Just checked in on this for the first time today... the GOP is so far gone at this point. He shouldn't have been confirmed after showing his ass at the Ford hearing - regardless of whether or not they believed Dr. Ford. The Republican party is a fucking disgrace, and every Republican voter is responsible for this shithead being on the Supreme Court.

Trump didn't, why would this?

Yo it wasnt that long ago, remember 2016 when Trump was one big meme and nobody thought he would actually win? All those people that didnt vote because they were sure he was never going to be elected. They didnt have a reason to be angry then, but now they do.

People are going to vote.

How do Democrats resist the urge to not slap the shit out of the other isle. When was the last real fight in Congress, the caning before the Civil War? Smh someone's gotta throw hands
You're kidding, right?
At best it's a job to them, at worst it's a game; nothing more. None of this matters to them the way it does to regular citizens. The majority of decisions they make will have little to no impact on them while instead effecting the rest of the country in massive ways.

Walk in, and whine about a group of people for no reason and you might get them to react.

I have a hard time believing that shocks you.
Other people were whining about bernie and how he should run again. Like that's the fucking answer. It's not anyone else's fault that others have common sense that him running again is dumb.

Yikes. Bernie people are angry.
I don't particularly like him but stirring this shit is at least counterproductive if not voluntarily divisive.
The truth is that Bernie or busters were an epiphenomenom that was blown out of proportion. I genuinely question the motives of anyone that needs to propagate this shit. Go after Trump voters (of all stripes), go after people who chose not to vote, but don't regurgitate dumb platitudes because they make you feel particularly insightful.

The dems and republicans work for the same economic interests they are less emotionally involved than the common man.

He'll:

1) get impeached

2) get threatened with impeachment and chooses to resign and not put up with or validate the deep state and democratic and media forces conspired against his presidency from day one

or

3) last the full 4 years without either of the above but choose to step down because...let's face it, he never really wanted to be president, doesn't really like it, it's already affecting his brand as much as it will, and will be too worried about losing in 2020 and deemed a failure to bother.

He will step down and make it seem he is doing it on his own terms and he can frame it as leaving as a winner.

He won't get the nomination

They'll replace him at the convention

Mathematically impossible for him to win over Hillary

The electoral college will save us and vote against him

Republicans will impeach him in the first month

You're severely overestimating those people. They won't vote. They'll stay at home and bitch on social media - because that's how they'll show their anger, by being vocal and hoping other people will do their job for them, which is to vote.

That shit was largely propaganda. Likely from Russia. Who voted for Bernie that didn't vote for Hillary? Show of hands.

Fuck everyone who voted and/or supported Trump and his ilk. Now we have to deal with 2 goddamn SCOTUS picks from the orange fuck.
Such a disgusting display of this country.

I've had 1,180 posts in this forum, but I've deliberately avoided speaking the name I'm about to speak, because I know it's too controversial. But I also know that dropping this name is something that has to be done before the mid-term elections, and I've just been waiting for the right moment to do it. This seems like that moment, so here it goes:

You Bern-outs really fucked us over in 2016. You need to swallow your pride, learn from your mistakes, and get on board with the democrats from now on.

This is an extremely stupid post.

Everyone upset about "Fuck white people" can go vote for the party who's sworn to protect them if it hurt you that bad, the rest know the score.

I hope the tiny sliver of people in the few states who decided 2016 feel crippling guilt for the rest of their(hopefully short) lives.

Anything else I have to say on the subject will get me banned.

Fuck Kavanaugh and fuck all Republicans. Go vote while you still can.

Except that it also discouraged a huge number of people who did vote to then find out their vote meant absolutely nothing and that the electoral college makes the final say regardless of the popular election. It'll be interesting to see what happens come the next election, but I'd still be cautious about getting overly optimistic about it just yet.

Not stirring anything. People in this thread trying to promote bernie running again will give you 4 more years of trump.

And secondly stop fucking bringing this old shit up as if it has anything to do with the current situation we are in. All it does is derail a real discussion about things that might help.

I know it's not PC to say but my queer ass is still currently looking into arming himself, and I don't see any sane reason any minority still stuck in this hellhole wouldn't pursue that option for themselves. We've always been our best-case. Our hope. We've gotta protect ourselves because clearly we can't trust others to do it for us

Make them PAY in November.

Or don't ever fucking complain or protest again.

No retweets. No angry social media posts or apprehensive discussion. Get the fuck out and VOTE, or just accept that this is what we are now.

Furthermore, our party needs to be unified. Stop fucking crying about Bernie V Hillary. Learn from it and come together. Be as unified as the Republicans or keep fucking losing. The two camps can coexist.

Technically, all the Supreme Court can do is overturn Roe v Wade which allows abortion on a Federal level. Abortion would then only be legal in States which allow it (likely all Blue states and a handful of Red states). For Abortion to be banned it would require a Constitutional Amendment which is incredibly unlikely to happen.
So right now red states allow abortion because Roe v Wade is on the federal level, but they risk losing it after this?

Literally no causative logic to support shitting on people is in this post. Accept that you're just partisan shitposting or delude yourself, but don't act like it's odd shitting on people might provoke a reaction.

We understand tensions are running high, but remember to avoid antagonizing other members, hostile generalizations and calls for violence, and to avoid re-litigating the 2016 primary. Thank you.

Well that was a long drawn out political play with an obvious conclusion soon to be followed by a lot of 5-4 obvious conclusions.
