So there's a glitch where Boba Fett's jetpack doesn't work. You just jump in the air or is it not a glitch?

I've had that. Players can actually shoot the jetpack to disable it very briefly, but what you describe is different. It usually happens to me after another hero uses an ability on me, then I can't use any of my abilities. Most commonly when Vader tries to choke you.

Yea i thought so as much. Thought it was disabled but no sparks, and I spent like couple mins overwatching the planted bombs and still didn't work.

Got home excited to play and the lag has just been brutal.

I spawned as Boba on Endor and a speeder slowly bumped into me and it was an insta-kill from full health. Is that a thing? I guess that's a thing.

It was also the first time I've seen Endor on galactic assault and I've been playing for a week.

Well according to reddit there's a set rotation for all of the maps in each mode. Couple that with the way the game either bounces you out between matches or seemingly switches you from playing with one group to another it makes a lot of sense why some people say they almost never see certain maps.

I'm looking to buy this tomorrow. Despite the issues that have plagued it, is it still a ton of fun?

There are a ton of issues with the game.

That being said, I don't regret my purchase at all. Enjoyed the campaign, multiplayer has been a ton of fun despite the issues. I've been looking forward to getting home and playing every day.

Go for it.

Ah that makes sense. Sucks that I seem to consistently play Hoth/Kashyyk/Takodana/Jakku mostly. Pretty sure I've only seen Kamino once too.

I really really REALLY suck at Officer, I want to love the class but every match i end up with only 2-3 actual kills. :(

For individual performance, you'll want to get the Blurgg ASAP. I haven't tried the S5 (2nd unlock) but for individual kill and/or assist performance, the Blurgg is really really good.

Do not rely on your turret for kills. Its pretty much just a zoning tool to deter attackers from open space on your flanks or to provide distraction for the rest of the team. Personally, I hate the shield bubble since it blocks fire from your own team as well as your enemies (the number of times I've opened up with supercharged sentry only to have a friendly officer drop a shield...). That said, its a good alternative for attackers capping points.

Flash Grenade does damage and can be detonated early. If enemies on low health retreat behind cover, lob the grenade over the top and detonate it over their head to spray mini grenades over the area. It'll either finish them off or leave them open to you or your teammates.

Lead from the rear when you can - Battle Command buffs allies in a cone in front of you. Use it for when you need to push a choke point, or if your allies are going down to give them time to retreat. It can make a big difference at the right time and its also a nice 'ohshit' button for yourself.

Cards-wise - I roll with Improved Battle Command (more HP is good), Officer's Presence (reduced health regen delay for nearby allies), and Bounty Hounter (more battle points for me plus its my next best tier card).

Officer is also surprisingly good against heroes 1v1 thanks to flash grenade. With some sprinting and rolling, you can even kite saber heroes around successfully until they give up or do something stupid. Particularly if you can drop a turret, run past it then nail them with a flash grenade.

Until 3 days ago I hadn't played a single match with Officer but its now a tough choice as to whether I prefer it to my main class, the Heavy.

Yeah. My favorite shooter of recent memory. No hyperbole.

Serious issues. But it's one of the more addicting multiplayer's this year.

Thanks! I have been really looking forward to it, so warts and all, I'll definitely be hopping in. I can always use more Star Wars in my life, haha.

I don't think I'll find anything quite nearly as satisfying as the Wookiee slam I just performed on 5 opposing players to end overtime in GA.

Nothing can top that ever

I got a blue Brawler (assault) card out of a hero crate the other day. So if you're asking if it's possible, apparently yes. But that's the only one I've gotten. Only a handful of green ones too. Mostly bottom tier gray cards across the board.
Alright. I just didn't want to keep getting gray trooper cards.
I actually like the tactic of buying hero crates anyway because if I'm going to be a hero, they may as well be decked out.

Plenty? Like what, for example?

Mario odyssey, ac origins, shadow of War, etrian odyssey 5, destiny 2 is a good romp for a good while until caught up but hopefully the DLC gets it going again, battle chasers is fucking incredible, axiom verge on switch now, wolfenstein 2, prey for anyone who hasn't played it, Battlefield 1 still doing its thing, horizon dlc, ... I could keep going. Plus there's so much stuff released anymore especially for multi platform gaming.

This.

"They're not communicating!"
"They're abandoning the game!"
"They took the money and ran!"
"Game is not sold out at retail!"
"Game is sold out and they stopped production!"
"They're not doing daily patches in a holiday weekend to fix all the issues!"

Just relax already and wait and see.
It's fucking No Man's Sky all over again....

Also The Evil Within 2 was great, Elex seems pretty good if you don't mind janky, Divinity Original Sin 2 is probably my game of the year.

Here, duh.
Holy shit, just had a match of Blast in Mos Eisley, and half the opposing team was invisible. The health indicators still showed, but only if you were in range like normal.

I've had ships bug out in SA, but the pilot and engine lights were still visible. But turning a corner only to see millions of shots flying at me from what looks like the wall is dumb.

Hell yea on Divinity OS2, I started it but just need to get the time going, loved the original so much. Elex is definitely a rainy day game for sure, and have heard alot of positive comments about it. There's a ton to play out there.

It's really good in good hands and if you manage to land headshots consistently, but I keep coming back to the A280, it feels so much better with the 3-shots burst, and I can rack up far more eliminations on average

My loadout is A280 with dual zoom for medium-long range and then Vanguard for close-quarter combat, the CR-2 is good but I feel most maps promote medium-range combat far more than close one
Exactly my thoughts.

Maybe Galactic Assault would be more balanced if the attackers got X amount of time instead of X amount of tickets cause those choke points eat up tickets incredibly fast. Instead of getting extra tickets when objectives are completed, they can get extra time. Same for when MTTs and ATATs move into position. Attackers would lose some extra time if those transports take too much damage.

Or maybe defenders need longer spawn times.
It's mostly the last rounds that are a real problem. attackers should spawn closer to the target and/or defenders farer away. Also attackers should be able to get more than 100 tickets. Yesterday we brought our AT-ATs in with 94% left but, but the tickets are capped at 100. Should have been 124. We actually lost at the last spot despite we totally dominated the rest of the game.

Just watched the IGN review and heard the guy say that the new active reload mechanic is better than the endless firing of the first game.

...lol

I mean yeah the time to overheat was pretty generous in 2015 but lol

Uh anybody else getting booted out of loading screens and then being incapable of playing any game at all?
I have been. Had to close app on PS4, then go back into the game.

Or go into Arcade and play a round, then go back into multiplayer for it to work.

These worked for me, but it's annoying. Once I get in playing in multiplayer though, I've been able to stay on without many issues for the most part.

I like it. But as others have said, there are serious issues with it right now. Your fun may depend on your patience and how easily frustrated you become with a game with free to play model deep in its DNA.

I've almost dropped the game a couple of times, but the gameplay itself is fun.

Selfishly, it would be great to have more players join in. But it might be a good idea to wait and hear exactly how the devs will fix the issues first.

Currently they just removed the ability to purchase crystals with real money, but left everything else intact. The slow, long grind for credits, card leveling, crafting parts, character leveling, weapon / weapon mod grinding...

If you can't wait to play, anyway for you to rent it first?

I love the Officer class so much. Super fun sniping snipers with a pistol - I currently only have the second pistol and a single upgrade unlocked which changed it from a "this gun is terrible" to:

giphy.gif

3 hit kills on pretty much everything other than a shielded Heavy, Wookiees and Heroes..

Star Fighter Assault is sublime but could do with some buffs to Imperial and Droid ships - First Order Interceptors are pretty beastly with the turrets so that feels fine.

I wish the GA maps weren't so "pick up this thing and shoot that thing" and a little more unique on a per-map basis but it's fun regardless.

I really hope that in the future we can get more Scarif/Death Star styled game modes that munge everything together into a nice, if disjointed, whole.

I genuinely think sometimes it's better to spend point on Wookie Warrior rather than saving up for a hero. They are absolute beasts (in more ways then one).

It's a really fun game. The progression doesn't feel too slow at all, but I think the game needs more customization and better things to progress to. I also wish the game were a bit more competitive. The way it is now, it doesn't really matter who wins. I can't think of a single reason why it matters. Often I'm disappointed if we dominate too hard because the game is over too quickly, before I feel done with it. Games being over too soon feels pretty common.

Yeah, I've noticed that wookiee warrior seems to be one of the best units in the game.

I only get heroes when I had a really good run and end up with 6000+ points. Sometimes I even take two or three Enforcers over one hero. Wookie Warrior and Death Trooper are fantastic and a blast to play. Super Battle Droid also is very strong. Only the Flamer is really bad. Like almost useless.
