Surprised seeing more love for S1, I definitely played 2 a lot more.

Did Eminem really sample I Love Rock n Roll on Remind Me lmao I don't think I can finish this record

Not really into the N.E.R.D. album- I usually don't care for when Pharrell dips into rock/pop-punk or whatever which is all over the project- but "Lightning Fire Magic Prayer" is dope. I wish he played in that lane on a few more tracks.

First listen of Sat 3, it's pretty good. Feels a little more mellow, not as many bangers. Probably the least i've liked a saturation on a first listen but I reckon it'll grow on me.

First is still king.

Sat 3 is dope, on first listen. Not sure where I'd place it compared to 1 or 2 yet.

Revival is...something.

OhgodImsooldandstilltryingtorelatetothekidschristopherreeves. I. Need. Somebody. To. Slap. The. Shit. Out. Of. Me. For. Rapping. With. Ed. Sheeran. Please. Somebody. Stop. Me.

THIS MOTHERFUCKER SAMPLED ZOMBIE? What the fucking hell.

Okay, a couple of real good tracks to end the album. Castles and Arose are easily the highlights of the album. But like 4-5 songs worth a shit are not an acceptable ratio. The ones where he's trying to be funny or political are garbage, but the tracks where he drops the bullshit and tells a story are good.

Jay had to learn how to drop the facade and just talk to the peoples on 4:44. Somebody in Em's camp, probably himself, didn't explain that the kids aren't going to relate to a 40 year old rapper no matter what and the ride-or-die fans aren't impressed with a lineup of crappy pop hooks or rewarmed raps about farts.

If this album was a 8-10 song EP with Em just talking about shit like Castles or Bad Husband, it'd be a pretty damn good album. But you have to go 7 tracks deep to find one that isn't complete trash. And sampling Zombie is goddamn unforgivable.

The thing with Jay and Em though is that Jay's always been more conversational. On most Jay tracks it feels like he's sitting there with you just talking. Em though always feels like he's rapping to you. Stan and Toy Soldiers are some of his only songs where it feels like he's not rapping but just straight talking or in Stan's case reading letters. Even on those tracks it's hard to think of any bad lines from the guy because he's not trying to be all "rappidy rap rap" with you he's just like "ok this is how it is, so me and Ja-" which is why they were dope.

I do like the more "pharell just doing pharell" songs but I'm consistently surprised when I hear that people actually like the previous N.E.R.D. albums. The only thing I ever liked was the DFA remix for she wants to move.

N.E.R.D's first two albums are some of my favorites ever. I like all their albums but this newest one will likely join the first two.

I do remember that first album getting a lot of love. It always sounded like a random mish mash of songs along with a few super thug rehashes (lapdance and truth or dare) to me. Hella hard to listen to.

Their first two albums are some of my all-time faves. Yeah, the lyrics are cheesy, but I got a huge love for that sweet Neptunes sound.

This is by far the easiest Brockhampton album I've tried to listen to. Beats and verses are still sorta all over the place but it's like there's a normalization filter over the entire thing. Hottie is incredible.

It's hard to say "Future ruined another song" with a lazy ass trash verse when you don't speak fluent Spanish but with reggaeton I think it's pretty obvious that none of them are actually saying anything.

This RJ x DJ Mustard album is not going to change anyone's mind about Mustard, it's still more similar sounding beats, which I'm cool with cause they're cool and not exactly bad. I think RJ and Mustard have fantastic chemistry (Main Bitch still goes today), so that's a plus, but I just don't think anything really stands out on here and that might just be the one or two years that were just saturated with work from Mustard. The beat on All 4s tho.. whew. I wouldn't recommend it to people as there's so much else out there, but FWIW its aight.

In other news, XXXTentacion arrested for 7 additional witness tampering and harassment charges.

this mad ethnic sample on the N.E.R.D. lmaoooo

I fuck with it, and the albums is definitely scatching my itch for funky beats and songs. Wish there was more of Future on 1000 though. That shit got me punching walls.
