum and while its easy, it makes up its difficulty by being pretty lengthy to get. Even God of War and Horizon had a surprisingly manageable Platinum, so maybe its a new Sony mandate?

My second Platinum (Horizon Zero Dawn was my first).

I'm a massive Marvel and Spider-Man fan, so the game for me was outstanding and I couldn't put it down until it was finished.

Can't wait for the DLC to jump back in.

Insomniac's games tend to have easy platinums. Most of the Ratchet & Clank games are pretty easy too, particularly the PS4 one.

To me it just highlights how ridiculously pointless all the trimmings are in video games. Even more so if this statistic is usually half the rate of Spider-Man i.e. this specific game.

It's just a waste of time and resources that most players don't care about.

Part of me kind of wants to ask if anyone raise as much interest about the Platnium completion rate with God of War considering at the moment (according to PSNProfiles) the game has a close to a 1/3 platnium completion rate.

Still, it's not to say I'm not shocked about this since the good chunk of the trophies are pretty simple to get. Probably will grab the rest of them later on since I only rented the game myself.

Every time I got an optional trophy in that game my first thought was "really that many people bothered doing this!?" Which is opposite to what usually happens. Same thing witn God of War. Sony really did a great job with these games and their mainstream appeal.

I've never Platinumed a game before since my game time is limited, but this will be my first. Should get it done in another 2 weeks. Basically not playing anything else until Red Dead and I am fine pushing out playing that a week if I have too.

I platinumed this game earlier this week and then promptly deleted the application. 100%-ing Spider-Man was pretty dull & I really hope Insomniac doesn't stuff their next Spider-Man game with so many repetitive activities.

PSN profiles has only data from registered users which suffice to say they are usually Trophy hunters so it should not be regarded when it comes to Platinum rates discussion. GoW has a 5.5% Platinum completion on the accurate PSN.

Yeah a friend told me he plat'd the game in 33 hours, so I assumed it's very easy to get.

Yep, I just wanted any reason to swing around and fight some more. So, while the district stuff got old real fast, it was still fun because of the mechanics.

How much time and resources do you think it takes exactly?

It's fine, no resources are being "wasted."

Got mine today. The crimes are quite annoying towards the end, but felt surprisingly ok given I did 100+ of them in one sitting.

Other than that, the other side quests were all pretty good fun so well worth doing.
