Could Krillin defeat Imperfect Cell?

Basically, a "How strong are all the humans in Dragon Ball right now" thread based on who is the strongest enemy they could defeat.

Also Android 18 and Goten and Trunks.

I think post ToP Krillin could beat Imperfect Cell by the way.

I don't think Goten or Trunks could kill Perfect Cell as it happens but maybe I'm underestimating the boys.

The impression I got was that Krillin never got meaningfully stronger than his Frieza Saga days, but I have never really cared that much about power levels to really pay attention

DB Super power levels are all kinds of fucked. Maybe even Roshi could beat Cell at this point, who knows. There's no consistency.

Krillin is weaker than 18.

18 never trains as far as we know so she isn't any stronger than she was in the Cell saga.

Imperfect Cell took down 17 and so could easily do the same to 18.

Imperfect Cell > 18 > Krillin


All of the above is bullshit, the real answer is that with DBs sliding power scale they're as strong as however the story needs to them be.

Impertect Cell before sucking off most of the population sure as he even shat himself over fused Picolo. Now powered Imperfect Cell that be different even as ToP Krillin showed he has battle smarts for someone who was probably weakest on team due to lack of serious training

Would love if Krillin got a serious power boost up to like, Perfect Cell level. I mean, that's still super weak these days, but I'd love if he was better.

No. Krillin sucks balls compared to the later DB villains. I mean, Tien is canonically the strongest Earth warrior right and his ass got got by Nappa and Vegeta.

Maybe? I mean, not immediately pre-Semi-Perfect, because he had large buffs from the amount of people he absorbed, but very early Imperfect Cell wasn't much at all. Fused Piccolo rinsed him, and the only thing that saved him from being soundly beaten was his guerrilla tactics and the fact that Goku was out of the game at the time.

I mean, the question is whether Imperfect Cell would make the ToP roster, and I don't think he would- I'd guess he's down on power on everyone who isn't Roshi, and doesn't have Roshi's martial arts genius to make up for it. Maybe he'd knock out Tien, but not Krillin.

Saiyan-era Nappa and Vegeta would be laughably inconsequential to modern Tien.

18 took out Ribrianne who was at least capable of going toe-to-toe with base ToP Vegeta and Goku, which means she shits on Cell.

Because apparently being a cop got him to a place where he could at least keep Pace with SSjB? Who the fuck knows anymore.

Db super kirllin would merc imperfect cell and possibly perfect cell as would tien. Even big green would. But thats because db super power levels are crazy. Id like to see big green and krillin get some buffs. And gohans ass to stop being lazy and start training in earnest again.

Krillin can beat Goku using trickery under tournament rules, so I'm sure he can find a trick to beating Imperfect Cell in a legit fight, too.

They really just need to buff all the non-Goku/Vegeta characters & have more JoJo-y fights based around strategy more than power. I know we'll just keep getting stronger & stronger power-ups until UI is irrelevant, but it would be nice.

I mean, probably. Imperfect Cell's whole strategy is to run away and accumulate power--he wasn't actually that strong in his first (imperfect) form, IIRC. 'Cause remember, his whole method of powering up at this point is to absorb humans, all 5-ish power level of 'em.

Once Cell got one of the Androids it'd be over, though.

Nah man, it wasn't being a cop. He went to the magic swamp. How much more powerful is he after going to the magic swamp? Who the fuck knows? Probably not Toriyama.

At the time of the Cell Saga no. Piccolo was the strongest Z Fighter when imperfect Cell absorbed 17, and if Piccolo couldn't beat him Krillin sure as hell couldn't.

Now? Probably only through tactics, but I believe he could under the right circumstances

Honestly it doesn't make any sense to compare characters from wildly different points in the narrative, because the goalposts are on rocket sleds. I'd assume by the end of Super even the "joke" characters like Mr. Satan and that terrible little space cop dude could wreck anyone from the early arcs of Z.

Like you think I'm kidding but look at those robbers who roll up on Goku at the start of Super and realize that even the most mook-ass motherfucker on screen apparently gets scaled to a logical comparison point with Saiyan Jesus for the sake of the writers not having to think too hard about the narrative. Roshi's turtle is probably rocking a cool 10bn PL at this point.

It really sucks that the original Dragon Team members are pretty much useless now. If you don't have Saiyan blood you ain't shit. That's what you get when you let a committee dictate your shit though.

I never understood why none of the other Z fighters eventually learned the Kaioken. Would've been a decent way to keep them somewhat relevant.

I agree ,i really do find the vareity of fighters really interesting compared to it just being the saiyan show.
