Smash x N64 classic

Microsoft gave away rare replay at E3 if you watched through a streaming thing so I can easily see them letting Nintendo have the games for some money
Banjo in smash for money too

because giving away a game for free is the best indication microsoft will do anything for money

Regardless of Smash, I feel like there's no way they would be able to do a proper N64 Classic without Rare titles on it. You would be missing out on a good chunk of the N64 library.

It's Rare in specific that owns the games/IP. MS wholly owns Rare, yes, so in effect they also own Rare's properties, but no, lack of mention means nothing in this case as the trademarks are all filed directly by Rare itself. This is what you'd expect to see, unless it were a listing specifically for a new release that MS co-filed ownership of.

Not saying I think this page is in any way significant, mind you.

You know a simple search in the UK trademark will show that the trademark rights have been changed over to Microsoft.

https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/4/EU003319977

Microsoft dosent own the game though.

Do you even know what you are talking about?

Quoting my post from the Smash thread:

it's an automated update that the whole site had.

Examples:

https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-64/Star-Wars-Rogue-Squadron-269723.html

https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-64/Paper-Mario-269624.html

https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-64/Harvest-Moon-64-1197058.html

All old pages updated to the same format ^

The whole site updates to the same format for all pages, that's why even old pages are like that now. https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-3DS/SUPER-MARIO-3D-LAND--274908.html

https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-3DS/Pokemon-Omega-Ruby-893014.html

Once again people are posting misinformed stuff without checking things for a minute or two just because of "Smash hype".

There's definitely going to be a direct in the next month. There's no way they won't do one more direct before Smash Ultimate releases.

Yes, but Microsoft has allowed for Rare franchises to appear on Nintendo handhelds before, since they don't compete directly with a Microsoft product. They've had some games on the GBA, as well as Diddy Kong Racing on the DS I believe.
I really don't remember banjo in the Diddy Kong Racing for DS. I say that because if I remember right Microsoft release a Banjo Kazzoie 64 (edited without the n64 presentation) from that Rare collection. Curious to see what gonna be this time.

Ok, can mods close this thread when it's clearly misinformation.

More old page updated to new format as the other ones I liked:
https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-GameCube/Eternal-Darkness-Sanity-s-Requiem-267961.html
https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-GameCube/Geist-268093.html
https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-GameCube/Doshin-the-Giant-267939.html

Are Eternal Darkness, Geist and Doshin the Giant getting re-released then?
Obviously not.

This page means nothing. This is once again proof of Nintendo fans not bothering to check facts before sharing misinformation.
Nothing to do with 64 Mini or Smash, these pages were already there.

It's probably for the 64 mini
No, it's not. Please check my posts.

I mean... They should be. If only for Yellow Giant to get remixed.

Not every game got this update to my knowledge, though. It's weird in general, & the fact Banjo got an update while Nintendo-owned IP's didn't makes it weirder.

I don't think he was in it, but my point is that MS is fine with Rare games on Nintendo handhelds. It's just a matter of if they see the Switch as a handheld console or a home console, I think. I'm sure they can work out a deal though. Microsoft is giving away Rare Replay for free through Mixer during events like E3, and that's a better version of the game than the N64 game. They probably earn next to nothing on Banjo sales nowadays.
