The discord still sees quite a bit of activity and it will only go up once the expansion drops and brings more people back. Just remember to head to the role management section to enter into the LFG areas for your platform of choice.
Oh okay, cool thanks! Can you imagine that I've 3 characters 305, and went flawless in trails, yet have never beaten the raid yet? Lol.
It's literally the only trophy I've left to get for my first ever platinum lol
It is a lot of effort and a huge time committment for a lot of people. Sure it can take a regular crew 90 mins total to run through it but getting people through for their first time can take like 7 hours or more.
That's great then, I'm already in a conversation with John to get an invite! I've just been having some issues with Discord.

Are you an Xbox clan? The "clan" I've been in since D1 is just a small group of like six various friends, and none of them but me even play the game anymore, so yeah... I've been trying to find a decent-sized clan for me to join so that the whole clans part of the game is actually relevant.

Alpha Lupi was one of the most useless exotics in D1 for me but in D2 I just can't stop using it. While I think Titan Barriers are still better than the hunters roll, they ended up not being as helpful in general as I thought they would be before D2 came out. Alpha Lupi makes it much more useful in both PvP and PvE, plus I'm like 99% sure it heals teammates close by too.
While I still LOVE Alpha Lupi in its current form, I'm pretty god damn pissed that they took away the quick revive part. A nerf that, yet again, I can only imagine is due to PvP, seeing as how quick revives were a huge complaint in D1 Trials to the point where they nerfed the speed of them in Rise of Iron (or was it Taken King..? Either way point still stands).
Ohhh yea, I forgot about that part of it from D1. I can understand it maybe having too much in one if they kept the fast revive, but maybe they could bring it back by making it so that only you get revived faster or something. (Or they could add it to one of the terrible current exotics in D2 lol) Still, if they would just balance PvP and PvE separately you could totally still have that as a perk and then disable it for PvP. Maaaaybe one day.

Isn't Coldheart just better in every way? Sweet Business has a relatively small ammo pool as well, for some reason.
Yeah just a fancy looking set to eat up your bright dust. I believe it is either rotating out or getting the ornament slot at the start of s2.
I dont really find it viable in most activities but it is pretty damn fun to use regardless.

Did some research and it seems like there's no real consensus, seems like Sweet Business will outperform Coldheart while it has ammo. But the low ammo pool causes a problem in Calus DPS phase since you'll end up having to switch to another weapon. Overall not much difference. I agree Sweet Business is more fun to use though.
There is a consensus -- Sweet Business does more DPS period during a damage phase. And since you'll be killing adds with your elemental weapon, you'll have primary ammo (very likely) drop. I've done 10+ Calus clears with Sweet Business and have been top DPS every single death screen (lol) with no unique ammo problems.
How are you doing 4 plates with Sweet Business without running out of ammo? With Actium War Rig and Rally Barricade I'm pretty sure I've run out of kinetic ammo every single time.
I never use Sweet Business on adds, for one. I blow through my Power ammo on Plate 1 and start shooting Sweet Business a little, and I'm usually almost out at the end of Plate 4. I'm a Titan, so I lose time from throwing Pulses and popping Barricades. Then I mop up adds with Uriel's and collect kinetic and power ammo. Rinse and repeat, ez pz/
I'm about to do one now. Might be full. But we usually do back to back to back runs for shits and giggles. I'll ask to see if they'll mind having (I presume) first timer come along if we do multiple runs. No guarantees but I'll ask.
I really wish you could infuse up blue weapons as I really like the Ros Lysis II assault rifle and the Armillary PSu Scout Rifle. These guns feel like Destiny 1 weapons to me. Anyone know of any Legendary versions that are virtually the same?

I haven't found Legendary analogues for most of the generic blues.
Come to think of it, CoO is going to be the end of using blues for min-maxers, since Masterworks won't be applicable to anything below Legendary.

So.....no one is going to mention that Destiny has loadouts but you have to buy an Amazon device? Did Bungie create this for Amazon or is it no different than DIM, but in verbal form?

I'm increasingly recognizing the disconnect in a group of players that would complain about casuals without recognizing the similar traits within themselves. Loot replaces skill. The advantages a player gains should be largely determined by "time played/rng" instead of "time played+mechanics mastered" Catering to this very loud crowd is going to water down what little end-game difficulty exists.
There aren't a lot of 'git gud' Destiny players :feelsbad:

There are very few bad guns. You can do well with just about anything.
However, you can do better with a certain few guns.

My clanmate keeps telling us that we can use whatever weapons and armor we want, as long as we have our highest power level gear on our characters (unequipped).
Basically, I can have 200 powered weapons equipped and do full damage, as long as I have my max-power (let's say 290) weapons in my inventory. Is this true?
I know RNG takes your overall power into account, but I thought actual damage/defense counted your equipped gear.

Your damage and health in PVE are dependent on your displayed power level, so yes, it's based on what's equipped.
It's probably cognitive dissonance or whatever but I swear the last five exotic engrams I've found have all been the same gloves. I'd kill for hand cannon of any kind, powerful legendary or exotic. Daddy needs to upgrade his Sunshot.
You could do the exotic quest that gets you Sturm, if you haven't already that is.
Yea I did that. Haven't done the raid one yet, or that Rat King thing.
trials hand cannon is good, but Old Fashioned and Better Devils are superior to it.
Sweet Business has the highest DPS for Calus bar none, even without the War Rig.
