Even into the 4th season im amazed this show can look so good(on Network tv) every episode.
Is there somebody dumping secret millions into the show somehow?
And its not like its easy stuff to fill the show with(besides old crappy tvs and such)

You got entire streets filled with 70's cars
Wardrobe is always great even just extras
Interior "sets" are always great either super detailed/grimy or overt(Wayne Kitchen is literally the only eh set)
Exterior locations are always unique visual, on top of that they add (good)CG to build up many even more

Like this episode was the train that impressed me particularly, literally 20 seconds on screen and it looked like the interior from the early 1900s.

I 100% agree that this is a huge factor into what makes this show work for me. I REALLY would like to see how one of the CW shows would feel if they looked like Gotham. Would I take them more seriously? Would the world feel more lived in?

Gotham's look is one of the reasons why I feel it the hands down the best show based on a comic book. It never forgets its origin, so the style is always bold and dramatic. I hate the Marvel stuff that tries to make things more grounded in reality. it just comes off as dimly lit with washed out colors. Gotham is a feast for the eyes!

I agree it's time to let Sofia leave. She's too gangster and not villainy enough. It's fun seeing Penguin tormented, but she's not doing it for me. She's just fake all the time. So many great female characters on this show. She's not one of them.

Everybody immediately knew that the Martine killing was a ruse, right?

Where can I hire a right hand man like Zsasz? Dudes efficient and I like his style.

More Pyg is good.

Just looking at the awards for Gotham. Won a visual effects and stunt coordination emmy, but only nominations for cinematography and a couple of other categories. 3 times nominated for sound editing.

That's a shame. Gotham does look great and should be winning more technical awards. Nevermind winning for BEST TV SHOW EVER!!!

I wanna hang out in a cage with the fun people at Gotham Asylum. Just for a day. Listen to some stories. Play some opera. I bet it smells lovely in there.

Gotham continues to be dumb in the best possible ways. The show does an amazing job at building characters who start off as lacklustre.

With that said I wish they made Sofia more akin to her comic counterpart. Every woman (and most of the men) they have in the show is stupid hot, it would have been great to have her be physically intimidating and I could still buy Gordon being into her due to her conviction.

S04E08: "Stop Hitting Yourself"
I'm cathing up now, and I quite liked this episode. Not that major stuff happened, but that intro to the Riddler's penguin show was hilarious. I loved his green costume there, and that mask damn. It's definitely the highlight.

Just Penguin's reaction to the show, and Selina's giggling at him hahaha. I continue to not really liking the Sirens, they're just not interesting. Tabitha continues to feel like a cut out paper, but at least I hope she got Budge to wake up. Stupid Grundy. And Lee as the leader? Dayum, she'll probably manage and people will rally behind her. Honestly, I don't like the Sirens, Lee and Grundy much. I hope Tabitha just gets killed off, and that Selina gets to develop a lot this season, and that Babara gets to survive the entire thing.

And holy shit at that scene were Gordon takes over from Bullock. That letter man, damn. Falcone got power. And of course Penguin sees fit to train these kids up with murder tricks and whatnot, lmao.

Anyway, onto the next episode!

S04E09: "Let Them Eat Pie" was fantastic. What a great end to Professor Pyg's arc. That dinner scene was absolutely epic and one of the best moments in the show. He totally ruled the party, and serving them people was damn nasty. Of course Penguin jumps all in on that lmao. Sofia was gorgeous all the way through as well. I'm excited to see where they go next, and if
Jerome
is the next villain again. I don't like him but I'm willing to give him a chance. Oh yeah, and damn you Bruce, what a dick to Alfred you just was. Ugh.

Btw, more great cinematography.

Now onto yesterday's episode! So much Gotham today woo.

I like them. Barbara and Selina have had some really good moments in the show so it's a tough act to follow, but now that their business has been given free reign they can do some interesting stuff.
Once douche Bruce grows up, his interaction with Selina can continue as well.

I mean, like Selina and Barbara is my favorite on the show. I just haven't found it entertaining when all three of them were together.

I'm not too happy about the latest episode. Damn do the Sirens not work. They are always pawns in other people's games to get by. And I just want the Pyg arc over with and here we are, him escaping and not really being done with. Don't make him overstay his welcome. Give me more Sofia though, I want her to do a hard play and be a real treat to either Penguin or the GCPD. She is gangster, but I did like the whole mob thing in Season 1. They need to do more with Sofia, make her a bigger threat.

And yeah, where the hell is Scarecrow. I didn't like him either but he was hyped up before the season and I think he should be a bigger part of the plot.

Penguin's play with the kid was nice. And hell yeah, I finally got my Riddler back. Also kill Lee already; she is horrible.

The fan service of getting the Sirens together this early is not believable, but Barbara is sorta a Harley Quinn but she's just... not.
Selina is played by a short teenage girl

This is just too weird.

I haven't been keeping up with the show as much as I'd like but still a great season so far. But when's the last time we saw Ivy? Unless I'm missing something last time we saw her was the shop scene.

She was recast again, so I think we won't see her until the back half of the season.

And yeah, last scene was drinking all those meds.

Fall finale today:
Season 4: episode 11 "Queen Takes Knight"

Things get complicated for Gordon, Sophia and Penguin when Carmine Falcone comes to town. Alfred tries to get through to Bruce once and for all, while Nygma struggles to gain control over The Riddler persona and Tabitha attempts to make Grundy remember his past. Meanwhile, a familiar smile resurfaces in Gotham.

Oh man LOL

Man... Jerome is looking AWESOME on this latest preview!

Is it just me, or does he have a Nicholson-style Joker smile?
So glad he stuck around, he's so good.

Hopefully getting some sense knocked into him soon because if they keep this plotline going it might personally ruin an incredible season.
Yeah, this would be a good time to move forward from his downward spiral, it's lasted long enough, meanwhile the proto-Batman stuff at the beginning of the season before this was cool.
