Then one day, when I thought it wasn't a sin left
I ran into my aunt, with the fat ass and the thin chest
I don't really wanna talk about it, or get in depth
But father I'm gon' leave you with this last word called "incest"

Is that really Ma$e? That shit is nice.

Yes, before he went with Puffy, he was Murda Mase and part of the Children Of The Corn collective (with Big L and Camron among others). He had some nice verses later too, but before he had to drop the "Murda" from his name, he was a street spitter with an all-time great flow.

Check out DMX' "N'z Done Started Something" for example, another great Murda Made verse, even though the track was released in '98.

I did not know this, thanks for informing me. I will look it up.

Yo, any people here into Freddie and madlibs Cocaine Pinata?

Always have this album banging along with Madvilliany whenever I'm getting high/drunk. I'm looking for some legendary tier producers, on par with madlib. Anyone got any ideas?

Also recently I've been looking into alot of samples of these albums, and I think I'm in love with Isaac Hayes.
Goddamn.

Really solid album, Freddie's flow kills on half the tracks. My favourite producer other than Madlib would probably be El-P although I'm assuming you've heard of him.

No explanation needed. JAY mixed over PREMO beats. This is fucking fire.

"This mixtape is a love letter to the hip hop we grew up listening to," he continues. "This is for the people who grew up analyzing the b-side of every Gang Starr and Group Home single. This is for the people who listened to Jay's 'A Million And One Questions" a million and one times."

I really liked his more Trap-y Shadow Of A Doubt album too.

Re: legendary producer. Well, obviously Dilla, but I would be surprised if you didn't know him, lol. He has a collabo album with Madlib too, btw (Jaylib).

A small selection of my fave Dilla tracks:

A Tribe Called Quest - Find A Way
Common - The Light
D'Angelo - Me And Those Dreamin' Eyes Of Mine (Jay Dee Remix)
Bilal - Reminisce feat. Mos Def & Common
Black Star - Little Brother (the beat on its own is nice, but if you know the background story about what and how Dilla sampled it, it's crazy.
Janet Jackson - Got 'til It's Gone (yes, Dilla co-produced under the The Ummah collective (Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Dilla) but was never credited for it as happened a few times with his work. He did an official remix on the Single version, named "Jay Dee's Revenge Mix", which was a subtle side blow by him.)
Steve Spacek - Eve feat. J Dilla & Frank-N-Dank (Jay Dee Mix)
Steve Spacek - Dollar
Talib Kweli - Stand To The Side
Busta Rhymes- You Can't Hold The Torch feat. Q-Tip
Common - Come Close feat. Erykah Badu, Pharrell & Q-Tip (Remix)
Common - Love Is (Instrumental)
Common - Dooinit
The Pharcyde - Runnin'
The Pharcyde - Drop
Slum Village - Climax
Slum Village - Fall In Love
Slum Village - Players
De La Soul - Thru Ya City
De La Soul - Friends
De La Soul - Peer Pressure feat. B-Real
De La Soul - Stakes Is High
Erykah Badu - Didn't Cha Know
J Dilla - Think Twice (featuring Dwele on the Horns)

So I know Hopsin wasn't really too popular on GAF. I don't know why there was that kind of "hate" because I've always thought dude was pretty dope. He definitely has plenty of good songs I would say.

That being said, his new album is surprisingly good. The general subject seems to be based on his own life and if the stuff is true that's rather fucked up for the dude. Anyone listened to it yet?

Oh and yes, Happy Ending is still bad, just bad.
