More than yes. They'll fix the game eventually lol.Is it worth $24? I got it on the price glitch Sunday, but I haven't opened it up yet. Debating to keep or return...
The fucking servers in this game are atrocious. If 90% of the world did their job half as bad as the inept people that run this show we'd all be jobless. I would literally move forward 10 feet and get skipped back 15 at times. I didn't have much time to play tonight but between the lag and fact that it takes fucking forever to leave one server and join another I might as well have never even tried.
Wich platform?Takes forever for a HvV room to fill up, and people just AFK when the game starts. As far as I'm concerned this mode is non functional.
Hero Hunt was a better more interesting mode anyway.
You know, it blows my mind that DICE or whoever you want to blame STILL cannot properly backfill a running game with players. This was my #1 reason to quit playing the last game, and I was hesitant about getting SWBF2 because of it. I mean, you would be wondering why you're getting steamrolled in Supremacy or whatever, and look up at the scoreboard and sure enough, it was your 3 guys against their 19.
Just happened again. Wondering why we're getting pushed around. It's 10 vs 19. At the end of the game, where it's had plenty of time to find fillers. Getting this shit more frequently as well as the atrocious lag on 2 different platforms. I take it the powers that be (whoever we blame for this) is silent as usual, eh?
Yep. My question is, is this the same DICE that works on Battlefield, and if so, do those games have the same issues? I mean for real, its like they only care about making the game LOOK and sound good, not play well. And for 2 games now. Amazing. What drives me insane is a match will be 12 vs 16 and for some reason new players get added to the team with 16 first. They're winning, they have more players and you decide to give them a bigger advantage? Thanks for that.
So the game apparently has a glitch where the audio just straight up cuts out and stops working until you reset it. Neat.
Also I love that if you're on a server with even a little bit of lag, the Starfighter component of GA matches is rendered almost entirely nonfunctional. Like it's literally unplayable, shots don't register, ships rubberbanding through the sky, it's really quite impressive. Looks like an indie studio's first attempt at a multiplayer netcode.
Funnily enough, I just got off the longest and best GA seating I've had in the game. My team was killing it for both offense and defense on 4 maps, not to mention it was my own best performance thus far.I have come to the conclusion that it is entirely legitimate to hang back as a hero/villain on GA and play it safe. People have absolutely no concept of teamwork in this game. Why run in and play the objective if your boys aren't going in with you.
I've had a few of those games now and then, but my former experience is too frequent. But, I guess that's the nature of the game. Battlefront has always been more of a casual shooter than other games. And thanks to DICE, the last game was pretty much coin-op level arcade casual.Funnily enough, I just got off the longest and best GA seating I've had in the game. My team was killing it for both offense and defense on 4 maps, not to mention it was my own best performance thus far.
Just goes to show how far you can go if you're lucky enough to be placed with 20 very competent people.

I don't know how to get 50 kills with the Specialist with that first gun... it's really weaksauce and I'm always getting counter-snipe-one-shotted by guys with the top tier Specialist rifle :(
I've been using their special ability to flank and murder... but that's not going to get me the next gun :(Yeah, those starter guns are basically tossing spitballs.
My advice? Steal kills. It's cheap and makes people mad at you, but it might be your best bet. Worked for me.
Specialist is shit-tier anyways. I gave up on him yesterday. No fun to play and feels way too weak overall. On the other side I am happy that he is so weak because I hate snipers. Only played him for some challenges and the headshot-trophy.I don't know how to get 50 kills with the Specialist with that first gun... it's really weaksauce and I'm always getting counter-snipe-one-shotted by guys with the top tier Specialist rifle :(
I would have died 3 times in that situation because everybody would just focus-shoot me immediately. You didn't even lose 1/3 of your health, lol.
Oops, I did it again. How to ensure your team stays on the damn capture point.

I've been grinding the Specialist to unlock the burst mod for the A280-CFE and its been painful. The default single shot gets easily out-sniped by Officers with Blurrgs and S-5's, and its optimal mid-range leaves you open to being mown down by Assaults and Heavies.
I finally unlocked the burst mod last night and took it for a spin in Arcade before shutting down. Seems like a massive upgrade to what would otherwise be an utterly trash gun and I can't wait to try it out tonight in GA.
I think the biggest problem with the Specialist is the lack of HP. Its fine when you're 1000 miles away sniping with your NT-242 but I prefer to play more aggressively.
What I did find interesting though was a loading screen tooltip that said Specialists regen health the fastest of all the classes, and Heavies the slowest. I mean, if regen is a flat rate, that's obvious (100 HP vs 200 HP) but it could imply a shorter regen delay perhaps?
How could Hoth be so great in the last game yet be so terrible in this one?? In general, it feels like the maps are just so much more congested with choke point after choke point everywhere and tons of narrow paths to funnel players down.
It's not like the maps in the last game were particularly phenomenal, but sometimes I find myself missing them while I play these.
I fucking hate night Kashyyyk with passion. Can't see shit and I get it every 2 or 3 games lol

AmenIts so sad with all this lootboxshit, because game itself is one if the best this year.
Kashyyyk is great in the nighttime, just because visually it looks amazing. I don't like the early part of that map, its too spread out, but once it funnels the players into attacking the two battle tanks and then the battle for the base at the end its great.
The only 2 maps I'm really not fond of are Star Killer Base and Yavin 4, particularly the latter. all the rest I'm quite happy on
So many of the maps I'm still marvelling at. I'd love to see a design diagram of the Jakku map. Its just insane.
I think that's the only thing you can do with crystalsWhat to do with the 500 crystals from the multiplayer milestone? Just pump it into crates?

Agree with this. Lootboxes are kinda interesting (don't kill me for this statement). I can craft the cards i want, so basically you can upgrade what you want. I think that the backlash for this lootcrate debacle was justified, but way overblown at the end. Cards only make a marginal difference on the Battlefield imo, a skilled player who knows the maps and moves well on the field will always beat a noob with the best upgrades attached.Eh. I don't think the lootboxes hurt the game much. I've been playing casually since it came out and I feel like I've made a lot of progress, and anything I've deemed really important to upgrade (e.g., the bounty hunter card) I've been able to upgrade directly with the crafting parts I've earned. It hasn't been a grind at all. I'm just playing a game or two when I feel like it and I've made meaningful progress -- My heavy trooper is level 20 with level three and four star cards in all slots and all guns unlocked. Again -- Not grinding, just playing casually.
BTW, does anyone find the heavy's barrage card to be useful? It seems weak, and probably not worth giving up the shield, but I like the idea of it.
The backlash from MTX/Lootboxes/Progression system has hurt the game a lot both in terms of sales and "reputation". I know many people that has decided not to pick it up because of it.Eh. Originally it was because you'd be more likely to go and buy lootboxes. Why do they even bother forcing you to have to go back to the main menu to have you claim rewards and stuff. The loading times are too long for this crap.
Ughh, I like the game so far. But god damnit is it bogged down with all this crap.Originally it was because you'd be more likely to go and buy lootboxes.
