I have a feeling that won't stop them from making him DLC. Remember Trophies in Smash For stopped no one from being DLC. Mewtwo and Lucas both had trophies in that game.
Piranha Plant was legit a cute surprise. Ken and Incineroar are such a boring reveal to end on.
Is Incineroar popular? It feels like it gets an equal amount of hate and love. You can usually tell which Pokemon TPC push to be the nest Lucario but it never quite works. No Issac is super disappointing, but i got my boy Shulk last game so i should always be happy about that if nothing else. The roster is still huge and has plenty of great characters!

I usually like dumb ironic choices in things but putting in a literal piranha plant did nothing for me

Ken is an alright addition, NOBODY asked for Incineroar and Piranha Plant would be a fun addition to the cast if they had actually added other characters people were actually asking for.
Spirits mode seems alright, especially with everything they showed at the end, but it definitely won't be the singleplayer content people wanted.
Their DLC policy is also just baffling. I kinda can't even believe they don't have any sort of release schedule for them. The way they do online also just seems really weird and not particularly well though out.
Wii Fit Trainer was a way better "joke surprise" inclusion last game than Piranha Plant.

I'm honestly really happy with these picks, especially Incineroar. The only thing that made it slightly disappointing was the fact that the hype ass leak was fake.

Incineroar is actually pretty popular. Off the top of my head the only gen 7 Pokemon more popular than it are Mimikyu and Rowlet.
If anything whatever's next for Xenoblade stands the best chance.

Well I think he's just going to have to say screw "inconsistancies" when looking at DLC. He has no choice but to either do that or make all DLC third party. Something as to guve somewhere.
I mean who else is left first party wise that people would be willing to buy?
