Not surprised about Dillashaw. Rap Snitch Knish, neck tattoo aficionado, and P4P Dumbest fighter alive Cody Garbrandt already implicated TAM, himself, and Dillashaw less than a year ago.

TJ has probably been on roids for a while.
The way he talks about his 'conditioning' improving makes me think he's been taking something to aid with recovery because he talks about setting the best times in training ever at the age of 31, 32, 33.

A top fiver?
I was looking just at the top 10 and couldnt see a match for him but lets double check.

Khabib - No chance
Tony - out for now
Conor - wishful thinking
Dustin - booked
Al - recently worked him
Barboza - booked vs Gaetjie
Gaetji - see above
Pettis - booked
Cerrone - Already booked

And thats the top 10 done....

Gregor Gillespie - Makes sense and is where he should be looking.
Nate Diaz - sigh....contract probably wouldnt ever get signed.

TJ Dillashaw
Ohh man a full year suspension while you are the champ?
Can Dominick please get frikken healthy and be the champ we deserve.
Else all our hopes are on Moraes?

Lee is gonna fight Dos Anjos at welter

Not what I would have predicted, but why not

I know a lot of tri athletes and such that lose their quickness as they age, but improve their conditioning to make up for it. This shouldn't come as some sort of surprise.

TJ using for years is a possibility. But I think the above is a bad example in how it correlates.

True but TJ wouldn't be the first MMA fighter to only start using once they started slowing down.

Lee v RDA is a fight of two men trying to get their careers back on track, could be a barnburner.

Triathletes and runners have a vastly different definition of conditioning than fighters. You cannot be slower and more conditioned as you age into MMA, its such an explosive sport that the two of them are tied at the waist. Tri athletes peak in their early to mid 30s, usually after about 15 years of training. MMA athletes peak athletically in their late 20s and have considerably slid down after about 9 years of being a pro.

However, a lot of them cannot match their athletic and technical peaks so you see fighters that are old but have perfected their technique to the point where they get a second wave of performance. GSP, DJ, Max, Jones, etc, a lot of these monster champs have been able to match their a peak in technique and athletics which is what brings them to the next level. On the other hand, the whole Anderson Silva UFC run was a post-prime anderson, which kinda makes it even more impressive.

On the subject of TJ. He definitely reached his upward slope technique wise around the time of the Dom fight, which should also have matched his athletic peak. Telling us that he was then able to keep getting his athletic numbers higher and higher after that is suspect as fuck.

Wasn't expecting that...yikes. Marlon gets his shot now for sure at least.

RDA against another wrestler? Brave. Wonder what we're going to see from Lee at 170, he has a few holes for sure, but not having to cut so much weight should help him in several ways.

Jan vs Rockhold at UFC 239. Good to see Luke is finally moving up.

Can't to wait to see Marlon knock his fucking head off.

is there a micro-chance of gaethje beating barbosa??

i mean i love justin like everyone else, but he can't eat barbosa kicks like he eat punches in every fight or he's gonna get knocked out cold with the first spinning kick...

what do you think guys?

(sorry for my english)

I'll be rooting for the guy, but I don't think he has much of chance against Barboza.

And your English is fine.

thanks.

do you think that maybe justin will be prepared and with a plan against edson? i don't know...an actual defense that doesn't suck would be a nice first step...or maybe just ultra aggressive style in the pocket where edson can't kick your heads off easily?

Gaethje is one of the best wrestlers at Lightweight, he just doesn't want to use it. If he could combo his brawling and wrestling he could be a Top 3 LW.

If it's just a striking matchup, Justin definitely has a chance, but Edson should be the favorite, yeah. His toughness and ability to deal with damage is even higher. Probably the best in the division, if not all of the UFC.

If Justin actually decides to wrestle, it's going to be another long night for Edson...that's a big if though.

I don't think he plans on many more fights before retiring, in which case I just don't think he cares enough to adapt his game and develop some defense. It's a bummer, cuz the motherfucker is exciting as hell.

Justins best bet would be to give him a wrestlefucking, but I assume he's going to hang in the pocket.

I mean, it's a shit thing to do but he did try to rehome it? And he didn't just put it down first thing.

I've got an 11 year old dog with a torn achillies tendon who needs a brace to get around and I know plenty of people who would look after her in a heartbeat, so I dunno about this one.

EDIT

Actually, now that I think of it the poor thing had to shit and piss in that for 5 days, so yeah, hit him with the cruelty charge.

In better news, Florida no longer has a zero tolerance policy towards cannibanoids.

Saw a link to an article on cnn claiming Maycee Barber is the next MMA star, which means I fully expect her to lose now.

If anyone cared about rules, that would be a DQ on Vera but Im not gonna get pissed about the whole thing. Saenz was hurt but defending until vera started hitting the back of the head.

Woof. Aldrich was looking pretty good but Barber just seems huuuuge. Can't believe she was 115 before this

Great performance by Peña, they did him wrong at the end though. Only one of the opponents corner man shook his hand and Cormier denying him the mic. Felt bad for the dude.

He will either kill himself or harm his performance so much from these 145 weight cuts that he'll be losing to smaller guys.

Despite the win, he should be cut unless he goes back to Lightweight. This was a stupid experiment.
