Well shit. I was saving my credits for Finn and Phasma. Looks like I'm going to loot box city then.
Also, I gotta say, even underpowered, the flame trooper is really fun to play with. Burning up folks is a blast.

Been doing the same since the start of the TLJ season on the 5th. think I'm sitting at 45,000ish credits. I'm going to hang on to mine until the 13th, just in case. Right now its just one tweet through EA France saying this, so there is a chance some wires could have been crossed somewhere down the line.
Try team deathmatch or strike. With the specialist, if you suck with the sniper rifle try to just get kills with the infiltration mode gun. Its good for flanking people and does a lot of damage.
My worst class as well. I got the 50 kills all right though, I'm an xbox player, but should not make a difference. Play Blast, and just don't rush into battle, keep back, stay in cover and pick people off where you can.
Keep the Thermal Binoculars equipped. Use them to see hostiles through walls, really helps with finding good targets without leaving cover. (and keeping people from sneaking up on you)

Of course it was. Not surprised at all. So they WILL cost credits at the very least, why else would you delete the tweet?
Is it really the most efficient use of credits to get star cards to only buy hero crates (several Youtubers say this)? The theory (and it seems quite popular) is that you quickly level up your heroes which makes them/your ultimate endgame more powerful, better, whatever, frequently get 1 card that will be for a trooper, and start quickly amassing bonus credits from the spares to buy more crates with.
The problem is that this gives you credits, not salvage, meaning you are still not getting many actual star cards to use on your trooper classes. Anyways, it's a shame trooper crates are so expensive - they seem overpriced in the long run given a GOOD match nets you 400ish and that means 10 games for one crate.

They're priced that way on purpose since troopers are who you spend the most time on, and DICE wanted to push people towards spending that sweet sweet $$$$$ on Crystals to advance their main classes.
If you buy Hero crates you can just save the 35 - 50 crafting parts you get per crate and put it towards whatever trooper cards you want, instead of having to rely on RNG from trickle-fed Trooper crates.
Plus you do get Trooper cards from Hero crates.

After I bought ~25 crates I've just been hoarding my credits waiting on this update; I was assuming everything other than the map in this update would have some sort of credit cost (heroes, ship, etc). Only waiting to see what the costs are before doing some more tier 3 upgrading.
Still can't get over how long it takes to get 450 crafting parts (one epic) that 120 to 450 jump is insane for some of the marginal upgrades. Throw in the fact that I now need to spend parts on cards I won't use in order to level my hero to level 20 (unlock epic crafting).
Funnily enough the big giant red dot that you get as a hero makes it insanely easy for people to hunt you down with speederbikes. Just going to hold onto that BP - there's always at leadt one asshat doing it.

The crafting part costs to go from rare to epic are not at all worth it for like 90% of cards. I already mostly have tier 3 cards of the cards I actually use/care about. I'll probably craft some starfighter cards to help out with my milestone grind there, but for the most part I've already been set for weeks on cards/parts, and I've gone days at a time without playing other than logging in for the daily crate and maybe getting the Arcade credits. The progression is still total garbage, but I made a post like ~10 days after launch saying I already felt that I had totally mitigated the progression and had the level 3 cards I wanted, and that still stands. I'll still have well over 100k credits after I craft level 2/3 cards on a handful of the starfighter assault ones I want. I guess I might craft something for whatever slot the AT-AT/AT-ST uses? /shrug

What's the name of the heroes vs villains map where there is a series of walkways (sort of circular with a beam of light in the middle) at one side of the map and you can force push people to their death? Loved doing that but the name of the map escapes me.

Naboo docking bay or whatever... which makes me wonder. Why are there HvV maps that aren't usable in the other 'small' modes? Blast and Strike could use the extra maps and most of the ones I've seen in HvV don't seem like they'd be unworkable for those modes or anything.
Smarter to wait anyway, since you'll most likely get cards for Finn and Phasma from those crates if you wait
Starting to love the alt-fire for the TL-50 (Improved Cooling + Charged Shot). I was underwhelmed at first but its surprisingly useful - Fighting at a choke point? A sniper behind cover giving you grief? Lob in a few charged blasts, plus there's no damage drop off so range isn't a factor. The cha-ching when you nail a hidden sniper is so satisfying. I thought I'd miss the Reduced Recoil mod but it doesn't make much difference under 20m where the TL-50 is optimal and, with the improved cooling mod, you only use half your heat per charge. Only drawback is that you can't use it at the same time as the personal shield.
Also loving the Blurrg with Improved Burst and Explosive Shot. Aim at the knees at the knees and the recoil means that it pretty much one-shots non-Heavies. Even shielded Heavies still take decent damage since the explosions go around the shield. Because of the heat build-up, I think this would combo well with the Expert Handling star card for the extra duration on the cooling buff but I don't have it on my Officer yet.
Going to see how the Ion Shot on the FMWBK goes next. I'm kinda hoping that Ion Shot won't completely gimp weapons by 50% like it did in BF2015, I'd be happy to drop trooper damage by 10-15% if it meant being able to give AAT's and Starfighter point farmers grief. That said, I don't like the FMWBK in general but its the only one I have Ion Shot for so if its useful I might grind it for the A280-CFE (I find the dual zoom worthless with burst mode equipped).
For those interested in such things, there's a thread on the Symthic forums for gun statshere. It looks like they're not going to do any tables for SWBF2 like they did for Battlefield and BF2015 but its still useful info.

I really hope so. It's seriously high time at this point. It's crazy how long it's taken. Imo we STILL aren't getting nearly enough credits for each match. It takes forever.
I just stopped playing cause it takes forever. Starting to doubt I'll never return, getting interested in other games. I hope TLJ gets me hyped again, can't believe tomorrow night is the premiere.

Man I really do not like playing as the First Order or Resistance. Not only are their maps bad, but they are boring too.
I like the First Order because they are very shiny like an iPod.
Opened four hero crates. Got the same card for Kylo four times in a row (duplicates ftw).
