That's a lot of cash. The ramifications of consolidation aside, I'm cautiously optimistic about their future with the properties from Fox.

Can they completely revamp and do-over Fox News, or will this actually mean Fox News has even more money and power to spread their hate and xenophobia?

Also, do competition laws really not impact this?

Disney now owns a majority of Hulu. Guess what the Disney streaming services is going to be based off of.

Sucks that media has become even more monopolized but I can't lie I love that the X-Men are back home

Shit I sort of forgot about FX in all this. Disney is going to pull all of their stuff for a new streaming service

Disney like owns entertainment now. Damn.

So this means Anastasia is now a Disney Princess? It's better than most other animated movies anyway.

So Disney may well end up owning Sky? Interesting.

That would be a stepchange in UK broadcasting as Disney would control much of the content it servers via the Sky and NowTV platform.

Combining with Disney are 21st Century Fox's critically acclaimed film production businesses, including Twentieth Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Fox 2000, which together offer diverse and compelling storytelling businesses and are the homes of Avatar, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool, as well as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Hidden Figures, Gone Girl, The Shape of Water and The Martian—and its storied television creative units, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX Productions and Fox21, which have brought The Americans, This Is Us, Modern Family, The Simpsons and so many more hit TV series to viewers across the globe. Disney will also acquire FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, Fox Sports Regional Networks, Fox Networks Group International, Star India and Fox's interests in Hulu, Sky plc, Tata Sky and Endemol Shine Group.

So does this mean Disney did in fact get the Fantastic Four? I know there was a lot of debate over that.

Lol. No one is forced to watch Star Wars, Marvel stuff or anything else. What's with the monopoly argument? There are plenty of other IPs in the world.

Legit question for people who knows about the business. What does exactly this means for media in general? And does this actually means that the X-men and 4F are going to be in the MCU?
