So you can name a total of two publishers.

Broaden your knowledge base then lol

And Activision owns the Jedi Knight / Academy devs
Because almost all the other Publishers besides maybe Bethesda dont have big Development Studios in their pocket to get something big done like a AAA Star Wars game.

Oh wow they own some devs, so what?

So yeah i dont have to broaden anything, maybe you should check out reality. If all would be so easy we would get SW games left and right like in the early days, but that isnt the case anymore..SHOCKING

A surely focused Studio like Lucas Arts is missing to create and release multiple Star Wars games. I want some new SW RPGs and good Singleplayer games too but its sadly not going to happen. Like i said maye Bethesda, could do one but i dont wanna see SW on outdated tech from the Fallout games etc.
A ID Tech 6 Republic Commando would be something. But yeah that dream is never going to happen

Lets see how the Respawn Game is turning out at least.

There's plenty of non-humans... in the intro and outro sequences on Maz's Castle GA... Weequays and Quarrens at least.

But, yeah, not even having head swaps at launch is pretty lame.

Yeah it's frustrating seeing that they actually have the models for non-humans and yet here we are with no customization options... Really hope we get some word this week about what these big changes they have coming are gonna be.

It's funny and sad to be in a squad of the same class and you all look the same.

EA/DICE have created an environment where progression is dependant on time played and the payouts are low, even after the recent boost. Which means they are encouraging credit farming by resource starving their players.
In most modes, buttons need to be pressed in order to join the game and not be caught idling. However HvV auto-selects characters and requires no button presses. So people are just rubber banding their controller sticks and leaving it running.
The short term bandaid would be to require button input in HvV like in all other modes. The longer term fix would be to eliminate the environment encouraging this behavior in the first place by having a proper progression system that isn't bullshit.

In most games I condemn this kind of unsportsmanlike behavior but DICE basically asked for this one so I've got nothing against the farmers. Exacerbate the problem all you want, maybe it'll encourage them to actually do something about it.

"Pride and accomplishment."

Gotta love playing HvV on PC, no AFK to be found.

Also I don't really get the whole farming situation. Most of the Star Cards suck hard. There are like 10 cards that I find good/fun and that you can craft in 2 hours of playtime.

I have literally never seen an AFK farmer. I must be really lucky.

A lot of people quit though which is annoying.

Pretty much every HvV match I go into on PS4 has farmers in. Usually only two, and usually only on my team but last night there was one on the opposing team. I just quit out, not worth the headache. I've written the mode off until it gets fixed, which is a shame - every mode in this game feels like a potential winner (yes, even GA is fun, even when losing!) so writing the one mode off where you can actually be playing the fun characters is a pretty huge blow. I haven't unlocked a Hero character in forever because in the other modes I prefer to spend my points on stuff that can contribute earlier rather than at the end :(

Unlocked chewbacca, but he's garbage. Why pick him if you can get a wookie warrior for half price?

Also feels great to be two shotted as Kylo by one of those. How they haven't been hotfixed is totally beyond me.

This isn't broken by any means.

Kylo in general needs a buff but yeah the Wookie enforcers are stupidly OP as is.

It's like they hardly playtested / balance tested the game at all.

The LAAT laser straight up does not damage the AAT 90% of the time. It just goes right through. Like how does that make it through QA? That bug is immediately apparent.

Also, siege mode on the AAT doesn't work. Straight up does not fire. Just fires the side cannons.

The increased credits/crafting parts is still not enough, everything is painfully slow in this game when it comes to progression.

the first thing that needs to be nerfed is the wookie warrior.

secondlly, the explosive sentry. i'm standing behind complete cover and the sentry unloads on the cover and it kills me...
since my blurrg with explosive damage cant do the same thing than thats blasphemous.

I'd be ok with heroes getting a health buff across the board. Or they could add some additional damage resistance active only when Force powers are being cast or reduce the casting time of most of the powers.

It's really dumb right now, Luke melts immediately if you Push or Repulse at the wrong time. And it's not like you can be sneaky about it because your position is visible on the radar at all times. And half the time the Force powers don't register hits properly anyways.

As long as heroes don't go back to how they were in Battlefront 1, the amount of damage they could take was absurd. I prefer they make you play smart rather than the unstoppable juggernaughts they were in the first game. Which is also one of the problems with heroes is that people are playing them like the first game, essentially running out in the open charging at armies of players and getting melted. Good, just cause you are a hero doesn't mean you should be running straight at enemies without a care cause you have a gazillion hit points.

I agree you should have to play smart but at the same time, Luke shouldn't have to run back to cover after fighting a single soldier because his HP got melted by a Sentry and his lightsaber and force attacks didn't register on a roll spamming enemy.

And it's hard to flank when you're revealed on the radar at all times. Something needs to be adjusted for sure.

I think Heroes are fine the way they are. Sure some need to be tweaked because they just arent very good but as far as health and impact in the match, they are fine. You still need to play smart to make the most out of the hero, you shouldnt be able to just wade into blaster fire from the whole enemy team and survive. Wookie warriors definitely need to be tweaked though, they are way better than any other special class and shouldnt be able take down a hero so easily.

If they do change the heroes and give them big health buffs, then there should only be one on each team at any time. That means fewer chances to play as a hero for everybody else. If not then you could just load up on heroes in GA whenever you need a big push to capture/defend a point.

You can craft 10 cards (400 crafting parts) in 2 hours of playtime? How?

So apparently a French EA account tweeted saying Phasma and Finn won't cost credits to unlock.

Waiting for more confirmation but that would be a pleasant surprise

I know this is a super unpopular opinion, but I think Jakku is a brilliantly designed map.

However, it's astounding how poorly the GA version makes use of its space. The first two phases are a complete mess, and spawn points and objectives feel like they were just slapped together at random.

But if you make it into the later phases, there's some really neat multilevel design, and the way they made use of a downed star destroyer is so ridiculously cool. I love sneaking around in the sandy corridors and getting under opponents in places where the floor is busted apart and they don't expect it.

The potion you play in HvV might be my favorite part. It's all covered in flags and tarps like a group of scavengers set up camp there. They should have set that as the entrance point to the GA map. They could have thrown down some crates and starfighters (sort of like Dune Sea Exchange from BF2015) and made use of the dunes more in Phase 1.

So phase 1 would have been the dunes outside the West entrance, phase 2 would be the central area, and phase 3 could have either gone toward reactor control or toward the back of the destroyer. No 4th phase needed.

If they would have gone with the reactor control as the final phase, and let you run around the West edge of the star destroyer, vehicles would have made sense on this map.

Agreed. They don't have to be tanks, but their health shouldn't be so low that they're cowardly. I've got more confidence as a heavy class than I do as most heroes, and that sucks.

The lightsaber users need a health boost and some combat tweaks. The gun heroes can keep their distance and do fine for themselves, but the CQC heroes melt like butter in a microwave unless they're taking pot shots from around a corner.

I've been hoarding credits in anticipation. If that's true the come wednesday I got some major spending to do.

I'm close to hitting 170,000. I just decided to stop spending completely for a while to see what happens with progression. But once the new heroes show up, i'm Probably going to hit Hero crates like mad.
Holy shit. And here I thought I was a higher roller at around 40k saved. Come Wednesday you can pretty much hit the "win" button with all that cash!

I'm going to be hitting the hero crates after the update too.

Haha! Yeah. I did a huge amount of the milestones, and i've been playing quite a bit.

I'm going to make a video about all the stuff i get and compare it with those people who spent $100 during the early access period.

Are we assuming crates will be drastically different after the update then?

Also, why pick heroes if you can easily go on a 35+ killstreak with the blurg? And have 35k in BP sitting in your bank.

Anyone got any Starfighter Assault tips?

-try to stay around objects in the level, they usually give you a better opportunity to shake an attacker.

-stay around your team as its more likely that someone will assist when you get locked into a loop-de-loop battle

-Use your special abilities, the Y-wing and the Clone Fighter (I forget the name) have a turret that will shoot enemies around and behind you, on several occasions the damage these things do has been enough to discourage a pursuer. Speed burst ability and navigating through and around objects is usually a pretty good way to loose somebody.

-Play your role. If you are a bomber, focus on doing bombing runs on objects but obviously try to stay alive and kill other fighters if you have to. Fighters are probably best used for taking down enemy bombers and interceptors, with their high speed and fast rate of fire are best utilized in protecting bombers.

-Playing as hero ships puts a huge bullseye on your ass, especially the more distinctive ships like Slave 1 and the Falcon make sure you learn their defensive measures. Luring a group of attackers into a narrow area with the Slave 1 and then releasing the seismic charge can take out multiple attackers.

-Slowing down allows the ship to make its tightest turn but leaves you pretty vulnerable to other ships coming at you from a distance.

I'm around 40K as well, having run through the campaign (collectibles incomplete though), one-starred the solo arcade missions, several hours of multiplayer, a few hours of arcade, and some challenges completed here and there. No heroes purchased yet.
