Can someone remind me of the changes to weapon attachments?
If I'm not mistaken, you still have to choose between 1 of 2 options and progress a tier system...and then you need to re-spec when you want to choose the other option, right?
We cant have duplicate weapons, can we? We have to re-spec the one? Or can we swap out the specs mid-match?
Im still a bit annoyed by this system, and wish they could just let us attach specs as if they were weapon perks directly in the game itself.
This way I can make a load out, slap 2-3 weapon perks, or even 4 depending on the "Class Heroes" that they introduced...but the way it is now, you have a weapon, it has about 4 tiers, and 2 options for each tier, and you mix and match through the tree.
What's the benefit of this system over just picking and choosing from a pool of available perks?
Im glad they have downsides to picking an option over the other, but the whole re-spec option seems like cumbersome UI tinkering that will annoy most people and act as a barrier for newer players.
Presumably not a big deal in the end because I will unlock everything on one weapon, and then can freely pick a style. But what if I want to switch something on the fly? Will these upgrades just end up creating two totally different weapons, which seems to be implied from such a tier system? Im curious of how all this ends up being balanced.
Im guessing this is mostly grinding to keep certain players happy with that carrot on a stick gameplay
