Now we all know that TLOU II is currently what ND are busy with, but do we have any idea at all (from job vacancies, interviews, etc) what their next project is?

Also, their team is pretty big and they do run two projects simultaneously, so maybe they already are working on something.

They are done with Uncharted, they probably might not make another sequel to TLOU II (this is just a guess), so what is next? And if we don't know, what would you love for them to do next?

My personal preference lies between a Buddy Cop Game or a Marvel Project.

A Buddy Cop Game akin to movies like Lethal Weapon, Bad Boys and The Nice Guys. ND already are great at characters and writing, so a game with such a tone they would easily nail.

On the flipside, imagine seeing a Punisher game being made by ND...

My own personal preference, if ND next game is an FPS exclusive, might wont play it, even if it's good.

I still could play it, but that's if I really want to; big IF that is.

RPG Sci-fi a la Mas Effect, no need to be open like Andromeda
That would be a dream

None of those poll options. Would like a game in a more interesting setting, maybe something kind of similar to the Bioshock universe, only with ND gameplay.

Would love a new Jak game, but failing that... Something sci-fi-ish could be good?

Where is the "new IP outside of the mentioned genres" option? Voted for the last option as placeholder. Not interested in them going the FPS route and especially not a Marvel game...
I could live with a scifi scenario, but hope for something else.

So, basically, you might not play a thing unless you really want to. And that's a big if.

Erm, isn't that the case with every game? Or are you obligated to play non-FPS games for some strange reason :)

Whatever they feel like, i trust them.
But if i at least get to choose the setting, something space themed would be extra juicy.

Something new and different enough from their latest games.

Uncharted has run its course already (to me) and not every game need to be part of a trilogy.

Uncharted JRPG with cyberpunk elements and Marvel characters

Ultimate Era game, the game to end all games.

Personal choice would be a crime drama like the Al Pacino/De Niro movies

Something scifi could be interesting, but I think they'd also could do very interesting things with a historical setting.

I really like how they are improving their narrative and their despictions of realistic characters, so I would like them to work on a project that allows them to give their take on ordinary, real world problems and issues no matter the setting, like Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us allowed them to.

Getting more concrete, I want them to combine Sharpest Objects with Silent Hill and create an introspective narrative game that is also built on the basis of a less action oriented TLoU gameplay.

There are way too few story-heavy big budget scifi games around, so that

I would like a new IP, but whatever they make I will be there day one. I'm sure we will get another Uncharted at some point and it wouldn't surprise me if they have a smaller team working on another Uncharted like Lost Legacy for PS5. If there is another The Last Us, let them wait on that for a while, similar to what they have done with 1 and 2.

Personally, I have always loved the idea of a Savage Starlight game. It would be such a different setting for them. A Naughty Dog Sci-Fi space game just sounds amazing to me.

No, I said I still could play any FPS games, but that's if I really really want to.

But most chances currently are no.

Not my favorite genre also.

EDIT:

It's also why I never play RE7.

If 8 first-person exclusive again, I'll skip it too.

Anything as long as they keep doing linear story driven games. Fed up of bloated open world games one after another.

I think Uncharted got the perfect ending and I wouldnt mind if they left it alone and moved on to something else, I hope the same for the Last of Us Part 2. Then they can go and do a sci-fi game.

I think they proved again with U4 that they can create compelling side characters that follow the main player around, so a buddy cop game set in 90s LA would be neat.

"Sci-fi" is such a broad genre. It could literally mean any kind of futuristic setting. We'll have some heavy hitting Sci-fi games next gen too with CyberPunk and Starfield. I trust Naughty Dog to do something to stand out in a over-saturated market, hell they managed to do it with Zombies, but I'd like them to do something unique. I don't know what that is specifically, but i think they have the luxury of being brave and taking a risk.

But... 80's buddy cop please.

A third person cinematic mafia drama adventure.

Or. A third person cinematic adventure that is stylized like a high production Japanimation movie.
