Call Of Duty 2019 is in works by Infinity Ward as we speak and the developers is looking for people to add to its team. According to the latest job listing by Infinity Ward, it's coming to the next generation of consoles.

Infinity Ward posted a job listing on LinkedIn and its job description is hinting at the possible cross-gen Call of Duty game.

"Come work with the game industry's brightest on an exciting, unannounced next-gen title. The candidate must have a strong interest and passion for First Person Shooter (FPS) games."

IW again on the cross-gen entry like with Ghosts. Hope it doesn't turn out like that one.

I am cautiously optimistic for their entry though, with quite a few Respawn members returning to the nest.

yea I saw that before, It's not confirmed because it can be an unrelated game and not necessarily CoD 2019.
Having said that, there is a big chance that Sony, for example, is skipping Paris Week and PSX because they are planning to announce a new console very early next year.

I am still banking on March 2020 for at least PS5. That would still be in the window to see a Call of Duty 2019 shipped for the new systems.

Should be good. Personally would love Infinite Warfare 2 if just so that they could greatly expand on the world and gameplay mechanics, but I wouldn't object to Modern Warfare 4 assuming they put in some nods to Infinite Warfare (Considering at least as far as Infinite Warfare is considered, Modern Warfare is part of the timeline).

Interesting. I didn't think any next-gen systems would come that soon.

Damn, I miss the 8 year gen we got last go around. Six years sounds fine on paper but feels so short.

That's where my head is at too. March 2019 announce, March 2020 release. PS5 being fully natively BC so technically any game that gets a PS5 patch/mode is "next-gen".

I imagine COD2019 will run like shit on the base PS4, acceptably on the Pro, and fantastic on the PS5.

While the chances are very, very slim,it could be that with BO4's even greater online focus and Blackout need time to grow it's user base,Activision may have given IW 4 years to develop the next title as a cross-gen launch title and that way they can give BO4 longer legs regarding MT's revenue.

I didn't even think about the patch potential to just upscale it for the PS5. Makes a lot of sense instead of forcing people to buy it again.

Be MW4 and I'm fucking in.

After Ghosts and Infinite Warfare... come on Infinity Ward. I know you can make a good COD again. Please.

I don't understand how they came to the conclusion that this is for the 2019 COD title IW is working on.

Could be for a pro like patch for ps4 version on ps5, which doesn't necessarily have to launch in 2019 for this to make sense but yeah, it seems to suggest 2019 since that's IW development time line
