Like I never really liked Boogie not for any of the reasons listed so far but always because he was well, a bitch in all honestly, Like he had no spine though recent livestreams hes done has kinda changed my mind slightly but nothing I've seen him do has made me think of him as a nazi, plus you know Boogie is the exact kind of person nazis would not be okay with so I kinda doubt hes one lol.
How so?

I don't give a shit about the Musk hate but Keighley has always (since his gametrailers days) given me these vibes of feigned earnestness. He's a phony cloud chaser putting on a show for his business, like that grating attempt at poignancy he made at the Game Awards for Kojima. This shit is right up his alley.

Seriously. Every time I visit ERA lately I just see hate all over my screen, with the word "NAZI" thrown around at everyone that so much as sneezes the wrong way, or disagrees with someone. It's very hard to visit the site for any real gaming discussion or news these days. People need to chill the fuck out and learn that people who offend them or have different viewpoints are not god damn NAZIS... seriously, look up the definitions of these horrible words before vomiting them out all over someone.

It was more passive, but if you want to read into it as anger, be my guest. And hey, if you associate with a Nazi, you may as well be one. Sorry.

Where's the resetera.gif when you need it.

So...Greg Miller is still one of the Few decent people to win the Trending Gamer award? I guess this year it's between Musk (dummy) and Ninja.

Certain viewpoints are bannable here, and for good reason. It's okay to have an issue with people that push those viewpoints.

I think you're forgetting the VGAs are a business. Geoff wants to make money. I don't say this in a flippant way. But the show needs to be profitable for it to continue.

If he gets a rather well known and internet savvy tech businessman to show up, he would surely get better numbers on that alone. Moreover, if he can get a TESLA sponsorship that would be another huge win for Geoff's business.

I get your question, but it's rather idealistic and removed from business realities.
At a time when we have article after article of how people in this game industry are underpaid and overworked, it's depressing that they'd bring in an anti-union guy like Elon Musk who's known for doing just that to his employees. It'd benefit the awards show and the bottom line and be a fuck you to the people who work in this industry.

Everyone who runs a business has to balance between their ethics and the greater good for their workers, and what would maximize profit. Of course, capitalism encourages the latter, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. It's disappointing where Geoff Keighly falls in that equation, again, especially when we have all these articles about crunch time. The Game Awards would end up as a celebration of worker exploitation to anyone thinking critically about it - not that most people would, looking at the hard-on people have for the rocket ship man in this thread. That's Keighly's prerogative as a guy running a business, no doubt.

I guarantee that getting Musk on the show will drive more viewers. What evidence do you have It will not?

It was more of a joke about how Musk is actually a sociopathic ball of incompetence rather than an anything-savvy Business Man

But yeah the creepy cult of people that go out of their way to shield him from the harsh consequences of his words and actions would probably tune in I guess

I think even besides the cult, which I do agree there is, the general public views Musk very favorably. Americans love captains of industry.

I would fucking love to see Musk at the VGA. Don't like the dude but it would be absolutely fucking hilarious to see the response on here. Would probably crash the site.

This doesn't seem to be a serious invitation, and casual tweets generally aren't threadworthy. If something real comes out of this a thread would be warranted at that time.
