I'm all physical for major releases. The Switch has me importing games even, which is a first for me. For indies, I'm fine with digital. I don't buy too many indies, as such, I don't even have an SD card for my Switch.

Physical, don't lose much money on Nintendo games down the line and Nintendo sucks at keeping online services up after the generation has ended

physical mostly. unlike the other 2 consoles, there's still big benefits in owning games physically on Switch (at least the first party ones)
only ones i buy digital are digital-only games or games i double dip on (Smash Bros because i want the LE and at the same time this game is much more convenient to have digital)

104 games, of which 1 is physical (Octolath Traveler Travelers Compendium) which I'm currently trying to sell on here. I travel a lot with the switch so going digital was a no brainer.

70/30 in favor of digital. Multiplayer games are digital 100% but single player games like Zelda and Xenoblade 2 are physical.

I bought Zelda physical and it will never leave the card slot because everything else is digital.

Right now I have a little more physical games, but I just got a 200gb sd card and will start going more digital starting with Smash.

Physical for Nintendo games because of the resale value. Not having them physically is like paying 20$ extra sometimes. Digital for other stuff though.

I am almost 90% physical. It's usually cheaper and I can trade games in once I or the kids get tired of them. Plus even with 200GB card, digital would quickly kill that storage.

Physical is too cheap for me not to go that route. With resale values and GCU, I don't spend more than $20 in the majority of games. I bought Doom for $48 a year ago. It's still selling for $40+ on eBay.

I'll buy a game digitally if I know I'll keep it and play continually.

I have more digital games, but they are indies, ACA NeoGeo, etc., for games available in retail stores i mostly get the physical version.
It does help that physical is usually way cheaper than digital in Spain.

All digital. Never put a physical cart in my system actually. Never opened that little sleeve to insert a cart.

No reason for physical when I use portability so much.

Totally physical unless it's impossible. (Undertale.)

I got the urge to buy Undertale and didn't realize how hard it would be to find. I called several stores and checked on Best Buy, but no luck. Walked into Best Buy today and there were 10+ copies behind the register. I'm fairly positive there was a second printing or something cause the website said you couldn't even order it if you wanted to.

Literally just popped it in and going to try it now.

True story: I somehow didn't even realize it had a physical release. Someone pointed it out to me upthread... whoops. I really should have done my homework.

Congrats on finding one though!

Would rather have physical everything but

4 digital (Bayonetta 1, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Fast RMX and Sonic Mania all of which are digital only in the US....well until Mania+ was announced literally a week after I bought the game)

All physical

next gen I will go digital

Realizing how annoying it is getting games late and the space it's taking up is annoying

two years ago this is something I thought I would never say

Oh, lol. I thought you just meant hard to find. Now that I look again, I realize I could've ordered off the Fangamer site, but then no GCU. Best Buy still says it doesn't have any near me, which is so strange.

Physical for everything but indie releases.

I don't change carts very often when out and about, and it takes like 20 seconds if I need to. I will never understand that being a reason to go digital.

Digital for Smash, Physical for the rest.

Need to get a new SD Card, have no space left.

Physical so I can sell them when done. That said nothing I really want to buy this holiday season which is a shame. Just waiting on FE and kawamori's mecha game.

A mix:

Big meaty single-player games that I'll play for a long time but then once I'm done likely not go back to for some time until I want a play through: physical. Examples are Octopath, Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, BOTW, Doom.
Multiplayer games or drop in for a few minutes/hours throughout the years kinda games: digital. Examples are Mario Kart, Smash, Civilization VI, Diablo 3, Mario Tennis. I did go digital on Skyrim though, as I do periodically poke in for a few hours when there's a lull in the other games I'm playing.

I started out physical, but now I mostly buy digital. For indies though, I go physical if I can. I love my physical copies of Cave Story and Binding of Isaac.

Always physical, because I place a lot of value on ownership. I've managed changing cartridges and discs for 25 years, it's not an issue for me.

Got Mario Odyssey, BoTW, Doom, Skyrim, Mario Kart on cartridge, everything else is digital. If i could reverse the past, i would swap everything to go full digital, lastedt title, Dark Souls, Diablo 3, i went digital with no regret.

I was digital at first, but now physical so I can sell/lend them after I'm done.

All digital! Drew a line in the digital sand that I would not own any extra boxes for this console. Only own a handful, but it has been liberating not having to manage cards or boxes.

It is a little more expensive, but it has been worth it.

All of my physically available games are physical. Which is super annoying because I live in Japan and many games never get released here.

Physical mostly. I have a few games digital that are also physical but I figured those games are perfect to have on the system at all times. Like, Mario Kart 8 is always valuable to have on the system.
