Then they taste like shit. No way your hand salting is gonna replicate the wondrousness of having them pre-salted.

because the salt they use for fries is ground super fine. If you want fresh fries all you have to do is ask for them... Burgers too. You don't need to order unsalted fries or weird ass burgers to get fresh food

Not sure how many people know this but I learned the no clip method way to late in life.

Or you could save 10 minutes folding your potato chip bag and just buy a damn clothespin.

Next you'll tell me I can get enough ketchup by just using 2 of those stupid cups instead of spending minutes unfolding one so I can look like I've spent time reading about "life hacks" online

Here's one the pickle people might not know. A chipotle pepper is a smoked or dried jalapeño pepper.

"Segue" is pronounced like "segway", not "se-goo".
"Segway" is the common pronunciation, that I'll have to admit ...

But I've always wanted to argue that it actually should be "Seeg". As in "Fugue" ("Fyoog"), to which I'm convinved it must be a cousin.
I don't think there's any linguistic justification for that 'ue' ending to end up as 'way'.
Beyond the common need to pronounce it somehow, and "way" being the lowest hanging fruit.
But again, this is a technicality, and one I'm open to being wrong about if needs be.

It's "burying the lede" not "burying the lead".

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bury_the_lead

Seems to be depending on where in the world, so not strictly true.

Not that big of a deal I guess but for many years because of the font I thought there were an movie called "SALU". Never thought that deeply about it. Wasn't until much later I was told it said SAW, not SALU. I heard people talking about Saw movies but never made the connection, never watched the movies.

Until a couple of years ago (I'm 30), I thought pickles were their own thing. Like, you grew pickles. I didn't know they were cucumbers that were pickled.

I was in an AP Humanities class in high school learning about food industry in 1900s, believe we were reading, the jungle, and I said out loud, "wait... Pickles are cucumbers?"

Felt like an idiot as it seemed everyone else was aware of that

This chips bag thing is stupid. Just skip the first four steps and fold it into the bag with your hands. It's even faster than this useless folding or clip shit.

Not really no, it's very much the industry standard in journalism which is where the phrase originated from:

https://grammarist.com/usage/lead-lede/

Lede also appears, sometimes figuratively, in the expression bury the lede, meaning to begin a news story with nonessential details. Bury the lead sort of works, but bury the lede is the conventional spelling of this expression.
