His content is generally pretty entertaining - he's a gamer who debates unusually well with morons and assholes on live stream from a fairly moderate American perspective. If anyone else was doing this and doing it well, I'd watch them too. Experts are preferred, which is why I love IQ^2, but considering a lot of people get their opinions from YouTubers nowadays, it's nice to see some pushback that might actually change minds and encourage critical thinking.

Ok so I watched Destiny's stream for a little bit last night. That girl he had on seemed like a horrible person. She said she didn't like dating black guys and Destiny asked her why and she basically flipped out and accused him of "white guilt". Then proceeds to say racist shit for about 5 minutes straight and then wonders why everyone in the chat is calling her racist. Then she literally just stops talking so Destiny ends the call. Where does he find these horrible people?

Yeah, I pretty much agree on that.

I might not condone some of the language he uses, but I respect him for the most part for always putting a spotlight and showing who these people truly are when put under direct scrutiny.

I remember in the old forum when people started questioning what was up with jontron based the trash he was putting up on twitter and the defense force started claiming bullshit like people were taking him out of context, that it was all just joke and worse that since he was doing that on his personal twitter and not on his videos than everything was ok (like that justifies it). It was only through the destiny stream that he really showed to the world the scum really was and now the only people who have the gall to defend him are the trash like him.

That's the kinda thing I'm thankful and expect from destiny's content, so I'm hopeful that he truly changes the more problematic expressions he uses as he himself have expressed the desire to do.

I got no problem with the Destiny discussion in here, it keeps it somewhat lively when there aren't a lot of other videos being put out.

I don't believe there was any active attempt to exclude Secular Talk, I just never got around to adding a bunch of suggestions to the OP. I'll add him if you write a thing

Besides that, I'm not sure if someone should be able to wholesale upload your content without any transformative effort at all. It's especially slimy for people to clip someone out of context with the intent to misrepresent their argument, so I have a hard time feeling sympathetic to Sargon or Brittany Venti, if these are the examples you're thinking of.

It's honestly this right here. Just like TYT, when Kyle's right on a topic he can be okay. But when he's wrong, ho boy. It's the same myopic issues and lack of actual fact checking that TYT has; if it fits the narrative, he takes any article, from any source, as gospel. And when he's wrong (as in the Russia case, where he clearly dismissed it so he could poo-poo the mainstream media), he either sticks his fingers in his ears and doubles down, or pretends it never happened.

It's why I have so much respect for people like Sam Seder and the Majority Report. They take the time to get things right, address when they get something wrong, and take an honest, practical view of politics.

Has Destiny stopped using Autism when he means stupid? Even though i dislike Martin Shkreli i like that he called Destiny out on that. As someone with Autism i really find it offensive when people use it in place of stupid. Autism is very serious and using it in place of stupid or idiot is very offensive to Autistic people.
