Disappointing on all sides. PS4 can't even crack above 90k on its biggest holiday week, Switch can't crack 200k when it should largely do if the stock was present. At least Yakuza and the other long-sellers did okay.

Mario Odyssey crossed a milion before entering the busiest weeks of the year. It might be close to 1.5m by Week 1, 2018. It'll be the best-selling 3D Mario game in Japan (and perhaps worldwide too).

Switch games are having crazy legs—1, 2… Switch is rising a lot. Xenoblade 2 had a big drop, though; it'll be interesting to see if it can have some nice legs during holidays.

Also, Ultra Moon/Ultra Sun are selling way better than expected. 1% drop! They should achieve 2m easily.

PS4 cannot even top 100k in one of its most important weeks. MHW bundle was limited but it doesn't seem hardware increased much even if plenty of games released.

Whoever said they expect 80% drop for XC2 in the last thread was spot on.
While this game isn't going to leave the niche status, I'm hopeful that this series will go on.

PS4 has so many new skus here too, it's a really disappointing week tbh. Switch not doing over 200k isn't ok, Nintendo's stock situation is really hurting the platform's life time sales at this point IMO.

Christmas came early for D3 Publisher. Sound's like the best EDF launch ever with digital unless I'm missing something here ?

Respectable numbers for Yakuza Kiwami 2 also, but I'm surprised Hokuto ga Gotoku is still nowhere to be seen on Comgnet/Amazon.

Like every week I just want to get it on the front page that the Switch is still supply constrained. It selling under the 200k that many expected is due to lack of supply. Demand is still very high. Online retailers are still selling used units fo over retail price.

There seems to be nothing spectacular (neither good or bad) this week. Maybe a bit low for a holiday week. The SMO-Splatoon 2-MK8D trio selling well though.

Yeah, a normal drop for Xenoblade 2. Still decent, though not amazing. Wow at that Mario boost. The next Japan million seller. Seeing other Switch games getting a boost, it makes me curious to see where other Switch games might be at. Still heavy supply constraints for Switches in Japan.

Pokémon refuses to go down. Switch numbers are... not bad, but not near as good as it could be.

PS4 with a good week and charting hard on the software front.

Odyssey, BotW, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 DX are all here to stay

Maybe I'm wrong, the biggest sales week in Japan are the last 2 weeks of December, right ? So I'm pretty sure Nintendo reserved some units for the biggest weeks.

Zelda is probably close to 900k with Wii U version sales and digital. I doubt it can surpass 1M for the year but 900k (if true) would be a great number.

PS4 did well enough but expected a bit more with a bundle and two releases north of 100k. Switch did ok but Nintendo not providing enough stock is really holding it back.
