So I got this in today and it does come with a wall charger, but separately packaged. Here's what I received:

I'll have to compare it to the one I got from Amazon when I get home. The wall adapter that came with the Amazon one was white.

Edit: Going by photos online I'm thinking that the wall charger at least may be a knockoff.
After comparing this to the one I got from Amazon, I'm fairly certain that it's a knockoff. So back it goes.

This is a bit off-topic, but I've had this annoying problem that I'm wondering if it's part of an ongoing troll or some other shit.

I've been trying to sell my old iPhone 5 on eBay. I have had two occasions where a seller will buy it at my Buy It Now price, but then immediately post a question like "Will this work on Sprint" or "What's the phone's IMEI?" and other stuff that they should have asked about BEFORE making the purchase. Shortly after, they request a cancellation.

So on my third attempt in putting the phone up, a seller offers me three lowball bids, but then makes a purchase, and PAYS for it this time, but still sends me a random message like "Is this IMEI free?" or some other stupid shit.

So now I'm afraid to ship this out if the asshole is going to make a return request or anything. It'll be on them if they do, but why is this happening and how to I fucking block these pieces of shit (I try to restrict people with a specific seller rating, but the ones that are doing this have average or better ratings, which makes things even more infuriating).

Try selling it on GAF or Swappa.

eBay is a craphole these days. Just avoid it and sell stuff locally, cash in hand, or give it to a relative or friend.
Got Airpods in my ears.

They work fantastic but I look like such a douche.
Skins. I think MKBHD did a video about them. Black ones make them look fairly normal or at least inconspicuous.

Series 2 is pretty slow and that's coming from sb who recently upgraded from a Series 0 lol. Grab a Series 3, especially since you don't plan to go Stainless Steel or ceramic anyway.

Not the answer I was hoping for. FWIW, I asked the same question on Reddit. The existing conversation seems to imply that it depends. Some think S2 is fine, others to go for the S3. S3 LTE gains more memory, so that's a consideration too.

S3 non-LTE is exactly the same as S2 except cheaper (at retail) and noticeably faster

Edit: and yes, the S3 LTE has 16gb of storage instead of 8gb, and it's not as rigidly segregated. And you don't HAVE to activate it if you don't want to pay the monthly cost

I still have a Series 0 Watch and while yeah, it's definitely sluggish, but when I check my notifications/time/weather (which is 90% of my use case for the Watch) it's perfectly fine. Yeah, pulling up app cards is slow, but is my life a wreck because I have to wait an extra couple seconds for the heart rate monitor to show up? No, it's fine for now. So if price is a concern, don't feel you have to have the S3 unless you plan to use a lot of app features.

I have a series 2, it's not terribly slow, but if you're buying an apple watch now and plan on keeping it for more than an year than go with the series 3 for sure

Agreed. I shouldn't complain given the circumstances but I'm especially stunned the base interactions still have lag spikes/stutter on Series 2 (like switching watch face or quitting an app to watch face). From what I've heard and seen, the extra power of Series 3 definitely helps.

Get the cheapest Apple Watch and wait it out. Series 1 is fast enough and cheap. Best bang for the buck. Apple knows these watches aren't yet where they want them to be. You can tell because they're increasing the physical size of the watches every generation. When Apple starts slimming them down, you know you're good to buy with the future in mind. But now? Just buy something affordable and ignore any ideas of future proofing.

From what I've heard, the Series 3 has finally hit that crucial 'fast enough not to notice when it isn't fast' point (such that you never feel like you're waiting for it to catch up with you). I'm holding out for the Series 4, but it sounds like performance is finally getting to the right place.

My brain now gets disgusted when an app updates to say Face ID in the UI but they don't change the screen ratio to actually fit the device they updated for...

I think I'll upgrade to this from a OnePlus 5, although it's difficult to call it an upgrade in some areas.

No always on display, no fast charging out of the box, less screen area, might not work as well with my Android Wear watch, may be slightly slower.

On the other hand, the design which I love, wireless charging, iOS, iMessages, better connection to my MacBook, 4K 60 fps video, better portrait mode, cameras with OIS, Dolby Vision.

Any suggestion on a slim but effective case? So many of them ruin the look. Not going to go with the Apple Care+.

So I ordered the X from AT&T on the 24th and it's not even being shipped until December 22nd. What's up with that you can buy it right now from Apple and get it delivered in 1-2 weeks.

Was there a follow up tweet of "BUT I CAN COVER IT UP WITH A GREAT DBRAND SKIN." ?
Honestly, that is what I would do. Dbrand skin or any other film for the back + put it in a case, and power through like that until repairing cost is more reasonable, 1st or 3rd party.

Pretty sure 3rd parties will step up, as the sheer volume of demand for that repair grows with time and iPhone X userbase. Main issue it seems to me, is the camera module integration with the back glass.

Disagree. Series 3 seems to be the first one that doesn't come with lag as a feature. It's what the first watch should have been.

I wasn't actually serious, I was just joking about his shilling for DBrand.

He was actually responding to others who suggested the same thing. If the glass was just cracked, it would work. He noted depressions in the glass and chunks missing near the camera. Skin might be viable in a less extreme scenario.

Thankfully AppleCare+ is included with IUP. One incident, then save the other for the upgrade.

I ordered mine from AT&T last Wednesday and it arrived Monday. When I submitted the order it said 1-2 weeks. 64gb model

I'm liking it, thought it'd be weird without touch ID but face ID has worked perfectly and seems more convenient for me as I'm often wearing nitrile gloves at work

Isn't this hard coded in iOS 11? Like when it normally asks for TouchID then FaceID comes up instead if you have an X? I have apps that have not updated at all but use Touch ID - Face ID comes up instead.

Makes sense, it would be silly to still ask for Touch ID on an X.

He means updates that specifically mention they have updated for FaceID (it updates the text/icon in the app), but still don't support full res.

I ordered mine from ATT two weeks ago and it should be here tomorrow. They moved my ship date forward so that might happen for you.

Ugh I miss being able to unlock with the back-of-the-phone fingerprint scanner... Face ID is such an inconvenience relatively.
