I thought I told you :( and then you vanished I thought you got bored with gaf. I swear I pmed you. I must have not. I blame me being dumb not you
Oh bah!

Neither of us are dumb.

I kind of had real life stuff that started to eat into my GAF time. As we all do sometimes. And hell you might have pmed me. I really checked out for a while, then got back in during the election craziness, and then kind of checked back out again after the Trumpocalypse.

Really digging the season so far, liking Jack a lot more than I thought I would. Dean needs to chill out. Can't wait to see more alt-world stuff.

Did season 11 blow your mind as much as it did mine?
Probably moreso.

I thought the Chuck we saw in Fan Fiction was a feint. So I was certain when he showed back up with Metatron that it was going to be a swerve moment. Even with all of the Darkness stuff going on.

That didn't last long into that ep though lol.

I am glad to be back to discuss Supernatural with everyone. I am Kevin from the other forums. Still have not gotten to watch the new episode but will share my thoughts when I do. :)

Dean needs to chill a bit, but I imagine he'll turn around on Jack after he rezzes Cas.

Can't wait for Wayward Sisters, I like everyone involved so far.

This was a solid episode but has some issues. The pacing was kind of weird, killing off Moseley is kind of insulting at this point. I knew this would happen to because it's like the writers struggle with other ideas that involve NOT killing off beloved characters. Castiel storyline could be interesting, the new girl is ok, guess we'll see what happens if The Wayward Sisters series gets green lit.

They are REALLY pushing the Dean drama this season and I REALLY hope that ends very soon. The CW is notorious for over the top drama and it completely ruined Flash for me last year and a couple seasons of Arrow. I hope the Dean stuff gets resolved soon. I think it will based on what I know about upcoming episodes. Still regardless I enjoyed the episode for what it was. I do hope next week's episode is better though.

I liked this ep actually. It was a monster of the week but with some main story stuff mixed alongside it too. However, that ending was quite the cliffhanger way to end it, damn.

I'm one episode behind, but so far so good. Ended up missing the final two episodes of last season, though, so I caught up thanks to a channel that aired the final three before the season finale. (I didn't know that it was a two part finale, and didn't save it accordingly.)

I've gotta' admit, it's kind of nice without Crowley and Cas (who was great until overused.)

Sooooo, overall I liked this episode, but they brought back Missouri just to kill her off? I got flashbacks to how they did Charlie in. :/

The discussion Dean and Sam have at the end of last episode was great.

Really curious to know where exactly Cass is. Nothingness?

Just read some spoilers and
It's the empty Billy mentioned before.

Exciting!

So, this guy, James, was also the cop on Arrow, right?

It feels like he's been on Supernatural before, though.

My guess is that it's the Empty that Billie talked about. She told the boys that there would be cosmic consequences to breaking the deal with her, which Castiel did by killing her. Seems the consequences have caught up to him.

Enjoyed last season, but not feeling this season. : \

The writers are shockingly oblivious of the critique on how they kill all recurring characters, especially women. Jodie is basically the only old character still alive.

Also, the main plot with Jack this season is very bleh. His character just isn't interesting so far (although the actor's resemblance to Misha is astounding -- and strange casting, since he's not his father in-universe?).

Mary was one of my most liked portions of last season, and of course Mark Pellegrino's Lucifer, so to have them relegated to this low budget area with nothing to do is also irritating.

Interesting episode. They are really hammering home how much Jack wants Dean's approval. I continue to fall in love with Jack more and more, which means they are going to rip my heart out eventually.

Also, Misha is fucking fantastic again. Playing two characters in one scene. His portrayal of what ever the fuck that thing was in the Empty was incredible. Completely sold it. That thing was more terrifying than most of the monsters we've seen; I have a feeling it will be back.

Pity we didn't find Gabe there.

And Dean is still hurting but stopped being as much of a dick to Jack, so, progress I guess?

Also, excuse me, my inner fangirl must break free.

OMG CAS IS BACK CAS IS BACK OMG OMG HE NEEDS TO FIND DEAN AND CHEER HIM UP RIGHT NOW OMG OMG.

Another great episode.

It blows my mind that we finally know where every single dead demon and angel ended up.

Looks like Crowley is really gone.

Pretty much exactly the same feelings.
I also hope they aren't just buttering Jack up for a twist of the knife.

Pretty solid episode. Glad we're getting Cas back. Really hope it isn't the twisted, "The Empty" Castiel or something like that. Dean has been a huge HUGE asshole this season but it's looking like that may be finally coming to an end so that's good. Loved the scene with the shapeshifter tearing off the skin. That was cool. All around solid episode.

I will be super annoyed if Jack turns up evil or killed by the end of the season. Hopefully they think of something else to do with him then those simple ideas.

See as I was writing my write up and drooling over Mishas acting I had that thought, because that would be a completely dick thing for the writers to do to us, so of fucking course they will.

And now that I think about it, why would Cas who's been aware he was in the Empty for like, 30 minutes, be all stroking grass and smiling at the sun like he's never seen it before?

Of course he also read Cas' mind so he can totally pretend to be him.

DON'T YOU DO IT WRITERS I'M WATCHING YOU.

....

They're gunna do it aren't they.

Edit: I just did the highlight to quote thing on mobile and it's amazing. /off topic

We both know they are going to. I imagine Jack is going to sacrifice himself to do something /save someone/the world. He's too much of a deus ex machina right now for him to be around for long.

And I HATE how much they are making us love him.

I did some Google searching and...
it looks like it may be the real Castiel as there are mentions of him wanting to protect Jack, interacting and being scared around Lucifer, etc. So it definitely sounds like we are getting the real Castiel back. They could do an episode or two where it's not really Castiel but then we eventually get him back but I saw no spoilers indicating that.

Jack only using his powers by rage is gonna backfire so badly by the midseason finale, I can see it now. He gets pissed off at the world for sucking so much, and goes nuclear.
Meanwhile, that empty scene was so creepy, I wonder what its purposes is. Like if Angels or Demons just cease to exist, is it a prison or something to make sure certain beings NEVER come back? In that case, then I also wonder if the thing Cas woke up is the real big bad, something worse then the Leviathans.

Wow, this was a damn good episode. S11 quality, easily.

I can't say I'm too excited for Cas to be back already, though. We were finally getting some Sam-centric episodes, and I'm afraid it'll just go back to being the Dean Show, feat. Cas for another decade.

But yeah, how about that Empty thing, eh? Looks like we get another being at God's level, and it seems like reapers know about him. Hopefully he wakes up Gabe. And I guess Death, if he really is dead.

I think it's something necessary to tie up a loose end. Like, it's been established that everything goes somewhere when it dies--even monsters go to Purgatory. So it makes sense that angels and demons would go somewhere too when they die.

Presumably other things go there, too, like Leviathans that actually die. Dick Roman is probably there.

So then why did it not wake up when others showed up? Unless it also eats everything in there, which is another scary thought.

Well, when others (including Cas) showed up, they were already asleep. It woke up because Cas woke up.

I do wonder if reapers actually drop them off there.

The implication from the conversation Cas had with The Big Empty is that everyone who comes to the Empty sleeps forever. Jack woke up Cas, and Cas woke up Empty.
Right, I knew missed something. Well, if the thing that woke up only did so because someone else did, that can't be good can it? Also, if it perhaps acted as a gatekeeper of sorts, and the Thing actually us what came out and not actually.m Cas, I wonder if Cas will break out by waking up other souls in there...

It seemed to me like it just wanted to go back to sleep, as opposed to causing mischief on Earth. Remember, this thing is a cosmic entity--probably at least at Death's level. Earth really wouldn't mean anything to it.

I MISSED YOU! Welcome back <3.

Also called it! The place Castiel ended up the void that Billie was talking about and where all Angels & Demons end up when they die. I didn't bank on them all being a sleep though...that was a neat surprise. But did they have to bring Cas back already?

edit: Just read the first page lol, I had my suspicions, but when your avatar changed I knew it to be true! But I like seeing your name again :p
