Circular reasoning much?
No punishment isn't enjoyable... That's why it isn't punishment.
If a player gets joy from killing NPCs, and then enjoys what the game does in response to the NPC being killed, then the player hasn't been punished.
If I enjoy violence, and the game throws more violence at me in response to me committing an act of violence, that's a positive feedback loop.
If I desire the effects that come with being dishonorable, if I find them fun, then losing honor for killing the NPC isn't punishment.
