Hey i bought the Tamagotchi DS game too for some reason and that was much later in life.

I saw a second image of the sell sheet so I'm quite confident in it.

Wow, was thinking about Pocket Pikachu just a few months ago! This collaboration is really interesting considering the circumstances behind both the Digimon series and Nintendo's Pocket line.

I wonder if the game's currency will be named 'Watt' once again, like it was in both Pikachu v-pets and PokéWalker.

Saw this yesterday, really crossing my fingers and hope this is real.

Tamagotchi got pretty far in Japan at least. There's been Tama's with coloured screens and a ton more little features and tamagotchi to take care of. The newest Tamagotchi Meets is scheduled to be out November 23rd if I'm not mistaken.
This Eevee one is based on the Tamagotchi Nano, which is a smaller and simpler version compared to the fancier and modern ones. Unless they up the price for it being Pokemon, it shouldn't be very expensive (Modern coloured ones go for about ¥6500.)

EDIT: Now that I think of it, in 2017, they also had a Gudetama themed Tamagotchi Nano and a Disneyworld exclusive easter Nano. The Gudetama one (there were different shell designs) was priced around ¥2300~¥3500.

Tamagotchi P's is my favourite, so much features!! I was running it only some weeks ago but I feel like starting it again after seeing this image.

So much customisation and modding you can do. It's a good thing I got a couple of years ago before the price of it went up.

I haven't booted it up for a year now. Uni life has taken over unfortunately :/

I was lucky to get a 2nd hand that was in decent enough condition. Pierces are so expensive though, so the VDP's are a godsend.
I have an Entama and the newer 4U but that latter one really bored me after only a few times of playing.. It did work really well with my busy schedule because I'd just dump it at the babysitter lmao.
The M!x and Meets seem fun but P's has so much features I'm still not bored of it and looking for a newer version.

It's a pretty big deal in Japan still, and it has a decently sized (for a niece interest) fanbase outside of the country too.
I believe in the west, the original ones were re-released recently, but the fancy new ones have all been exclusive to Japan.

Well that settles the debate of which Pokemon is most like a Digimon.

This would be full circle for me. The reason I was interested in Pokemon was because I was really in to Tamagotchis. I had a Digimon before the show even aired in the US. That why I wanted to watch it. Please come to the West.

Oh boy. There goes my last remaining vestiges of interest in the Let's Go combo wombo edition. This is a hundred million times better. Fuck that stupid ball controller, give me this. THIS. I'm not even sure I want the game as well, now. Just gimme Evee for my pocket. But please with mute&suspend features because I'm one of them pesky adults now.

This also really makes me miss the Pocketstation and VMU days. Bloody shame that that concept never took off. Imagine how it could have evolved by now... OLED touch screen, step counter, beefy battery, bluetooth connectivity, Gigabytes of space for savegames and minigames/apps. Basically a cheapo smartwatch, minus the watch bit. Or better even, WITH smart watch features. Would buy.

I had around 10 tamagotchi in total when I was young, official bandai Digimon ones, animal ones, Dinosaurs, the OG Tamagochi and cheap knock-offs that didn't make it out of the store. I was obessed with them.

The fact that Digimon World was basically a tamagochi game on a console was amazing, still one of my favorite games to date.

The fact that Eevee evolves into many different forms depending on how you raise it... it was in front of us this whole time!

We are Digimon now!!! Jokes aside I presume a Pikachu version should be available too? Memories of me using the Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS comes to mind.

Oh man I gotta tell my mom. She was pretty disinterested in video games when I was a kid, but she had a weird love of Pokémon. This was especially true of the Pocket Pikachu, which she got for me, but really for herself.

There seems to be a revival in Europe; last year's anniversary editions were absolutely impossible to find, though (at least in Italy, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave 90% of the stock to youtubers for promotion :S)
