A policeman hit Black Bolt with his nightstick, and Black Bolt accidentally blew up Earth when he grunted in pain.

Fun fact: That woman Kree is Florence Faivre, who played Julie Mao on The Expanse. (I thought she looked familiar and, sure enough, it's her!)

The writers really like to make Simmons suffer. She's the Miles O'brien of Agents of Shield.

They're definitely keeping it secret for a reason but I would assume we'll see him next week.

We definitely won't have to wait until they're back on Earth as that probably won't be until like episode 11 or 12.

My personal guess is that...

When we see Fitz, it will be him trying to find Hunter so that he can help him get the group back to Earth.

Late to the episode, but Mack is the best:

"I'm not comfortable about the pace with which we deal with new trials and tribulations."

"How hard did you hit him?"

"What do you mean? As hard as I possibly could!"

Hypothetically, if Fitz was still alive in the future, I bet he already exchanged his body for LMD to save his crew and the past.

That's just my speculation.

this episode was crazy

the only thing I don't like about this whole setup is that it seems like we won't be seeing a lot of (or any?) Fitz until it's all over.

that said, I love this show

edit: also, how fucked up is it that the kree dude deafens his servants to everything but his voice?

So do any of these new characters or storylines have any legacy from the comics? It seems all original to me

Thinking about Daisy and the Earth, there was a line in the episode that everyone has their own story about the Earth. That was Deke's and it may not be true necessarily.

Daisy breaks the earth fighting Thanos, so to save Earth they must under no circumstances appear in the next 2 Avenger movies. It's all connected!

Quake got blamed for Thanos or alien race wrecking the planet.

The flash forward makes sense now with Gregg saying the Avengers have forgotten him.

FitzSimmons are doomed so never be happy.

I don't think Daisy destroyed Earth. I think either a) it is their plan to tie in to Infinity War in that they are in an alternate future where Thanos won, or b) whatever the threat was that destroyed Earth will be the theme of the second half of the season.

I'm expecting that head Kree to start asking Simmons how many lights she sees any time now.
