I'm out of the loop with content updates. I know 8.2 is currently on the PTR. Is there any sign of a release date yet? I know we can speculate, but usually when we're closer to release, people can pinpoint a specific day.

Does anyone know if the Fallen Protectors fight in Siege of Orgrimmar is bugged atm? I usually just run right through that fight, but now I can't get past it at all. When they reach low health they just become un-targetable and heal up, and that just repeats over and over.

I didn't have any issues with protectors, but I did have treasures randomly resetting on me in the phase transition.

addendum: So since I've run it last, Protectors is definitely broken. Rook and Sun become untargetable when they summon their adds as intended, but their adds aren't spawning and the fight never ends as a result.

Yeah, it's super bugged. No matter what I do it always ends up with one or two of 'em just endlessly becoming immune and healing themselves.

I'm extremely ready for 8.2 for sure. Here's hoping it is sooner rather than later but tbqh I haven't had the time to check the status of the PTR aside from the quick tweets WoWHead posts. I also don't like spoiling the content by playing it early (I don't care about reading updates, though) but I super want to explore the two new zones so maybe I'll cave since I'm off next week.

I still haven't decided which alt to play alongside my main which is a rogue. Currently either warrior or druid, slight chance of priest and remote chance of monk. It'll probably end up druid. I like playing it the most in pvp. May depend on how things shake out with the neck pieces and such.

How does Titan Residuum work right now? I can't find an updated guide with appropriate numbers. Older 8.1 guides suggest you get at least some residuum for scrapping lower level Azerite gear, but I just scrapped a 375 and got nothing.

If the piece is from 8.1 content or is randomly generated (for lack of a better term) during Season 2, then it'll drop some residuum when you scrap/disenchant it. So items from Uldir or the Arathi Warfront won't give any, but World Quest and Emissary rewards, BoD and Darkshore will.

(this may not be entirely accurate, but it's the best i've been able to surmise)

Gotcha. I'm like, 90% sure this item was from a WQ last week, but I could be wrong.

Uldir does drop azerite that gives residuum. As long as it dropped for you after 8.1. Same for arathi. Basically any 340+ epic should give at least 1 as long as you obtained it after residuum was introduced live.

then i'm a bit confused, because i've definitely had stuff from the world bosses not drop residuum

either way, azerite is dumb and i hope it dies soon

Quit bit of info from the Classic Beta stress test:

Layering extends to the General Chat. What one person sees in Layer #1 is not what person in Layer #2 will see.
Grouping while in another Layer pulls you out of PvE combat and puts you in the new layer.
Grouping while in PvP combat however does NOT pull you from your current later.

Was able to get an order in via Best Buy and got the GCU discount to boot! Very excited.
Nice glad to hear we were able to get a copy. I was worried GCU wouldn't work on it since it's technically not a game.

    • Vengeance
    • Havoc
      • Demonic Origins - The cooldown of Metamorphosis is reduced by 2 min, but now lasts 15 sec.

      • Moonkin Aura - Starsurge grants 4% spell critical strike chance to 8 allies within 40 yards for 18 sec, stacking up to 3 times.
    • Feral
      • Leader of the Pack - While in Cat Form, you increase the melee and ranged critical chance of raid members within 40 yards by 5%. Leader of the Pack also causes affected targets to heal themselves for 4% of their maximum health when they critically hit with a melee or ranged attack. The healing effect cannot occur more than once every 6 sec.
    • Guardian
      • Sharpened Claws - Maul increases the damage done by your Swipe and Thrash by 25% for 6 sec.
    • Restoration
      • Overgrowth - Instantly applies Lifebloom, Rejuvenation, Wild Growth, and Regrowth's heal over time effect to the target.
  • Hunter (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
    • Beast Mastery
      • Survival Tactics - Feign Death removes all harmful magical effects, and reduces damage taken by 99% for 1.5 sec.

      • Hot Trub - Purifying Brew deals 30% of your purified staggered damage to all enemies within 10 yards.
    • Mistweaver
      • Way of the Crane - Increases your Physical damage by 25%, you remove and become immune to all snare and root effects and you heal up to 3 nearest allies for 150% of all damage done. Lasts 15 sec.
    • Windwalker
      • Reverse Harm - Heals a friendly target for 8% of their maximum health, and causes 100% of the amount healed to instantly be dealt to the nearest enemy as Nature damage within 5 yards. Generates 2 Chi.
  • Paladin (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
    • Holy
      • Divine Favor - Your next Holy Light or Flash of Light is increased by 100%, costs no mana and is unable to be interrupted.
    • Protection
      • Steed of Glory - Your Divine Steed lasts for an additional 2 sec. While active you become immune to movement impairing effects, and you knock back enemies that you move through.
    • Retribution
      • Unbound Freedom - Blessing of Freedom also increases movement speed by 30%.
  • Priest (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
    • Discipline
      • Premonition - Heals nearby targets within 20 yards for [ 75% of Spell Power ], and applies Atonement to yourself. Deals [ PS * BC1 ] Shadow damage to yourself for each Atonement you have active, and increases their duration by [ 5 + 0.1% of Spell Power ] sec.
    • Holy
      • Rapid Mending - Prayer of Mending is now instant cast, and its jump range is increased by 10 yards.

Yeah, I was reading that earlier. It's pretty awesome - I'm glad they're still adding more to this neck piece during the PTR cycle. So far, it looks to be a huge improvement over the McGuffin it was during 8.0 and 8.1. I'm ready for June/July!

I'm glad they're doing that. I feel gimped when I don't play in war mode because we lose some of the PvP talents.

Good article, man.

It seems like classic is designed specifically for the people that never went through wrath. Vanilla and current are so vastly different that I just don't see them attracting the same crowds. People that didn't play in vanilla wont stick around, I think. I don't doubt they will check out the game but I don't see them doing multiple 60s.

I'm going to do it once and on the horse side because I never really saw that side of the game- I was always alliance. But I doubt I'll play more from there. I raided hardcore in vanilla and have no desire to do it again.

Where is the BMAH now?
There's actually one in each continent. In Kul Tiras it's in one of the Scrimshaw areas, and in Zandalar it's just past the tunnel in Little Tortola.
Cool essence, but the Warlock ones are all pretty lame.
Falls in line with Warlock PvP talents which are also pretty lame. I'd honestly rather they do something stupid like give you Call Felhunter just so they have a reliable interrupt without having to use a less efficient pet.

That's pretty much what I came to as well. I'll probably work my way through Classic once, but it certainly won't be a long-term thing or my primary version of WoW.
