I live in Finland and it's been snowing since October and this thread is like someone came up to me and asked if I'm fine with all this oxygen.

Snowing here in the Netherlanda last time in the state (near The Hague) i live was quite a while ago, last year was mostly wet snow only. So it's nice to see some proper snow and snowing again.

Only thing is the busses, trains, planes and trams always have problems here when weather gets bad wich is a shame really, since in other countries it's mostly handled fine and right preperations are made on time to avoid huge delays.

I love snowy landscapes. The world is so quite. When the sun shines it is so bright as well. Really comfortable. Only bad part is when it melts :(

It rains. Nothing ever happens here, even snow apparently. No storm. No seism. No volcano. Good.

Where is snow?

Some lighter snow with some rain here in the south of Finland.

I wish it would snow a bunch already I want to go sledding with my daughter. But from what it seems this might be the norm for the winter. Snow definitely helps brighten the short days and long dark nights.

Every lazy cunt that doesn't bother to clear their car roof before setting off needs a swift kick in the nuts. Especially with it being so deep.

Plenty of snow up here in Dalarna, with more to come. As it should be. Snow is our ally. It keeps the Dane and the Geat away.

Lots of snow un Belgium too. They actually advise not to take the roads today (scandinavians would probably laugh at this, as there is maybe 5 cm of snow)

Has been at least 5 years since it was like this.

Plenty of times in the US I saw full sheets of ice from the roof of cars sliding off with the wind on to incoming traffic, as well as a flurry of snow blowing from it. I completely agree.

I'll up it one more tho. Only in Troy NY did I ever experience the wrath of me shoveling my car out nicely, clearing sidewalks, while most neighbors would not, and saw cars rock themselves out of the snow where they were parked to park on the clear spot I had just shoveled. The fury. They didn't shovel at all... just go park where it's already nice and clear.

Glad this doesn't happen where I am at so far. Finland seems to be pretty good at adding the gravel and sand everywhere, and they keep the roads nice and clear. I don't stumble on my way to anywhere because people didn't shovel their sidewalks. So good.

It was my daughter's first snowfall so took her outside to play.

She just walked around in the snow totally mesmerized by it. Shame it has already pretty much all gone now because of this morning's rain.

We have patches of grass showing in Oulu, Finland. And it's about 0 degrees centigrade at the moment. Fine by me, hate the snow with all of my being.

1000 km of traffic jams in Belgium at the moment (officialy: highways where speed is below 50km/h). Lol. Rush hour tonight will be a disaster. I hope my evening class gets cancelled because of it, because I don't feel like going out in this. (School is a bikeride away, so it's not the traffic jam, but the slush and cold and snow I'd like to avoid :P)

When it snowed to weeks ago it was the only day of the month I had to work away from home, and it took me 3 hours to drive 30km. Just my luck.

Yeah I'm glad I don't have to drive that far from work. Whenever there's snow in Belgium, it's disaster central. It's normally a 10 min. drive home but I'm expecting it to take 45 minutes this evening. It's really coming down.

Snowing right now in Linköping, Sweden. Not that bad, though. Also, snow in December is a-okay, it's after New Year's that it should GTFO.

Snowed a bit here (north-western Italy), like 3-4 cm, yet still it causes an incredible amount of traffic. And I live in a small city.

Yup, it seems it has no intention of stopping too. Been snowing for hours here, and the snow on the street (there isn't much traffic in my neighbourhood, as it's all dead-end streets) is in places almost as high as the elevated sidewalk now.

The client I'm working at today is closing down at noon because of the snow. They're expecting like 10-15 cms where I'm at today.

Seems like the snow wanted to stay in the North. Nothing here in Western Austria. Yesterday it's been quite windy and slightly below zero, which isn't really that nice. Today the foehn wind is even stronger, but it's +10°C already (and supposed to go up to +15°C), so that's something.

Ha, as a German native speaker, I can somewhat understand what you wrote there. "On days like these it's nice to work from home. (Well, that's always the case.)", if I read that correctly ;)

Right now there's a traffic jam of 1.300 km total in Belgium. Holy fuck

I am in Switzerland and we had a lot of snow but it's just been raining for the last 24 hours solid and the snow is slowly being washed away, until it snows again in a couple of days I assume!

We got rid of all the snow with a nice bout of warmer rain yesterday, and now it's been snowing again all morning so it's back, ugh.

It's lunchtime and I have to walk to the supermarket in a bit lest I go hungry.

Haha, exactly. I wanted to add the hashtag #nopantsinthehomeoffice, but refrained as I actually do wear pants while working. In winter at least.

Snow is coming thicker and thicker here by the way. Just got an email a courier is bringing a package I ordered, and now I feel slightly guilty.

Sleet here in Central London. So much traffic and residual heat/pollution that any snow melts pretty quickly. School across the road isn't in I believe. Can't hear any screaming children.
