Consider the fact that Lauriam and Elrena are both in UX as keyblade wielders from the past. That's why I think it's hinting at that

For people who have been fans of this series for a long time and are now learning some details about how it concludes, would you recommend the series to a new player who has been putting it off until it's complete? Does it seem worthwhile?

Thx, perhaps all 4 if it keeps going. We know others have separate fights due to the leaks from Dee. Repliku, Vanitas, Terranort, Saix, possibly Xion, Vexen and Xigbar all have fights after this.
Repliku is specifically fought by Riku/Sora. Saix by Sora/Xion/Roxas. Vanitas by Sora/Ventus allegedly. We just dont know if the other 4 specifically have fights but im willing to believe they do.
We do know YX, Xemnas and Ansem do have fights with Mickey, Sora and Riku before Xehanorts final fight though
