Yeah, I don't see why they don't have Clan Chat or General Chat in game. Seems like an odd omission.

I know hand cannons aren't really the "it" thing at the moment, but I'm having so much fun messing around with them.
So, what are some of your favorites so far? Mine are Better Devils and Old Fashioned.

I don't have the ward cliff coil but I do trust my buddies. Is it a must?
I was asking more regarding Stat wise, since the official power range was 260-280.
- Use Eververse tokens for bonus EXP
- Grind Heroic Public Events for optimal leveling
- Anytime you get gear that is higher power, keep/ equip it
- Beat the campaign as quickly as possible. Don't waste time with Adventures unless you really want upgrade points
- Once you get 100% on a subclass relic/ talisman, do the quest(s) immediately
- Do not do any milestones or Exotic quests until you reach 265 power or higher
- The moment you reach level 20, immediately equip your most powerful weapons from your previous character.
I was originally able to get 283 on my Warlock, 292 on my Titan and 300 on my Hunter, within the very first week, after doing absolutely everything on each of them. By the time the raid launched, I was 302 on each.
Better devils is easily one of the best pve kinetic weapons out there.
Some faction logos for Destiny Era if anyone fancies them. Let the best faction win.

I wouldn't use Coil tbh. Curtain Call if you have it and then the Sins of the Past if it drops in the raid while progessing. Explosive round Scouts are nice. Coldheart if you have it for the ending otherwise an SMG/autorifle/handcannon.

You can suffer in certain areas without a proper heavy weapon, but you can do it with Curtain Call for example. I beat the raid at 270 so is certainly possible but I had a lot of experience from D1 and a very good raid team. It depends, but light is not that important in this raid.
Coil is an interesting weapon in the raid: in pools and gauntlet you can kill the yellow bar enemies with only 1 cliff rocket and do the "glitch" on Calus. Glitch is switching to Coil when you have no power ammo left, pick a box and switch after to the original weapon, you will have full power ammo again. Is usually used paired with Curtain Call or raid rocket.

If OP wants, I can do a small PVE weapons guide recommended for end game activities like Nightfall and Leviathan.
Yea looks washed out for me too but that's how every game is in HDR for me, I think were just not ready for it on pc in terms of implementation and as a standard. Game feels food though so far, gotta wait for my buddies to get the game in a week or two before I can really tear into it. Can I get an invite to the discord please jryeje29#4106.
Yes, the vehicles are tied to random events. Their arrival will be messaged on the bottom left of the screen.
*Edit: I forgot. In public areas some players on mission will also be able to spawn certain vehicles at pads or unlock doors that have vehicles behind them. This happens most on, Io.

Good tips, thanks. I hope to be geared up before the raid release on PC but Stranger Things is stealing my attention.
Lemme guess, right side player in dark zone getting pulled early or dying for no apparent reason, despite killing all projections and correct Psions...
Shit is stupid as hell. Good runs get absolutely fucked by that.
Finished the download and played through the beginning. Just at the farm now. Runs like a dream. Looks pretty good too.

Yeah, plus people going through barriers or the barrier not even appearing even though you hit the right psion.
Though it's not a glitch, the one that annoyed me the most was dying due to the damage taken from hitting a barrier. I was pissed.
I normally can't stand Hand Cannons, but Midnight Coup (the raid HC) is incredible. Outlaw (precision kills reduce reload time) and Rampage (precision kills increase damage, stacks X3) work incredibly well together, and the gunplay with it is as smooth as butter.
Also, starting to worry that the PC exodus is going to make finding groups on PS4 a lot more difficult (without going to LFG anyway). Hopefully the population will rebound with DLC.
Happened to me last time I did it on normal. Slipped through the last barrier on the right side for no damn reason 3 separate times. Shit needs to get fixed.

There is a raised brick before the last barrier on the right side that is just barely elevated & can screw you up. I put a map of the Shadow Realm in the OP that should point it out.
finally have a level 20 titan for the first time ever lol dat titan smash i called it the "win button" in d1 pvp

I love the True Propecy, especially with a gunslinger where head shots speed up reload.

I enjoyed doing adventures as a way to soak up more lore when playing coop with my friends, but I was a little let down by their usefulnesss (or lack thereof) myself. They have said that they want to make Adventures and Lost Sectors more useful for higher level players, but no mention of when that will actually happen.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what your impressions are of the raid. Having done it a few times myself, I find it to be fairly straightforward now.
Ever since the very first day, I've had a hunch that the dark zone glitch may have to do with jumping early and hitting the barrier. Some players like to preemptively hop over the barrier once call outs are done and all Psions are dead. I might be crazy, but part of me believes the barrier has a timer, that is activated once a player makes contact. Once that timer expires, the barrier disappears, even if everything is done correctly and whether the next barrier is active or not. I've noticed when players don't jump and just wait, they don't get dragged down early at all, if not, very rarely.

I finally got to play, PC. I'm glad I upgraded my system, at 1440p with the highest settings the game looks amazing and runs a rock solid 75 (or was it 70? I forget). Everything is so vivid and colorful. The changes to travel are welcome. I'm really enjoying it.

Yes, you're good to go. Try running some more heroic public events and complete the exotic weapon quests if you haven't already.

When you reach level 20, transfer the highest PL guns from your main to your alt.

Old Fashion has been my go-to kinetic weapon since I hit 20. It was my first legendary weapon from an engram and, while I initially only liked it for its visual aesthetics and reload animation, the gun itself is fantastic in most encounters and pvp scenarios. Better Devils is fun, and honestly probably more useful in general pve situations, but the damage boost on Old Fashion still makes it viable.
PC player here. Started the night around 220, went hard into public quests/strikes with two friends to hit 240 and we ended up clearing the Nightfall on our second attempt (with 5 seconds remaining). We're all in the same clan and both of them got clan rewards, and the clan screen says I'm eligible. But Hawthorne doesn't have anything for me.
For a couple hours at the start of the week I was in a different guild that I'd joined pre-release, but it was pretty dead so I left. Is that locking me out of the reward?
At any rate, Nightfall reward was Skyburner's Oath, I know little about exotics in this game but this seems like it was tailor-made for the raid.

No random matchmaking for nightfall is still a bummer. Still can't understand the logic behind that. Oh well, still having a blast, but i have to admit that i kind of miss the random item stats. Makes weapon grinding a tad less exciting.
Welp, I caved. A few IRL friends picked up the PC version of D2 - and despite having already been burnt out on the PS4 version, the idea of playing Destiny 2 with actual people I know was too tempting. That being said - my god does this game feel like almost an entirely different beast on PC. PvE is almost a joke with KB/M controls -- although the few PvP rounds I played for Shaxx's questline was painful. Apparently I leaned much harder on the aim assist there. Hopefully running people I know through this game can keep it interesting till Bungie patches up the end game...
Sup guys. Hope everyone is enjoying the PC release. I think aside from obvious stuff like 60fps the PC may end up being the better experience as players won't have to wait as long from launch for new content.
So once I'm power level 200+ I just want to keep getting rares and save all my exotic and legendary engrams for when I reach 260+, right? I'm hearing the rare cap is 260 and past that you need exotics and legendaries to push you any higher, is this correct?
Getting Better Devils made the whole game better for me. I loved hand cannons in D1 and BD reminded me why. In PvE, I often rock that and Annual Skate and have a blast. It feels good in PvP too but I'm not really great so usually get wrecked before I get close enough to use it. The kills I've gotten though felt pretty nice haha.
Get through the entire campaign first, obviously. Then you're just going to need to focus on public events and the exotic weapon quests to grind up that level. Along the way, you should hit your clan XP contribution and your Flashpoint which will give you a high powered engram also - and also any other clan rewards will help you out. Remember to open up your Cayde chests every week on your alt instead of your main as there is a chance a legendary or exotic engram will drop from them.
Says a lot about the state of affairs that my Xbox raid squad (who have raided every single week religiously since TTK) are more hyped about buying Jade Rabbit from Xur this weekend and then running a Jade Rabbit-only raid on D1 than we are about running Prestige Leviathan again at reset.
