The x2 of the event seems to be over. I just did an Exploiter run and I got 2 instead of 4. They extended the event period but not the x2.

The discounts you get on the platinum in those packs is worth it, failing that, if you're a PC player, wait for some platinum discount coupons in your daily bonus.
After trying to get into this game 6-7 times over the years, this past weekend it finally clicked for me. I am playing on Switch, which is a good experience but clearly has performance issues especially in open world maps. I have a desire to switch over to PC, but I do not want to re-grind for everything. I really wish they would implement cross progression somehow...

Well, a mission in the Man of Few Words quest has a scripted manic spawn, and if I don't get the drop I want I can just restart the mission. So I'm gonna try that.

Took me 6 or 7 tries, but I got Ash Systems. This seems to be a viable way to get Ash for those that want to craft him.
Hek is an awesome shotgun but it requires MR4.
They both require multiple neurodes to craft which can be hard to get for new players.

All of the starter frames - Excalibur, Volt, and Mag - are all really good and well worth getting ASAP. Frost and Nova are two great early-ish Warframes you can aim for too.
As for weapons, my favorites at MR5 and under --
Primary - Vectis, Hek, Sybaris, and I guess the Grakata if you're looking for an AR.
Secondary - Atomos and Vasto are the standouts, but the Afuris feel pretty good to use too, I guess.
Melee - Atterax, Dual Zoren, Gram, Galantine, Tipedo, Tonbo, Volnus, and Guandao are all pretty great.
Basically anything above is more than fine to get you through the whole Star Chart (except maybe the afuris). I think a lot of those might require Argon Crystals, so make sure to have a path to the Void open -- you can usually grab at least 1-2 per run through a Void map. If you plan on putting in a decent chunk of time manage to get a little bit of extra plat, resource and credit boosters will be a huge help early on with the lack of rare resources like neurodes and the early game's low credit flow.

I'm like 90% sure that bar doesn't actually have anything to do with the event. I remember it being halfway full when things started, so maybe it's just an indicator of player activity in sealing the fractures. Might be fun if in the future, people don't do it so the bar fills up and explodes the Vallis somehow.

Baro is due in a day as well. You could build up a tidy hoard by the time Tennocon rolls around (109 days away) but...I dunno. I think 3 months of ducat and credit hoarding would burn you out faster than just regularly checking out Baro. I'd make that call more on whether you want the armor and the plat than on Baro access.

I plan to get this. Not sure what the cosmetics look like. Ill ask my buddy google. Have you ever been to a Tennocon? Do they usually release massive things there? Or is there any con only gear?
They normally give announcements about upcoming stuff, releasing an update as a part of the con would be a bit odd, when everyone present is away from their PC/console.
Any gear is cosmetic only, just armor and syandanas.
Last years con was a bit insane, I'm not sure how can they top it this year. Part of me would prefer if they didn't make any major announcements, just some previews and updates on stuff we already know is coming.
Ill need to see what they released last year. i am really hype for it, and really wish I could make it there in person

In case you haven't done all the quests, the last few minutes has massive spoilers.
I have done all of the main story so far (I believe). I havent done all of the side ones, but I know I really need to. I keep wanting them to just randomly drop Railjack. I just hope they dont make it have a heavy gateway to play. I still need to get around to doing spiders, but that means I have to do fortuna quests, and my computer acts randomly on fortuna. Either way, no matter what they announce for upcoming content, I will be stoked!
Steve said there is a bug on orb vallis that affects performance, lowering the texture settings to low could fix it temporarily while they fix it.
Railjack will have its own room on clans' dojos, with the ship in there for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, customizing, etc.
Oh man that is so freaking awesome!! Thank goodness its not just my rig. It runs WF decently otherwise, just hates fortuna, and if I go on a busy shard, it will get like 5fps (not even joking)

Nope, heading there this year though. There's usually plat giveaways, swag, and cool things to experience (the playable Stalker mode, for example), but I don't think there's anything special given away for the game.

Real easy baro breakdown this week. Going to shorten it to things you need to pick up. Everything else is optional or mastery fodder. The new item this week is an inaros-themed Scimitar skin.
Tempo Royale: The drop rate on this stance is abysmal, and it's a fantastic stance to have for heavy blades. It's worth the ducats to just get it from him here instead of hoping the bursas or teshin treat you kindly.
Eminence colors: The best purples, pinks, and light blues in the game. A must buy for anyone looking to Fashion Frame.

The problem is that they didn't say anything in advance and a lot of people bought boosters. I mean, it wasn't the players fault that the event had to be extended, and the double weekends was something the community "won" last month. So... the least they could've done is to tell everyone in advance that they were going to do this.

Speaking of drops has DE done something with the amaryst(purple fortuna gems)? I've spent almost 5 hrs and over 150+ blue mining nodes and they refuse to drop. Ever.
I swear the mining nodes are broken. Half the time i can go through all the nearby caves/craters with no nodes at all. Just run through the areas again on a new instance and nothing.

Strongly suggest bringing an effective Oberon, Trinity, or anyone who has the Vazarin focus school sorted out (the healing+invuln dash quality works on ANY ally, including defense objectives and targets).
edit: Gara with Mending Splinters would be an excellent choice for this one. You can trap the defense target in her glass wall and make a safe playpen for him while healing and giving him damage reduction.

anyone ever get a trade ban? i got a two week one for a "recent mission...flagged for having abnormal results". which kinda sucks since i was hoping to farm up equinox prime and trade for plat. the only thing i can think of as being "abnormal" was getting 8 toroids from one exploiter orb due to resource + double kavat buff. is it worth it to put in a support ticket or do i just have to wait out the two weeks? i know the last support ticket i put in took over a week itself to get resolved. and i guess i have to leave the smeeta at home for orb fights now so it doesn't escalate the issue?
