So in puzzle fighter there's a Spencer Mansion Level. I think they decided to just make their own song for the level rather than try to remix something. Since it just kinda sounds like a generic spoopy song
Maybe someone has a better ear for this. Best quality I could find. No one seems to be ripping the tracks.
i would go crazy if Captain Wesker returns =)
Such a stupid release.
I didn't do the knife-only run and invisible enemy mode at the same time, but the The Crimson Head Prototype 1 fight was probably the hardest for me with just the knife. I think I ended up using the alternate controls for that fight.Going for the platinum trophy in REmake. Only thing missing is doing invisible enemy mode and a knife-only run. So I thought I'd just do both in one...
Even cheesing it by playing on Easy, this is a bit tricky. Just got past the Crimson Head protoype.
Yeah, I think I did that for the knife-only run.
Figured I would ask here: I'm new to Resident Evil and have been interested in giving REmake a try. Which version would you consider the best to get? Is there a definitive version between the original GC release and the HD versions? I tend to default to the original release on these kinds of questions as a "play it the way it was originally intended" sort of thing. That said, I haven't seen any significant backlash about the reremasters from the reviews I skimmed.
Hmmm, really interesting, especially considering Kadoi worked on both Classic and Action RE games. Also awesome to know that Kamiya wanted RE2 REmade too. Thx for sharing this, Blackbird .I've been digging up more about REmake 2, hunting details and pieces of information that got lost with time (or people didn't cared to read at the time), and i found out a little bit more about the third director behind the project (Hirabayashi confirmed that were three people working on it: himself, Anpo and someone that was not revealed to us even now, one year later).
There's nothing conclusive, but it gives us a good idea of who's working with them behind the curtains:
Kazunori Kadoi was a designer in the first Resident Evil, but later he joined another team while working as a "stage planner" on Code Veronica. Talking about more recent works, he touched on Outbreak directing two specific cutscenes called "flashback" and "end of the road" that were shown on different scenarios, but he also managed to work as a character design on the same production. Later, on RE5, he became a lead designer and played a similar role on Resi 6. Apparently his last job within the franchise was somehow attached to Revelations 2, which is good to hear because he worked close with Yasuhiro Anpo on that development team, making the team synergy better knowing that almost everyone in higher positions behind REmake 2, worked together before and know each other well.
That's all speculation at this point, but master Kamiya gave us a hint to look upon and that's were it leads to.
I'm a little bit more confident about this project thinking about this. I just got back from playing Code Veronica and i'm really impressed with that game, even without knowing how much of Kadoi's influence it really has. I hope that's the case, without Kamiya helping "directly", it's always reassuring to think that someone like Kazunori is looking upon REmake 2. Maybe most of you knew already about this, but i think it's important to keep people informed about this stuff. It helps to keep the expectations in check and know what to expect in the near future, at least until we have official information from Capcom.

Do you have a CRT to play it on? The original GC version (as well as the Wii port of it) doesn't even have progression scan, and looks extremely rough and blurry on an HDTV, so CRT is really the only way to go there, Imo. As for HD version, it's worth noting that a fair amount of effort was put into it. The character models (and some backgrounds) were completely remade for the REmaster, and while many backgrounds were put through an upscaling filter, I still find that the game on the whole looks dramatically better than on an HDTV than the GC version. The only downside for me is that they changed the lighting and general look of one area for the worse,Figured I would ask here: I'm new to Resident Evil and have been interested in giving REmake a try. Go with the HD version, the backgrounds can look a bit over-sharpened and ugly, but everything else is pretty much an improvement.Figured I would ask here: I'm new to Resident Evil and have been interested in giving REmake a try. All that said I must ask, how does Revelations 2 compares to the first? I'm thinking in getting it in the steam sales. Also, should I but chapter by chapter or everything together in the package?
Rev2 had a lower budget than RE6 or 5, and you can easily notice it (visuals, gameplay, animations), but it still plays and looks good. And as a whole, the game is really, really good. Some even say it's great ;) Since it's lower-budget and episodic, Capcom experimented a little with the formula, and the experiment was much more successful than RE6. The game is once again a mix of horror and action, and in that aspect it's better than Rev1 (better scares, better puzzles, more open environments, much more consistent gameplay).
As to whether to buy chapters separately or the whole package (the Deluxe Edition). The main campaign is the best thing in the game, and the Raid mode itself will give you hours of fun. When buying the Delux Edition you get:
- two bonus scenarios, which are a mixed bag (Moira's is basically a Horde mode scenario, and Natalia's is full of stealth)
- bonus costumes (they are OK)
- Raid stuff:
-- Wesker and HUNK - worth it
-- throwback maps (IIRC there were 1 map from Rev1 and 3 from RE6) - not worth it; the mode is filled with content even in the base version
-- weapons parts, weapons, album storage - not really worth it
So if you only want to play through the campaign and spent some time in Raid mode, buying campaign chapters separately is cheaper. If you want all the game has to offer, the Deluxe Edition bundle will be better than buying things separately.
???
Resident Evil: Mercenaries Vs. was released on April 14, 2011. The game and the enemies are based on Resident Evil 4, but the characters are based on Resident Evil 5.[1] It is the first Resident Evil multiplayer for iOS (17th overall in the series), and supports a two-versus-two online team match mode, "Free for all" mode (via Wi-Fi, Internet, or Bluetooth), or a one-versus-one team mode.[2][3] It also supports a single-player mode.

from Wiki.
I kinda want the apk but I cant find it anywhere. Supposedly it was trash but I still wanna try it now that I got an android.
Oh, I'm sure it was. I would've liked to play it tho, even if only just for the novelty of it, lol. Same for RE4 Mobile, which is sadly no longer available either. :(
i've been trying to practice taking CRT pics of RE and Dino Crisis but it's so dark.
phone snaps of Jill and Regina:
The idea of a place where you did everything possible and became comfortable with it just to see a drastic change when you eventually returns always gets me and it's a really cool concept imo.Koshi Nakanishi has a weird fetish with dark places, especially the ones you need to go back after spending some time doing other stuff. It happened on REV1 with Rachael boss fight (one of the best moments of that game) and know on RE7 with the basement/ship section.
that's the absolute best close up shot of Jill i ever got. took me an hour to get it right =P Regina's face is more detailed but i need to find an ingame location with good lighting and camera angle. i'm going to try to do a close up of psx Rebecca next. i wonder if the N64 Re0 model was the same exact Rebecca as re1.Dino Crisis is more dark than RE. Thus it's the scarier game by default.
i threw Regina in there for OP but the game's lighting is so dark! You realize that Jaw is a huge Dino Crisis fanboy when he uses the classic RE fan type of logic to defend his favorite game.
Only 2 day until REv 1 and 2 on switch as well.
Huge DMC leaks but nothing on RE2make. C'mon, I need info on HD Raccoon City!
Speaking of which, I'm sticking to my prediction that it will outsell RE7 on character and setting recognition (people know Leon, Claire, Ada and Sherry), regardless of gameplay. Plus the DLC potential for Capcom to support it for a year is extremely high. You can have a HUNK campaign and Mercs mode for action-based like Not A Hero.
