Honestly I think they can continue what they've been doing. What needs to change about it is that they need a direction and production team that understands what a story is.
Kid Icarus? Uprising was practically a reboot already comparing it to the 2D games
I've been waiting for a decade plus for a LOK reboot, I dunno why nobody can get it to work.Unfortunately, I think if Square-Enix is ever serious about bringing the Legacy of Kain IP back it will have to be rebooted. I know they've tried and cancelled one such attempt. Maybe it'll be tried again one day...
Lore wise. The franchise can continue selling millions while not crushing fans' hopes with every game.

And DEFINITELY keep the wild Pokémon on the map like in LGP/LGE!
LinkStrikesBack said:if you can see the Pokémon you're going to fight before you do so, the entire wild battle system is almost trivial.
E.g. Say because of the overworld sprite, you know the Pokémon you're going to fight is a oddish. You're now able to switch your water pokemon out before the battle begins, preventing you from taking a attack, as you can switch your leader to your flying type who can deal with the oddish more effectively, before the battle begins instead of choosing to spend your first turn switching. This prevents your water and/or flying type taking an extra hit that they would have in the current system. This makes it much harder for an extended route or cave or etc... to wear your party down (because there's functionally no reason you should be taking any damage at all).
It's fine for let's go because you already can't take damage from wild Pokémon.
Pokémon... kind of. The battle system is solid at its core but it's tedious and needs speeding up. The part I think needs rebooting is everything surrounding it. I found Sun and Moon to be a step in the right direction, but it was too linear, slow, and not different enough. A lot of people mention Breath of the Wild as a model, which I think is a bit overkill, but a larger degree of freedom when it comes to exploring the world and changes in how to progress would go a long way. The animation (or lack thereof) is also outdated. Adding a lot of new animations for every single Pokémon wouldn't be too feasible, but everything outside of battle should be brought up to modern standards. And DEFINITELY keep the wild Pokémon on the map like in LGP/LGE!
I'm gonna have to disagree with this one. I think a back to basics 64 style with no bells and whistles would be best. Maybe some ship customization or new vehicles, but every game since that one has bogged down the classic gameplay with unneeded stuff. Zero came closest but the gimmicks were too invasive.
Absolutely not. I already made a post about it that I'll just quote in a moment when I find it, but that would break all semblance of difficulty. It's important that you don't know what wild Pokémon will be prior to the battle starting otherwise there's no point at all to having them.
It only worked in let's go because they specifically knew they were removing the battles in the first place.
This. Pokemon has to make the leap forward,I can't stand the same formula for the 20th time. A full third person open world pokemon game would be awesome
I see this a lot and I have a genuine question: What is the answer to this problem? Is there a game we can point to and say "Yeah, they got this right"?
Halo needs a fresh start, free of the current storyline and the very worn out Covenant.
And no, bringing back the god-awful to fight Flood is not the answer.
Glad I'm not the only person who thought of this. I've thought for a while that they should keep the 1000 man battle or whatever it's called but make the hoards of enemies more dangerous and better at punishing the player, and add in some high risk, high reward parry/counter mechanics like in Yakuza. Some unusual movesets like a designated grappler or mounted combat specialist would be great too.Dynasty Warriors - It would be great to see the series provide more depth to each of the characters they use rather than trying to fit in everyone. Go for variety of weapons and combos. Something like having the depth of Yakuza's combat but in a big battle scenario. Keep it casual friendly so button mashing is possible but for veteran players they need something nice to spice things up. Oh, and not open world!
While I would like to see a change in Tomb Raider, an open world is not the solution.Tomb Raider.
Use Assassins Creed Origins as a blueprint. Big open world with lots of underground tombs, caves, pyramids etc.
Horse, camel, raft travel.
Towns, npcs, merchants.
Gathering and crafting.
The series is not cutting it with its story and acting and would benefit from being open, free and unscripted.
After 15 years I feel that a new entry would be a reboot by definition..... sadly. In what universe does F-Zero need a reboot? It just needs a new game, not a reboot
Yakuza. The little changes they do to the combat aren't enough. I love the series but its staleness becomes more and more evident to me with every entry
A new art style for that series would be nice. They had Amano for its first 9 years, then Nomura for 22 years after that (aside from a brief moment of Yoshida with XII). It's time they gave a new style a try.Final Fantasy maybe with a different character designer too. Also, I'd like to see a reboot of Darkstalkers.
