X-Men feels like too much commitment for him. He seems better suited for Eternals where he can do exactly how many issues he wants with no need to be pulled into quarterly events ala X-Men

It's hard to care about any new X-Men writer because by the time the first volume is out they'll have already announced another Bold New Direction where nothing is ever the same again.
Other than Gillen's 11 issue Extinction Team series and Bendis' run the main X-Men title hasn't been good in decades. It's just shit run after shit run with Extraordinary, Gold, and New X-Men.

I still don't get how that's supposed to be Kamala.
That lady looks 15 years older, Kamala doesn't have earrings, typically no jewelry at all besides her bamgles, and the story takes place in New York (yeah it's not that far, but she makes somewhat of a deal when she does go there).
You mean the other preview store people go to in order to figure out what they want to order from Amazon?

Only 'cus they had that killer sale where I got it for $20 bucks but starting with volume 2 it's back to IST since you get a 42% being that it's Dark Horse.
I could go back to Amazon if they do another of those sales, though. They'd be nice.
This is true, but I fear the other volumes will sell out on IST before you can even place an order because DH only gives like three to sell.
Also has anyone gotten their Amazon pre-orders for Berserk 1 yet? I've had that pre-order in since last year, but hopefully next week it finally ships?

I haven't actually read much of his indie stuff, just the first issue of 4 Kids, which was pretty good from what I remember, I was planning on reading further but I never got around to it
The release date is on the 26th, not really sure why it's a whole month after other places got it, though. I know that Amazon usually gets stuff a bit later to give comic stores and whatnot an advantage but it's never a whole month, right? It's weird.
I feel like the best parts of Rosenberg at Marvel are when he just cribs from his indie stuff, like that one open to a Secret Warriors issue that's straight out of 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank. When he's working with an artist that can use the space and do fun tricks, it clicks, you see how it's all meant to fit together, and it works.
So they gave him the main X-Men ongoing and got him Salvador goddamn Larocca.

It's worth circling back around for. It's a great, tight story with gorgeous art.
Rosenburg is basically the first round draft pick who's just there and then comes the actual guy who is good, Cates. Rosenburg gets outclassed like nothing now.
It doesn't help he's a huge Magik mark.

That hairstyle makes no sense either. Kamala from her other cameo in Carol's book looked like Kamala we would know. Then again, this was before anyone had any idea how big she would be.
