Not only did they suggest it, but in the latest patreon update they said they're editing it. So yes, it's coming. They're also planning to watch a certain movie next week.

I wonder what ever could it be.

I really hope they do a Nerd Crew for that Ready Player One trailer. Seeing all the pop culture cameos had me thinking about Rich Evans yelling STAR DESTROYERRRRRRS!

Unfortunate that they thought TDA was just middle of the road. I'll still watch it one day.

I just got hole from the Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas and watched a triple feature Room-a-palooza with Greg Sestero in attendance!

-The Room
-The Disaster Artist
-Best Friends

WOW! What a marathon! Started at 1pm and ended around 7pm. The Disaster Artist was good, but the book/ audio book was better.

Best Friends was a nuts film and clearly carried the DNA of The Room. Everyone was shocked at the end when it was revealed to be Part One of a 2-Part series! Yes, Best Friends (Volume One) ends on a cliffhanger! The Alamo promised that they will be doing a double feature in 2018 of both parts with both Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero in attendance.

It's too bad they didn't like The Disaster Artist. lol

It's funny though, after listening to Maron's interview with Falco, I think I like the guy way more than I used to. He's pretty self-aware, if nothing else.

I am not surprised they didn't like it. Have they ever liked something with James Franco and Seth rogan in a leading role with their friends? Curious. Because they seem like the guys who dislike their particular brand of on the nose comedy.

Comparing James Franco attempt to be funny with what they consider to be the very best of Tim Burton is kind of brutal tbh.

It sounds like a combo of their love for the Room/the book The Disaster Artist mixed with the fact that they just rewatched Ed Wood and its one of their favorites of all time so they keep comparing the two. They don't mention the comedy itself as bad, just that it wasn't what they expected from an adaptation of the book yeah?

I think the problem was the fact that Franco and crew enjoyed the source material (The Room) more than the actual story of the making of the Room (The Disaster Artist).

At the Alamo showing last night, Greg mentioned that Franco and crew filmed over 30 minutes of reinactnent of The Room, despite very little of that footage actually showing up in the final product.

I mentioned it during the Q&A after the show that the film ignores a ton of Tommy's backstory (in Eastern Europe, Paris, working in San Francisco on the piers, ect...). It also glosses over a lot of their drama over the 2-3 years leading up to the actual making of The Room. It was a fine film, but the book/audiobook is far superior. Had they taken time to show the audience who Tommy really is and how he got to this point, it would have been more insightful and compelling. In this respect, I think this film would have worked better had it been more like The Social Network— the narrative flashing between two time periods. Show drama on the set of The Room and then flashback to a relivant real-life situation between Greg and Tommy that mirrors that drama.

There is only one instance where anything like this is actually address, and it's only very quickly and more or less a throwaway line. The cast and crew are having a lunch break and Robyn Paris (Michelle) says she thinks The Room is autobiographical— that there is a real version of Lisa, Mark, and Denny in Tommy's life.

I'm picking up the book on Wednesday, all this talk about how much better the book is has gotten me intrigued.

But I also just started playing BotW (not that BotW), so I don't know exactly how much reading I'll do on the break.

I've been browsing multi-packs of low-budget movies a lot lately and I ran across a pack with The Sweeper at Fry's. I bought that shit so fast. $5.57

Looking forward to The Last Jedi HitB. Impressions seem to be pretty positive, and I'm wondering what they think about the direction of the franchise now. TFA basically did what it needed to do to introduce the new cast and setting, but it's up to TLJ to redefine itself.

Also I just realized they never did a Stranger Things Season 2 review. I suppose they don't want to establish they will just review any TV show, but considering how different ST2 is compared to the first season, I was hoping to hear their thoughts.
