Really? Forces' level design ain't exactly good but mainly because it doesn't have much substance. The level design in Heroes and Shadow meanwhile can be incredibly frustrating.
Getting into a 2D section and not being able to make any precise jumps because the levels don't factor in the actual physics is pretty bad to me.

Unless you were doing one of the awful missions in Heroes or Shadow, they're at least more engaging than anything in Forces. Lacking substance is the biggest flaw you can have in a series that is almost designed around replayability.

Please buy me a Switch copy so I don't have to feel the shame of spending my money on it, while still feeling the shame of being enough of a Sonic fan that I'll play it anyway

Colors is definitely one of the bad ones.

It's more responsible for Forces and Lost World than anything.

Someone who agrees! The appeal of Colors legit confused me on every playthrough I went with the cheap moments later on, bouncing ball levels, and annoying level design. That said, so many people in fact do love Colors so I guess it's just one of those things I won't be able to get entirely.

So this makes 5 copies of Forces I have bought so far. How many have y'all bought?

Only one for Forces, and it'll probably stay that way since I platinum'd it last week and don't really feel the need to replay it anytime soon (but I'll probably still come back to it sooner than later).

I do have 3 copies of Sonic Mania, though. 2 on PS4 (my special edition wasn't going to be shipped to me by release day so I bought it on PSN as well) and 1 on Switch.

Honestly, I can't think of any cheap moments in Colors. That game is really easy, even when compared to most other Sonic games. Only Shadow, Black Knight, and Forces stand out as being even easier. I also don't remember any "bouncing ball" levels. Do you mean the levels with the moving springs?

So what I'm getting is that Forces isn't egregiously bad like Shadow, but merely extremely mediocre?

I bought zero, I played a friends, the whole way through and gave it back to him.

So none right now, Untill I decide to get the pc version which I plan to eventually. Unless you gotta extra PC code lying around

Things some people want.

1. Ability to play as Buddy in any Sonic/Shadow stage.
2. Buddy Extractor to import Buddy into Sonic Generations with voice effects intact.
3. Base-suit remover for females for better customization options.
4. Drift for Sonic/Shadow.
5. Dedicated spin dash button.
6. Re-integrate removed dragon buddies.

I was really enjoying Forces, much to my shock and surprise mind you, until Stage 15. Now everything is so brief and the level design is sloppy.

I mean, I just beat
Infinite
in 45 seconds. What the hell is up with the pacing here?

Thank you

I'm sad more people didn't post thier buddies on this forum. /sthg/ on the most part loves and accepts Forces for what it actually is though. It's actually inspired some pretty awesome stuff too.

Now this is on my mind: what Sonic communities have y'all been a part of over the years? Besides Sonic Era and its predecessor from another time and place, /sthg/ has been my main Sonic community. I remember it was like in 2010, Blaze did invite me to join Sonic Retro, but I don't even remember if I even registered. I've read it for years on and off, but it doesn't quite click with me like other communities. I do love what they do though. I also like SSMB, and before /vg/ was a thing, I of course was very active in Sonic Story Time on /co/. So much love from artists over the years, we love them all. I love it when folks like ABT drop by and draw us cool art out of love.

You asked for it Beef, you got it, eventually

Beef, I request you use your mod powers to make these the official mascots of Wrasslegaf, I'm sure they will be very appreciative of the grapple based birds since they love to bring up the Sonic franchise so much.

For other horrors to ensure JC can't sleep at night

As fantastically in depth as the Sonic Forces character editor is, I'm afraid it's not THAT in depth.
Now Soul Calibur 5, that had a Kane you could powerbomb fools with.

I think we can all agree that whoever next losses an avatar bet has to wear derp clown rabbit, I made that one just for the occasion.

Since I am actually really good at character customization, whenever I can get a copy on Steam I'll fiddle with it. Not as a mascot, but to share my creative hedgehog mind.

Anyone else wish "Tails Gets Trolled" got published in book form? I mean, I have those horrible /mlp/ books on my shelf, why not this literally classic featuring Miles Prower?
Seriously holy shit i can't believe it is still going!

Honestly that's how I'm feeling with the PS4 version lol
It breaks my heart I can't get a bargain bin used copy on PC. I played a few levels on my friend's Switch but I just have this unshakeable temptation to play through the whole thing, it's like it's haunting me.

Thank you

I was on the SEGA Forums when I was about 12-15 years old until I got banned for being a little teenage shit, then SSMB from 15-19 until I got permabanned for "obviously not liking the site anymore" and only really coming in to post "what are you kids arguing about this time" whenever the kids were freaking out about something Tracker said some shit on Twitter or something. Still kind of on Retro, made an account years ago, but I don't post really.

I guess I don't do well on Sonic communities rip

/sthg/ loves the Archieverse, so a lot of us wanted to go that route with our characters. I am sad that the Archie series is over, but I am happy that Ian Flynn is coming back. I am also thrilled that some of the artists involved in the prior comic will also be involved, and other still will be working on Archie's Cosmo. At least Archie ended with the most perfect scene it could have ended with, with the original freedom fighters all in one shot in that last panel (included Nicole in the Sky Patrol's Server room)...

I hope this isn't the last we've seen of them. It would be nice to see Nicole, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor in 2018...
