I mean, it'd be awesome if we had that many newcomers left (I'd get my Rhythm Heaven rep if this pans out), but we're too close to the end for that to be realistic. Not even the August Direct had that many unique newcomers.
This would also mean that all of the Hard Locks finally made it in, as expected. None got cut.

Banjo Kazooie might be the best possible third-party addition to the series after Sonic and Megaman.
Mach Rider as the retro character is fun. Still think Takamaru 'deserved' it more, but she should have such an unique playstyle I can't complain.
Smash getting some Rhythm Heaven representation is nice. Music should be god like. Hopefully the moveset will incorporate timing the attacks in some way.
Isaac is overall a good addition to the game. Expecting his Playstyle to be a combination of Earthbound and Fire Emblem.
I'm a bit meh on Geno but his inclusion is expected based on fan demans. Hoping Sakurai will put some charm in the character to make him more appealing for those who haven't played Super Mario RPG.

Yes he does. One of my favorite aspects of Golden Sun is you had magic for both combat and field exploration.
Growth was actually one of the few spells you had that could be both. He'd grow vines at certain spots next to cliffs to climb, and in combat he'd cause a bunch of thorny vines to grow under the enemy.

Characters from the Rhythm Tengoku series. Made their debut with the DS release. They were originally planned for Smash 3DS/Wii U, but were cut for unknown reasons. As a popular series people have been hoping they'd be revisited or at least another RT rep was given a chance.
