This true legendary sauce (Not that meme sauce Rick & Morty made popular.) went into location testing back in November of last year. Before eventually receiving a wide release in July.

Unlike the typical dipping sauces sold at McDonald's, it was so good that it debuted on a sandwich as well.

and it was quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich ever produced at a fast food place.

Unfortunately, it appears McDonald's only cares about making money through memes, because the sauce is now completely gone from my local store, and it's not just a fluke either. If you check McDonald's website now, all mentions of this classic sauce have been completely removed. Dooming it to Fast Food Purgatory.

I think it's pretty clear what needs to happen next, WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE MCDONALDS TO BRING BACK THE SAUCE! FUCK THAT "Szechuan" GARBAGE! THE KING OF DIPPING SAUCES IS MISSING!

Wendy's Sriracha sauce is amazing. They better not get rid of it for that new "S'awsome" sauce, which is bland and tasteless.

That Sriracha sandwich was the only thing I even remotely wanted at McDonalds. Sucks that they got rid of it.

Those fast food pretend sriracha sauces are always so weak lol. Like, the epitome of the expression "white people spicy".

I'm more partial to the honey mustard sauce at McDonald's to be honest. I think I remember that chicken sandwich being trialed here too. Tried it, didn't like it. But I do know what it's like to have a favorite food item. Cuts to the core when they shelve it.

Jeeeez, McDonald's is always getting rid of their good sauces. Hot Mustard (a classic) has been MIA for years, but came back with the Szechuan (only in certain places it seems). My life is an empty void during every four year gap waiting for their Sweet Chile sauce. Sriarcha Mac was awesome too, went good with everything.

And just as fast as it returned, it disappeared again. Hot mustard is gone too.

I just got some Hot Mustard on Friday, is it really gone!?

And what is going on with the "sriracha is just a meme and it sucks, I'm glad its gone" stuff? I don't see how someone can be so upset by the mere existence of a condiment.

If the link in the OP is showing that Sriracha Mac sauce is gone, then Hot Mustard is gone too, because it is also not listed.

Don't worry guys. You can get Creamy Sriracha sauce at your local Wendy's restaurant!

The Sriracha artisan burger was the best thing I have ever had at McDonald's. Good things tend to get removed from their menu quickly since it clearly costs more for them to make than their average slop. On the plus side it makes it really easy to resume never eating at McDonald's.

This "[thing you like] wasn't even good, who even likes [thing], nyah nyah" superiority complex tone people take is so annoying. I don't know why it comes up so fervently with food, of all things.

It's not specific to fast food.
Then what is this authentic white people food that white people call spicy but isn't spicy?

I've never eaten at a white person's home and they've served me something "spicy" that isn't. It's not like the existence of real hot sauces is some foreign concept to whitebread America.

The only time I've ever had that experience is at restaurants, usually corporate ones.

McDonald's, eh? They sell stuff, people get angry. They stop selling stuff, people get angry. Eat your Big Mac and be happy.

As a white person, I find that it's more of a flavor thing than a spice thing when it comes to sauces such as McDonald's Sriracha sauce, or the equivalent at Burger King or Wendy's.

It's not really meant to be "spicy" in the same sense as an ethnic dish that's been infused with hot peppers. It's just meant to have a kick that wouldn't normally be there with a blander sauce.

Anyone expecting to be impressed with a heavily-commercialized fast food sauce is just setting themselves up for disappointment.
