Not sure if this is the best place to post this question but I'm really not sure where to start looking for a solution for my issue.

I have the Sony HT-CT350 soundbar that was hooked up to my Sony KDL46 and it was working perfectly. I recently bought the Sony X900E and hooked up my soundbar the same way (HDMI 3 and Optical input) but now, I have a delay between image and sound. It's very annoying but I don't know what else I should try to fix this.

Any tips? Thanks Era!

Does any one know of or anticipate sales on the B7 and C7 after Christmas? I would hate to buy one this week and then it drop $400.

On page 49 of this: https://docs.sony.com/release//HTCT350_EN_FR_ES.pdf, it shows a way to adjust audio/video delay.

When using a blue-ray player or game console along with a soundbar, sometimes splitting the audio and video connections could work, like having an optical cable go from one of those devices to the soundbar.

A lot of things could cause a delay problem though.

What's the best and safest way to clean an OLED?

I actually bought a TV cover which I put on when not in use to minimize dust but still want to clean smudges and whatnot every now and then.

Mine is spotless atm so I only used a microfiber cloth to clean a minor smudge my dad left when he helped me set up the TV on my stand.

I just set up my PS4 pro and this is very confusing.
What does this mean and how do I make changes to get the best I can get out of my TV?
I have the LG OLED55B7V

I also had problems with yellow tint on my C7, a thick horizontal line of yellow tint wich could only be noticed when viewing white content, such as snow or clouds. So I knew I wouldn't be happy accepting this and now I am waiting for my X930E to arrive this tuesday!

Hope you enjoy it, love mine. Biggest problem is the blooming & viewing angles. I got rid of blooming mostly with an LED strip I stuck to the back. I also customized Android OS a lil bit to improve performance. Pretty happy with the performance.

Also be sure to set local dimming and xtended extreme both to high, apps and inputs all have their own settings.

Always use distilled water and a microfibre cloth. If there is fingerprint grease, creams and whatnot, add a drop of Dawn dish detergent and swirl your microfibre in and then squeeze it dry/wet.

I always have three cloths. One that is a dry grab at the start to grab loose dust just sitting on the screen. Little to no pressure, just clinging dust on screen as I gently swipe/drag across. Then comes the liquid wipe. Ie. Either wet with distilled water or with a little dawn detergent (one drop in a saucepan) etc. Clean tbe entire screen. Don't worry about streaks. Then a clean dry microfibre with good pressure up and down or side to side to keep the screen clean. Works perfectly ever time. No harsh chemicals, no scratches etc. My final microfibre is almost always high quality and plush.

Go to TV settings and enable HDMI Deep Colour for the HDMI port your PS4 Pro is plugged into.

Good timing for that discussion/post, because I did that and my LG 55B7 can't handle it. I lose signal every few minutes and the picture in general is noisy.
I read somewhere that I should start the Ps4 Pro in safe mode and switch to "Use HDCP 1.4 only", but that didn't help.

Does anyone have other suggestions?

Thanks that worked. Just tried Horizon after I posted and got message it will only display 2K. But then I read your comment and changed it and it works.

It also seems I get good 5.1 DTS through the ARC connection to my reciever after checking that on my PS4 audio settings so looks like I dont have to spend 600$ on a new reciever just yet. I wasnt sure it would work properly before so I have almost bought a new receiver twice the last week. Now I might last a few months more until I run out of HDMI ports on my TV. Only one left and that will be for my PC or an Apple 4K TV if I buy one.

Should work with no problem, all I can say is try different cables.

Angola / Zaire border region.
This is a shot in the dark, but does anyone here have any experience gaming on Xiaomi TVs? My GF got a pretty good deal on the 49 inch Xiaomi 4A TV (RMB ¥1999 during the 12/12 sales promotion on Taobao). Our current TV is pretty shit, so I'm certain this will be an upgrade, but I'm wondering what the general reputation there is for this line, if any. I'm hoping to calibrate the TV for the best possible gaming experience with my OG PS4 and Switch... anyone have any experience with these sets, or else any general advice about setting up a TV for gaming?

I got my 65X930E mounted and set up, so I thought I'd share my thoughts. A few notes:
- I'm coming from a Samsung PN60F5300 plasma. It's one of the last plasmas they made, and was regarded as a great bang-for-the-buck set, especially for watching movies in a dark setting. Unfortunately…
- My great room has floor-to-ceiling windows that face west. Because of this, there's a big section of the day where the room is quite bright, and a couple of hours where the TV gets a few shafts of direct sunlight. With the plasma, this made the picture quite washed out / completely unwatchable, depending on how bright the day got.

Installation:
- This set is heavy for an LCD, around 80lbs. The plasma was 60, and I assumed that the 930 would be lighter… good thing I checked the weight before I took it out of the box! Build quality seems great, with a bigger ratio of metal to plastic, etc.
- The wire routing / stand solution is really nice, but I wall-mounted it.

Overall Picture:
- Bright. One of the reasons I went with the 930 was its reputation as a "light cannon," hoping to out-bright the sun. Even on SDR content, this thing does that and then some - we've had a couple very bright days, and the direct sunlight that rendered the plasma unusable is only slightly noticeable on the 930.
- The F5300 didn't have the absolute lowest black levels of any plasma, but it was leaps and bounds over the LCDs I had seen at the time. The 930 smokes it. In anything but a pitch-black room, the perceived contrast is far better, and I get absolutely none of the washed-out feeling that I've associated with LCDs. This was one of the main concerns that I had with this set: I'd stuck with plasma for a decade because I'm a stickler for dark blacks, and wondered if this would be a step back. My feeling is this: if you're a plasma person, unless you had one of the absolute-best models, the 930 won't disappoint…and even then, the brightness may counteract it.
- Motion seems great. I don't perceive ghosting, trails, etc.
- As others have noted, less-than-1080p content will likely look worse on this set than a good 1080p one. I sit ~10ft away, and I can see more image artifacts than I remember noticing on the plasma. I doubt that the 5-inch size increase is a big factor…but I also may be scrutinizing content that I normally wouldn't have! :)
- The top and bottom edges are slightly darker than the rest of the image, but it's pretty benign.
- I'm still playing with some of the picture settings, but I find it interesting that many seem to crank up the X-tended Dynamic Range and Auto Local Dimming options; for me it seems to introduce a ton of noise, especially on streaming content. Right now I've got them on Medium.

Gaming:
- So far, I've only used my PC with it. I had been DSRing the heck out of stuff on the plasma with a 1080ti, but going to true 4k is just plain different. There's a…solid-ness to everything that is a bit hard to describe.
- The plasma had input lag of ~70ms, so the 930 is a clear upgrade. I'd gotten pretty used to the lag (hey, I was able to get the "Speedlunky" achievement with it!), so it'll actually take some adjustment.
- Playing Rocket League in the 1080p/120hz mode feels like cheating, after playing at 60fps for so long. Everything is easier to time, tracking the ball is quicker, etc.
- I'm really glad I no longer have to think about burn-in, as I did with the plasma.

Interface:
- As reported, the Android interface is awful. Jerky, slow, just generally painful. Can't even stand to use it to look at 4k YouTube stuff.
- Switching between different picture modes is a many-button affair. Super inconvenient.
- I'm using a Harmony Hub to run the whole system, and the 930's "WiFi control" absolutely plays hell with other devices, to the point of causing weird issues like shutting off the TV when changing the volume on a Denon receiver. If you use this system, turn off the WiFi control and just go with regular infrared.

All-in-all, it's a pretty impressive set. If anyone has any questions, fire away!

You use the Action Guide button right to go in to the picture settings? That way you could skip some steps..

Finally got my LG55C7

The image is pretty wonderful damn, wasn't expecting it really coming from plasmas. OLED really is the next real leap in TV tech. I'm loving the WebOS compared to all the crap android smart TV's I've used before.

Now that the X900E is calibrated... my goodness what a steal.

It's truly a marvel after professional calibration. I still can't get over how good 1080p blu-ray content looks on it...I mean it's much better than most of the 4K content on Netflix. This is also the first tv where I don't have to constantly fiddle with the picture settings because of crushed blacks or some other shit. All I have to do is switch between Custom and Game picture modes depending on whether I'm playing or watching movies and then I can just sit back and enjoy. Hard to believe how crisp and clear the picture can be coming from the banding mess that was LG C7 OLED.

So I got the Samsung MU8009 and I'm loving it so far. But what confuses me is that I can't enable the gaming mode. For none of my consoles. The option is always grey'd out. Why is that? What exactly does gaming mode do and is it important.
Appreciate your help Era

Disables picture processing so that you get lower input lag. Have you tried labelling the input as Console or Pc?

Local dimming to high just lowers the overall brightness - same zones as medium. If you set xtend range to high it will clip bright Details and introduce blooming. I turn it of completely for non HDR. But i use colour vibrancy on low. And colour 52.

great TV so far, without the faults I had with the C7. I'm going to miss the perfect blacks but the brightness alone does this X930E justice!

What setting is best for motion?

That happened to me with a cheap HDMI switch that I got. I connected directly to the TV and had no issues. I recently connected to my new receiver and also had no issues. So it's either your cable or something in between.

I've had my X900E for about two months now and it's been great. Have had an interesting time trying to test how far HDR goes with what's available to me(sorely wish it supported YouTube HDR). Is it worth it to get his thing professionally calibrated? I've been reading up on it and many places seem to suggest the different won't be that huge and it may even look worse to my untrained eyes. Only service I see readily available for me is the geek squad service. Anyone have any experience using that, in particular for an HDR tv?

Anybody who has the yellow tint on OLED B7 has it gotten better over time?

I have a bar across top 3rd of screen and while no one else in the house can see it I know it'll drive me nuts eventually.

Mine is all the way to the left side and only visible in all white bg or certain full colors. It's really strange what colors make it show up. It's only about 3-4 inches wide from the edge so it's not really noticeable most of the time unless I'm looking for it. After using my set for about a week. It seems a bit lighter? I read that this might be a result for the anti-reflective coating that caused it and I'm not really sure if you can wipe it off. Not even sure which side this tint is on.

Yeah mine is on white images I've tried warm cool all different settings, everything else is perfect no dead pixels no vertical banding and uniformity is great. Swapping could get me some of those issues I'm not sure what to do. Ideally I can wipe the anti-reflective coating off and I'd be happy.

Anyone else waiting for HDMI 2.1 sets before replacing their 1080p set(s)?

4K alone never wowed me. My thinking is that HDMI 2.1 will bring together and standardize a group of changes that WILL wow me: HDR10+, VRR, eARC and low latency. HDR, in my opinion, is a much bigger deal than 4K and it's really in it infancy, only really being available on TVs for 2 years now. Every year we are seeing big jumps in color gamut coverage and peak brightness. For instance, look at how many more 10-bit sets are out this year compared to last.

I'm normally in the camp of "If you wait for tech to improve, you'll never buy anything".... but we *know* what HDMI 2.1 is bringing in the next year or two and we *know* some of these new technologies like HDR and OLED are going to mature a lot.

I think the solution to that is to avoid buying high end. I had a 55" C7, and I switched to a 65" 900E. It's not as good of a panel, but the extra screen size is really nice, and it would have cost me another $1000 to get a 65" C7. By banking that, I can get a new mid-range TV in a few years. I came from a 42" AQUOS that is over ten years old, so anything is an improvement at this point. Also, part of the reason I switched away from the C7 was concern over burn in issues, a couple more years will provide more data in terms of OLED reliability.

The other part of it is that it takes time for manufacturers to incorporate all of the features. HDMI 2.1 supports variable refresh rates, but do any of your devices? I think we'll see some early support, but I don't think we'll see the benefits of HDMI 2.1 until the next gen of consoles are out in a few years. You'll be waiting on new bluray players, chromecasts, etc.

Yea, not worth waiting for especially since they might be expensive when they debut. I'll always wait for the tech to mature more before I jump into any expensive electronics.

I'm actually amazed at how low the input lag is using the Game preset for the LG B7A. I tried playing some Halo last night and had no issues and I'm used to playing it on my 24" BenQ monitor which is made for esport tournaments.

It's like night and day when I switched it to another mode. Really excited to get into OW and see how I do with this set compared to my Vizio Game Mode.

Well, that's kind of my point. I don't believe the current 4K HDR sets are mature. So I'm waiting. I'm guessing that it will only be 2 years at the most and my 1080P TV and projector are just fine until then.

I think the 4K HDR tech is pretty good now. Still not mainstream like 1080p atm but def worth getting into if you have the budget and want to upgrade.

Yea, showed HDR notification for me when I watched it on B7A. That lil icon in top right, right?

Try other videos in that channel. I know for sure others also showed HDR for me.
