You have to play co-op? You cant play alone?
I know your can play alone, but it may still require an A.I. partner because of how some in-game strategies work.

For instance, there was an enemy perched on a truck with a shield in front of him firing a heavy machine gun. Attacking him head on would force you to take major damage, but if one of the two players goes to the side of his vehicle and takes cover, he rotates that direction to attack. While his flank is exposed, you can then come out of cover and shoot him from the side. When he rotates towards you, your partner can then do the same.

I set up the PS4 Pro today and within ten minutes ran into an issue that made me second guessing the upgrade. I was mere moments into playing Robot Rescue in Playroom VR when suddenly static started flashing across the screen and then the display went black. I could still hear sounds and the system was responding to my controller input, but no picture on the headset or the TV. Wondering if maybe it was coincidental and something had happened to the PU or the TV, I plugged the Pro directly into the TV and everything was fine. I then reconnected the cables to/from the PU and didn't have the issue again. Very odd.

I did a bunch of searching for the issue and it sounded like I was checking all of the boxes of things people did to fix it. It didn't happen again after the initial episode for the half hour or so I was bouncing around seeing how various PSVR games looked on the Pro. We'll see if the black-out happens again in the future. FWIW, I have my PS4 set to 1080p with HDR off because my TV isn't 4K and doesn't support HDR.

Has anyone else encountered this?
I had something similar happen last week playing Rec Room. The headset cut out for a moment then went back to normal, but someone in the room with me said they couldn't see what I was doing anymore. The TV never went blank but it had static covering most of the picture. Since I've had PSVR set up for months I knew nothing was incorrect in my setup, and a reboot fixed everything. Just one of those early adopter issues, I guess. I hope neither of us see it again!

Just had something similar. I was playing Persona 5 (headset plugged in but switched off) when the screen flashed and went black for 2 seconds. After that everything went back to normal. I haven't had that happen before. I'm using a PS4 pro with the newest headset. I assume it's got something to do with that splitter(?) box that came with the headset.

Got an order in for pickup tomorrow for a Skyrim Bundle and a GT sport Bundle, trying to make up my mind on which to keep. Don't have GT yet but I am a racing game fan and have some interest in outside of its limited VR function. Played a shit ton of Skyrim back on 360 and also own it on Switch. Really want it on VR after following the thread but it's not something I have to have right this second either. Plus I really want to pick up PSVR Worlds and Batman to show off to the fam over the holidays.

I'm not new to PSVR, owned it earlier in its life cycle and got rid of it and have regretted it ever since so the sale is just the excuse I need lol. On one hand it seems crazy for me to buy GT Sport bundle with the 'outdated' v1 and then buy move controllers and only be $50 away from the newer stuff. On the other side of the coin I get Gran Turismo plus a couple more games for the same money.

What do I do? Driving myself nuts here

Edit - HDR pass through isn't real high on my priority list I guess. No 4K tv atm as I'm hanging on to my Panasonic plasma for dear life. Waiting on OLED to come down more, by that time we may have or be on the cusp of another revision?

Skyrim -GT sport is already dropping in price and you'll get a great PSN discount soon or pick up a used copy.

Skyrim. I don't have a 4K TV but I still wish I had the rev 2 headset.

Played 1.5 hours of RE7 last night and messed me up a bit. I was doing okay in the tighter corridors of the guest house, but I had to stop once I got to the main house. Reading through this thread about motion sickness, I think I'll step back to some stationary demos. I was using smooth turning and trying to coordinate my head turns with the analog camera movement. The angled turns didn't feel right to me. Have to come back to that one later. I had no problem with Until Dawn, that was fantastic - played well and looked great.

So, a lot of good stuff out of PSX, but still no news on the Manchester Studio game?

When is the next event when we're likely to see a reveal? Or will they just do a press release reveal?

Skyrim bundle. You can pick up GT:Sport for really cheap and move controllers are still hard to find.

The company hasn't been open for that long and it is rare for a company to just jump straight into the development of a game. Usually, developers will come up with different ideas then pitch these to publishers (Sony) which takes time, if anything is in development it likely won't have been for that long. Lets say when they were looking for artists is when they got the go-ahead the game would have been in production for a year and a bit.

Any good places except CEX to get slightly cheaper move controllers? Assuming they're fairly essential for a good experience?

Aim controller seems out of stock in the UK with lots of stores showing cut prices which often suggests clearing stock. With more games supporting the aim, is there hope for more stock to come, or should I be looking at eBay or used?

Yesterday My girlfriend and I were waking around the mall, and walked by a GameStop. They happened to have PSVR demos going. Waited about 10 minutes and got to try the London heist. Was so dam impressed. Graphics were blurry and not great but within a minute I was fully immersed.

Cut to this morning. Ordered a Skyrim bundle from bestbuy via store pick up. Will pick it up later today. Can't wait to try this in my house and mess with these games.

Seeing is believing!

What were your opinions on VR before you tried it?

I was always very impressed and intrigued by the idea of it. After trying first hand obviously like you said, seeing is believing.

I'm still not sure how much I'll use it, but I think if I treat it as something that I'll play once or twice a week, rather than expecting to play it everyday (like my normal PS4 Pro) then I think I'll have a better outlook on it.

If you haven't checked it out, here is a thread on sword action-RPG Golem's latest info reveal. I played it at the PSX show and think that its very unique input method for traversing the environment helps to make it a ton of fun to play.

tldr; It uses only one Move controller, but your body becomes the missing left analog stick!

Man, after about an hour of Superhot VR yesterday my body is pretty sore today. I guess that means I'm out of shape. :P

Was fun as hell though.

That's the exact right attitude/expectation to have.

I've been hyped for that one since reveal. Was worried it had been cancelled.

Getting a bit more active is a fringe benefit to VR. :)

Strongly considering (impulse)purchasing either the Doom or Skyrim bundle as I have $75 BB credit on top of the sale price. I have a 4K/HDR set, but just the standard PS4(for now). Is it best to just go for the Skyrim setup with the move controllers? I typically do not care for non controller-based gameplay, but if that is the ultimate experience, then so be it. I also have RE7 already to try on it if I buy. Thoughts?

all these bundles that are showing up priced the same seem way better than the psvr trial considering that I fucking hate skyrim, and literally any other game will be a better option

Guys, has this ever happened to you?
Any time i launch a game that supports the move controllers for the first time, the move controllers light just dims dramatically, and they do not appear in the game at all. The controllers work in the regular menu and everything, just not in game. Sometimes starting the game with the ds4 and THEN switching works great. Sometimes nothing will turn them on. Recalibrating, turning everything off and on, make sure i'm logged into the right user.... idk what to do.

It's definitely the best value of the bundles, and it has the v2 headset. Normally not using the DS4 does feel gimmicky but its almost required for Skyrim. You can then play Batman VR, which is also great with the moves. And you can then see how you feel about shooting games (rush of blood and some others have demos on PSN) before shelling out for yet more peripherals.

Let us know how if you get on, if you take the plunge!

How many games do use the Move controllers effectively?

I mean, there are quite a lot of games about now...big ones I have played (Batman VR, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Tumble VR, Skyrim, I expect you to die, job simulator) but I don't have a huge library. I can have a quick Google of other big ones that use it (superhot?).

Edit: London Heist on VR worlds uses them well. And I played Rec Room this weekend, which is free. I haven't played sports bar yet but I think that also uses them.

Superhot yep. Rec Room is another essential (free!) game that needs Moves.

It's crazy how much more immersive VR becomes when you can see your hands in the space around you. It feels like it transforms the experience from a passive viewing to active engagement.

I would not recommend Doom VFR as a first game to play. It has a lot of fast movement which can be causing motion sickness when you don't have VR legs yet. You might be lucky and be able to play VR games with locomotion from the get go but I wouldn't count on it. Doom VFR isn't that great of a game in general, still has some problems that need to be fixed.
In general move controllers are highly recommended so that's a plus for the Skyrim bundle, but even Skyrim can be a tough start. I would suggest you get the Skyrim bundle and get SuperHot VR as a first game. Try some of the demos on the 2 demo discs that are available for free to get a first impression and see what else you might like and what you can stomach.

damn saw Skyrim streams (non VR) and that game looks interesting, I even have it on Steam but the old version but never played it, there are many discounts for the remaster but none for the VR version :/
While I'm sure I'll play the non VR version more I don't want to miss out on the VR version but I can't justify buying both ._. Why couldn't they do a Resident Evil 7... :(

Gamestop and Best Buy have the Gran Turismo Sport bundle for $199. I am tempted but doesn't it have the original headset and not the new one? Was there a difference in screens at all between the two models? Don't really want to spend $350 on the Skyrim bundle. Whicc way should I go?

Yes, the GT bundle has v. 1 of PSVR. I think they're trying to clear stock. I wouldn't bother, unless you have a 1080p set and aren't planning to upgrade in the next couple years. I don't believe there is a difference in the screens, but there is a big difference in terms of HDR passthrough, plus some other convenience-level improvements.

Screens are identical as far as I know. It's just quality of life improvements.

If you don't have a 4K screen, $199 is a great price. Even if you do have a 4K screen it just means no HDR or swapping some cables each time. $199 is almost half the cost of the Skyrim bundle

Hey guys!

I'm a spoiled brat, and so incredibly lucky, because Sony sent us the Skyrim PSVR bundle and it ended up falling into my hands. So obviously I have Skyrim to play, but I've recently put in so many hours into Skyrim on Switch I'm not sure if I can bring myself to start yet another new file.

I'm wondering what you all consider to be the best games to play using the move controllers. I'll probably pick up Superhot. My wife and I also had a lot of fun with the play room. Any can't miss suggestions for me while I'm willing to impulse buy?

I really enjoyed Arizona Sunshine with the moves. But not everyone does.

Batman of course. Ancient Amulator is a good tower defense game that uses the moves well.

Raw Data demo was a lot of fun. Definitely going to check it out when it's cheaper.

Visually, it's one of the poorest I've played, though.

Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood is way better with two Move controllers than with the Dualshock. Batman - oh, definitely, yes.

And, honestly, you should try Skyrim in VR, since you already have it. I put over 150 hours into Skyrim 2D, but actually being there in VR is a whole new experience. It's a bit of a slog going through the tutorial for the nth time, but now that that's past I can't imagine going back to the 2D version. I'm genuinely excited to explore everything I haven't done previously, which in my case means every single guild questline and all the DLC content. And probably more than half the dungeons in the game - I figure I'll have finished my Skyrim VR experience right around the time PSVR 2 comes out in 2019 or 2020...

Before I do anything dumb like scratch my lens,

1) are there anything on them I need to peel off before use or can I wipe away?

2) any benefit using the included ear buds vs my gold wireless headset?

1) there shouldn't be anything.

2) If you use the wireless headset you need to plug it in or you won't get binaural sound. The benefit of the earbuds is you have less plastic shit on your head.
