I watched some clips on YouTube for end of Zoe and it looks like garbage.

I thought they were aiming for more horror? This just looks like a bad Comdemned-spinoff

If this is how EoZ turned out as their main closing bit of DLC, I'm not holding much hope for Not a Hero when that seemed to have a rushed and troubled development. Same with where they want to take the series.

I got no words. Some people said the dlc was kinda bad so i wanted to check the beggining of it, realized that the video was only one hour long and watched the whole thing.

Where's the meaty horror themed dlc ? No horror, bad action, short as hell and they did the smartest thing bringing Jack back but in that stupid form where he can't even talk shit to you, they got rid of the thing that made Jack so awesome and then they killed him AGAIN.

What the fuck happened.

Don't even know if i wanna play NaH after that.

So both are shit? Or just EoZ? Definitely not spending 15 bucks on Zoe (I was waiting for impressions), but I'll wait and play Chris myself.

I'll honestly take REmake 2 over all this, really curious what direction they'll take with that.

Imagine if they have three options you can choose from before starting the game.

1.) the classic Resident Evil style

2.) Resident Evil 5 / 6 style

3.) Resident Evil 7 style

I wouldn't even be mad if you had the option to choose.

Not a Hero isn't even up yet right? Didn't leak since it's not on the disc.
The reception at PSX seems to be good. Seems we're in for a better DLC that's free than the paid one.

Also make a spoiler thread.

That wouldn't work at all. I mean you could manage two of them half assed, but no way you could do three in one like that and have it be anything remotely coherent

Oh no, these End of Zoe impressions are horrible! I bought the Season Pass just for this DLC (everything else was "meh" to "garbage"). It sounds so bad/disappointing! ;(

Also, on a different subject, I've mentioned this before, but Capcom has been going crazy with their retro collections lately. We now literally have almost every classic Mega Man, Street Fighter, and DMC game ever made coming to (or already available on) modern platforms.

Sooo... where's my RE1-3 and Dino Crisis 1-2 Legacy Collections, Capcom!? Do they think the games are just too old and fugly for people to want to buy 'em nowadays? I know the backgrounds (DC1 excluded) would look blurry and beyond horrible, and the characters are just a crude, blocky collection of polygons, but I'd still pay good money just to have those games on modern system. They're still a lot of fun to play to me, fugly or not.

I replayed 2 and 3 on emulator last year, the characters look alright but the backgrounds are just a mass of giant pixels at this point. They still release the PS1 FFs though so there's no reason why not

Man just looking at that title screen and the music is giving me a real urge to start another playthrough but I've already got like 8 games on the go at the moment. I still haven't finished Wolfenstein TNO that I started like a month ago

So the new Icons related to the DLC have some spoilers to them on residentevil.net

Also, the new residentevil.net support for End of Zoe (No support for not a hero besides ranking times) is seeing what weight Joe will weigh.
Between his melee attacks and eating food. The game will determine what he gains and how much he burns lol.

The end of Zoe playthrough people are freaking out was apparently the persons second playhtrough and he knew we're everything was and how to fight everything. First run is supposedly a good deal longer.

Some general observations on Joe (Not really spoilery but i'll spoil it just in case)
Really love his character. Far more emotive then Ethan (which was my main gripe with the game) He's really angry though. Like Doom levels of angry (Fits well with ripping people apart with his hands) Don't know we're he gets his strength though.Maybe hunting Gators?

Jesus these DLC impressions are breaking my heart

I'm still morbidly curious and want to form my own opinion on them I guess tho

Not like they're huge time investments or anything

Their just completely different in that with Ethan you have survial horror, but with EoZ and Not a Hero, it turn into full action game, kind of like with Hunk scenario in RE2.

Hmm well we all knew NaH was meant to be full on action, but I sorta thought EoZ was going for a slower pace like the main game. Then again all I saw for EoZ was character/cutscene shots and barely any gameplay

So basically proves RE7's framework doesn't support this sort of gameplay well huh?

Shame, the Nightmare DLC was pretty actiony and was a nice little CoD Zombies knock-off that was fun

Oh God, RE7 was one of my favorite experiences this year. The DLC had me hyped like nothing else. Kills me to hear they did a bad job with both episodes. Ugh. Will still try to make the best of it in VR.

I'm playing RE7 for the first time now (currently I'm during a certain boss fight right after Lucas' test rooms) and I have very mixed feelings about the game. The puzzles are fun, the atmosphere is great (sans the Saw-like Lucas section - not really fan of that; I want my RE to be zombie/monster oriented, not some torture porn), I love to be finally intrigued by a RE story and it's good to have a major location that you constantly return to.

However, one thing I can say for sure - the fighting/shooting sucks. Ethan is slow as fuck and takes his sweet time responding to button presses: blocking, ducking, healing, reloading; and if someone attacks you during the healing animation - whelp, there goes your healing item. Low FOV makes noticing enemies around you hard. Molded are very dark (black texture all over their body) and usually appear in very dark places, meaning that with the recommended brightness level you can easily miss them (happen to me few times where I only noticed one when he was already attacking me). The hit detection is very... weird, meaning sometimes I can kill a molded with only two shoots to the head with normal handgun bullets, other times it survives two shotgun headshots. :|

And I heard that the last third of the game is mostly a shooting gallery, which, given my opinion on that part of the gameplay, doesn't sound good.
