Why the fuck would Xavier be on SHIELD is probably it

Or why introduce Mutants on a show you don't acknowledge

They are acknowledged in the MCU as inhumans, the reason is to simply introduce a greater power to Shield could even make that the reason as to why Nick Fury has gone awol.

Nevermind I'm guessing you haven't been following the news on Fox.

I have been following the Fox news.

That has literally NOTHING to do with the season 5 plot of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The fact that you've somehow created a link in your mind between the Fox news and the plot on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., somehow coming to the conclusion that the X-Men will show up at the end of the season literally makes no sense.

What if the real reason Disney forced this show to be renewed was because they already saw the wheels in motion for acquiring fox and plan to close the season out with Charles Xavier introducing X-Men?

This is what started this argument. I can't fathom how you put this together.

WOW.

I just finished watching both the latest episodes of Runaways and Agents of Shield today. Both shows are showing / showed massive destruction to earth.

Finally watched the premiere. Loving it so far.

I really liked the callback to Coulson's hand when Coulson, Yo-Yo, and Mack were stuck to the wall. When Yo-Yo mentioned that this would be a good time to have an axe, the other two immediately went "Nah too soon." Good stuff.

Seeing the Hunter and Bobbi talk makes me want to re-watch S2 now.

That's not how that works

Ain't no way on God's Green Earth they gon fucking show off Xavier on SHIELD

Like....what planet you live on where that's an option

The show spun out from Avengers.

They've already done crossovers with Avengers 2, Thor 2, CA: Winter Soldier, possibly others im forgetting along with general mentions of the characters along the way.

Xavier himself might not showup but the entrance of X-men in the MCU universe will impact Shield storylines providing X-Men joins the MCU as they are both entertwined.

The crossovers that occur on Shield have sucked since season 3. The ratings went in the toilet for the show and Disney stopped caring to have characters like Fury, Maria Hill, and Sif make TV appearances. They would NEVER introduce characters as important as Charles Xavier, or any of the other big name Xmen, in AOS.

I hope so too, I think this arc should be "so what the fuck went wrong, and how can we fix that ? then how the fuck do we go back in time to fix it, thus starting second arc"

Watched it the other night with the other half, BANTS galore, loving the interplay. Mack stay winning best thing about the whole episode "you know who they get 1st!", amazing. Creeping down the corridor together as a group struck me as the smartest and the most logical thing to do in that situation they could have done.

The dude getting it from the thing just when he was about to explain everything! I know it's a trope, but I genuinely jumped in the air, was not expecting that.

Great dialogue, great acting, the stakes mean something, fuck yes AOS, I see you.

My favorite parts were the "space, of course it's the only thing we haven't done yet" and yoyo asking about a SHIELD division called SPEAR or something

Watching Runaways (the girls wearing altered Hillary Clinton campaign shirts) I came to think, who is the current American president on Agents of Shield and who has been in this seat so far?

I really hope the Marvel shows aren't looking at the CW shows and thinking.. "we must do crossovers".

Cmon, SHIELD is in space. Dealing with blue man group. They don't need anything else.

Justin Hammer so he can create H.A.M.M.E.R. and have Thunderbolt Ross assemble the Dark Avengers/proto-Thunderbolts with Captain America (Zemo), Iron Man (Justin Hammer), Thor (Loki), Hawkeye (Batroc), Hulk (Red Hulk or Abomination), Black Panther (Killmonger), Vision (Armin Zola), and Black Widow (mind-controlled Agent 13) so they can send a government sanctioned group to fight Thanos and take down the fugitive Avengers.

Eventually, when they clash with the Avengers, Zola is destroyed, Loki bails on the team, and Agent 13 kills Cap. In the aftermath, Sharon snaps out of it when she realizes what she's done, Zemo is turns a new leaf and adopts the identity of Citizen V inspired by Captain America's sacrifice paving the way for a future incarnation of the Thunderbolts for their own film.

Are you trying to tell me you don't want a Saint Agnes Orphanage reunion between Matt and Daisy?

Bruh it's been two episodes and the main main Leopold Fitz has yet to show up
Normally i'd give something a chance but there is nothing that could get me into it, it just isn't what I want from Agents of SHIELD.
I said the same thing about Flash though and it had been a pretty good season until I saw that preview, if that mess gets drawn out im dropping it till it ends.

Dove Cameron was just announced as Spider Gwen in an animated series that has Chloe Bennet playing Quake and Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl

So ... Second arc about alternate dimensions with Ghost Spider on SHIELD ?

That seems super impossible but, I mean...

They did make a big deal of it... and Disney is launching a streaming service... and Dove Cameron as Spider-Gwen would definitely attract an audience... and it would let them milk the Spider-Man universe without bumping into their film plans... and it wouldn't be the first time they soft-launched a property on one show before spinning it off into its own thing...

...we'll see.

Nah, her role won't have anything to do with Spider-Gwen. She already voiced her and has a contract for that role, so she's just gonna get back to that. Her Agents of Shield role and contract is probably something completely different.

Wing na men is also in that Secret Warriors cartoon and she's playing the baddie.

I haven't seen anyone mention this in this thread ... from Andrew Smith's column on Comics Round Table:

Andrew Smith said:
The space station (and the remains of Earth, we're told) are infested with human-eating aliens known colloquially as "roaches." Specifically, they are Vrellnexians, an obscure alien race introduced in 1973 "Thor" comics by Gerry Conway, the co-creator of The Punisher.

So there ya go, the bootleg xenomorphs are actually Vrellnexians, and they predate Alien by six years.

The name was actually mentioned in dialog. It's much easier to catch references like that with closed captioning on. (I didn't use to watch with closed captioning, but I now live with a roommate who loves to talk over the TV shows I'm watching and I'll miss stuff if I don't turn them on now.)

It was actually mentioned and linked in one of the first pages of the thread.
Some days ago I went back to find it but couldn't and have been looking for the alien race's name ever since. So thanks for reposting it!

This is a question I've seen a few times and they've really danced around it.

Obama wasn't ever officially mentioned in the MCU (rather the movies I should say), but hints toward him being the president of the time pre 2012 were in Iron Man and stuff (the "HOPE" inspired Iron Man poster, etc) and it seems Matthew Ellis was elected in 2012. Luke Cage mentions Obama being president but...it's not really clear exactly whats up with the Netflix shows and/or if it's just a continuity error.

Ellis is still president of whatever/wherever Agents of SHIELD takes place (if it truly is part of the main MCU?)
