It isn't moveable until you've unlocked all the perks (I think that's the collect the seals part of the quest). You can do that one by just doing the castellum over and over if you're not able to find a full group. You can check your vault's exotic collection to see if it's there. The weapon won't be available there until you've completed this phase of the quest.

Thanks

Yep, only had it cause I saved and dismantled a ton of ghosts and sparrows

I'm pretty torn on the new weapon loadout. I LOVE it for PvP. Seriously, fuck sniper rifles. I hated how Destiny 1 PvP became a sniperfest. Getting sniped is never fun, in any multiplayer, ever. And Destiny 1 PvP became all about the damn things. Blegh.

I also quite enjoy getting to use two primaries in PvE. There were a few weapon types I ignored most of the time in D1 PvE, since I loved hand cannons and scouts so much. But come to find out I was actually missing out quite a bit on ARs! Getting to use a hand cannon and an AR is really fun imo.

But the new Power slot is definitely overloaded, way too many weapon types for a single choice. Shotguns and snipers barely exist anymore (not that I'm complaining on the PvP side...), but I do miss shotgunning down knights and snipe-staggering bosses in PvE. But when competing with rockets, fusions, and swords, why choose a sniper or shotgun?

Imagine a world where they didn't ditch the old system but instead made special ammo like heavy where it's a box you pick up off the map and only 1 person gets it. It would be balanced and we wouldn't have had to go to the double primary system.

Man, all this negativity is a real boner kill.

I've only been playing a few days (Warlock 12) and the real concerns I have are no Eris, Touch of Malice, and that Attunement of Hunger seems op af. lol

I hope the devs find a way to please the community before I hit cap. I really enjoyed PvE in Destiny / HoW / TKK.

Just rescued
Cayde-6 and Failsafe. I didn't like the VO on Failsafe at first, but by the end of the mission I was a fan. "It's not murder if it's ro----bots!" Can't wait to go get me some Ikora.

A question! If you can
regain the light by revisiting the Shard of the Traveler, why can't the other Guardians do the same?

So far whenever I get an item that's higher Power than what I'm using, I switch to the higher Power item and disassemble the old one. Is that the best thing to be doing? I don't really understand infusions at this point.

Just keep playing as long as you're enjoying it, simple as that really. You can look at this way...you started at a good time as with the expansion and upcoming updates (fixes, QoL stuff, etc) you won't have to deal with a content drought as much.

Even though I agree that Destiny 2 has gone backwards in some ways it will definitely improve and/or correct itself in some ways going forward (while also creating new issues along the way).

It took me a minute as well. You can only make legendary and exotic items higher level. However, you can use blues to infuse into legendary and exotics as well. Say you have a legendary chest piece you like, but get a higher level blue or even legendary/exotic you can use that to get it to the level of the new piece of gear.

And don't dismantle all legendary weapons until you know you don't need it. I made this mistake and dismantled a ton of good weapons without knowing, had to end up trying to get them later.

I dunno, the double primary system is one of the few things I like better about D2 than D1, and it always will be. Been playing equal amounts of D1 and D2 recently, and gunplay in D1 just feels so much worse to me than gunplay in D2 in both crucible and PvE. The only thing to me making D1's gameplay overall more fun and satisfying is the increased uptime of grenades/melee/supers, the gunplay is definitively worse.

That said, snipers and shotguns feel far worse in D2 than they did in D1 and I miss using them. I would personally prefer a system where we had double primary, special and heavy, but it seems to be a controller limitation where games avoid more than 3 weapons at a time. But I would certainly choose the D2 system over D1 if I could only pick one, the benefits of double primary to me far outweigh the loss from not using snipers as much.

You are called by the dream when you fall from Ghaul's ship into the city. Other guardians didn't all get the same call.

Considering Strikes and Crucible both unlock while you are still at the farm, arguably maybe some other guardians did get their light back since crucible especially makes no sense without Light.

Say what you want, I'd be happy if Deej came out tomorrow and said "We reverting the special ammo nerf in PVP on D1, now you spawn with special ammo for special weapons again"

Patch cheese and fix the raid bugs and glitches.
Fix ammo economy.
Scale Prestige trash mobs correctly.
Don't design gameplay around team shooting but force raid group to split up and fight separately.
Make raid loot matter, and worth chasing.

All of this is a given to folks like you and me.

I'm optimistic on this whole charade of "we are listening don't worry please ignore our attempts to fuck you with shit DLC." If they truly had game changing plans they'd have announced it already when the community noticed the lack of core gameplay keeping it interesting to play.

Again, that's not to say the game isn't fun, it is and ice most definitely got my money's worth from the $52 I spent. I just see so much more possibility from this game and the fact it's positioned as a totally not MMO but basically is an MMO it makes me want to be more invested. Just Bungie won't let me do that.

The DLC felt eh, interesting but not revolutionary because the actual core game isn't fun and Osiris is just the core game with some different skins. That's my problem, is that you can't fix the game in a DLC and if they try that it's going to be a rude awakening for Bungie because of the potential to gate via purchase.

But hey, prove me wrong.

Would anyone be interested in doing the raid (or learning the raid) in bite sized steps spread over multiple days? There are 4 parts to the raid and we would agree to set aside 2 hours (at most) to learn and complete 1 part and 1 part only. Each day would be a different part of the raid.

I finally did the raid with some folks and we were all new and it took a long time, time I usually don't have, but for the Thanksgiving holiday DID have. But I don't want to have to wait for holidays to raid. :)

I'm just wondering if there are folks like me who can't usually commit longer, but want to raid, and doing so in bite-sized chunks would sound appealing. Let me know! I'm thinking about most days (except some Fridays) after 10pm EST.

I can't remember how these smallish expansions were handled regarding pre-loading and whatnot, has there been any info on this? Will there be a pre-load? Or just a maintenance period with the update/expansion coming online for download during that time?

Typically there'll be a patch that acts as a preload that everyone will get, then the content simply unlocks at reset on launch day.

The nightfall this week feels really rough.
That's two attempts we ran out of time on the final boss.
This is one of the tougher ones. Make sure you have all anomalies memorized and when you get to the boss room, save a super or two for when the Ogres appear.

Riskrunner is also great during large parts of this strike including the boss room. The chain lightning clears enemies fast!

Hey, how come I cant remove legend of acrius from my inventory? Do I need to do the quest? Cause isnt the last step the prestige raid?

you can just dismantle it. it only costs 500 glimmer to rebuy it from the janitor robot that takes leviathan tokens. once you unlock the full version then it will appear in your exotics collection.

I don't care about the stream getting cancelled. It would probably be a colossal waste of time anyway. I just want actual answers and substance tomorrow. Not the usual wishy washy bullshit. You know, "We hear you guardians, we got tons of new adventures on the horizon". Nah, fuck that. Details and bullet points. Dates and general deadlines. I want a list that categorically highlights solutions, from A to Z, to all of the game's problems. Time to be serious and set things straight. Your house is burning and you need to put the fire out, Bungie. So what are you gonna do?

Between Bungie and EA man, I'm frustrated that we've seen so many people upset with the loot box situation. I really hope whoever is responsible for such decisions is not making those type of decisions for future games.

Looks like we're in luck. Tomorrow might really be a game changer for Destiny 2, and hell, the relationship between the community and Bungie in general.

But I probably shouldn't let my expectations run very wild...

Between Bungie and EA man, what kind of fuck ups are running these companies... They all need fired for such horrible decisions. I hope D2 turns around, they should be ashamed of how much they stripped away from the original game.
Maybe take a step back and breath. D2 has issues but nothing that can't be build on and improved (hopefully). And if they don't manage to improve it I'll just play something else, no big deal.

Yeah, and what about their families? No job means no income. Because they just has done bad game design decisions, this did not mean they have to fired.

I think The Dude is trying to say is that Bungie needs to be held accountable. You can't just let people or a company continue making poor decisions without consequences. One mistake shouldn't give ANYONE the boot. But a litany of fuck ups, year after year and month after month? If you're causing problems so great that you're effecting the business, serious changes have to be made. I'm not saying that should happen here, right now, in the case of Destiny or Bungie. Not at all. Just speaking generally.

I think Bungie feels the fire that's under their asses right now. They know they need to fix things. Let's just see how they go about doing it.

Yeah, thinking back I do seem to remember getting the data for the new content in a patch/update form that would then be activated upon release concerning the new content a week or two in advance of release. I was just curious because we are inside of a week of release now, Thursday looks like a good bet when the update will hit given the expected 6 hour maintenance.

Yea pretty much... Also I'm being a bit hyperbolic, I don't want to see anyone fired but those who make poor decisions need some sort of accountability. People want great gaming and having guys who make bad decisions is not helping the cause one bit. If people want games to get better the folks that are making some of the horrible decisions need demoted at the very least, you need people in there that have a clue what's going on, that's my gist.

Edit: wow I got a warning for simply exaggerating? Geez

It's entirely possible that the people with the most power and the most money in this situation think that Bungie is doing exactly the right thing. If they're making a game that appeals to more people overall, they're probably making more money. And even though as gamers we feel that shouldn't be the bottom line, it pretty much always is going to be the way the industry is structured for huge corporations like this.

Is it good? I have had a bunch of them that just added to my Legendary Shard count. I'm guessing you can get it from the Gunsmith and maybe as a generic drop from Devrim Kay. I can't remember exactly but given the amount I've had of this weapon compared to how many times I've gotten Reputation Gain Engrams from those two sources I'm assuming that's where I got them.

You can always just offer enough Tokens to be able to preview what a vendor offers (if it isn't listed it doesn't always mean that it doesn't drop from that particular vendor). Speaking of this is another QoL adjustment they need to make in allowing us to preview what a vendor offers at any time instead of after using Tokens to get an engram or having zero Tokens/resources for that particular vendor to actually view the preview.

I'm expecting some general talk concerning changes to reward distribution, more uses for Legendary Shards, ways to acquire specific gear/weapons outright, quality of life adjustments spanning the entire game's systems, future playlists concerning both PvE and PvP, and an explanation on what's going on with the XP system at present and going forward.

I'm definitely not expecting any talk of changing Destiny 2's biggest fundamental changes (compared to Destiny besides completely flubbing up the Economy/Currency system) like loadout changes concerning weapon types in different slots or random rolls returning. I don't suspect that will ever happen during the lifespan of Destiny 2 given their overriding preference of balance, balance, and more balance.

I need to see receipts. Bank statements. Pay stubs. Tax returns. Coupons. Transcripts. Report cards. Text messages. DMs. Emails. MRIs. CAT scans. Dog scans. Dog's asses. Ect.

I need to see serious shit before I allow myself to get too excited.
